#Resiliencechat Just walked in the door, not prepared, and I see that @saratruebridge might not be here tonight, so I’m gonna go out on a limg, play it by ear, shoot from the hip, ask question later, and wing it! Who is ready to demonstrate some #resilience tonight?
A1 I set out to march and rally. It was good for me until I hit summer months. Looking forward to the March to the Polls coming up on the 20th.

A1 #resiliencechat One focus area was for me to #STRIVE I wanted to strive forward with my health, my relationships, my personal and professional goals, and upon review, I think I continued to make positive strides in all of these areas through the year.
was able to design a school logo that connects with our school community Logo. Our new town manager toured school with me on Friday and noticed it right away. I count that a success. #resiliencechat
A2 Not be scared. Mr. MIT was laid off early December, and we are contemplating starting a business. Possibly more than one. Huge leap of faith for me. #resiliencechat
A2: I went from T to admin this school year and am still learning daily! Looking forward to more growth as I get even more acclimated to my role #resiliencechat

My theme for 2018: #SeekBeautyhttps://t.co/2eUnXtetPw
I have found that even during this first week, my focus on seeking beauty in everything has added a new found calmness to each moment.
Keyword is learning. I have been on overdrive for so long, it will be different to have "me time" again. Resolution was to have more fun. #resiliencechat
I just knew you were going to ask that so here goes. I worked this past summer to connect it to our mission vision and beliefs as well. It is posted in every classroom and the main image is on our staff T-shirt. #resiliencechat

Thanks for jumping in @A_Klein09 And, I have first hand proof that you can accomplish this! She just finished a 15k on 1/08/18, that's 9.3 miles! #Rockstar#Resiliencechat

A2 - I want workout with some of the sports teams as a way of building relationships through health. I want formalize at least 1 community partnership and hold at least one more intervention event with my students. #resiliencechat
A2: I think my other thing this year is to not listen to complaining. New year... It's fresh... Start off with new thoughts and #hopeful for a great year. #resiliencechat

A3 Also I have to decide to deal with stuff that seems a) boring to me and b) intellectually difficult. I don't want to do bookkeeping, but we can't afford an accountant. #resiliencechat
A3 #resiliencechat I think it is important to face the alignment factor. Meaning, work to align those around you to also want the success you want. It's about creating a culture that also wants to see the success that you know is needed to make those goals become a reality.
A3 I also want to stop reacting to Mr. MIT and his fifty million ideas. Get him to focus, and stop feeling overwhelmed by him having such a great mind. #resiliencechat
#Resiliencechat Great point! If we expect status quo, & are always comfortable with the same answer-can we truly call this being #innovative#creative and #forwardthinking We must remain flexible, and ready to grow as educators, to build places where our children can really grow!
A1 -to lead like a pirate I took on working with my most challenging students at the beginning of the year showing them love and support from day one. This worked out well as we were able to do an @AliveAndFreeRx conference for over 100 of our dstudents. #resiliencechat
Q5: What new "thing" (concept, curriculum, ideas, thoughts, tools, strategies, etc.) in education have you found to be most helpful this past year? #resiliencechat
A4 #resiliencechat While it might be nice to receive support, I again, think that we can positively impact others by sharing our ideas, solutions, innovations, and then build a foundation of support to get that success we seek! #empowerment#Resilience
Q5: What new "thing" (concept, curriculum, ideas, thoughts, tools, strategies, etc.) in education have you found to be most helpful this past year? #resiliencechat
Face to face training with principals across the state. It is time away from school but forces reflection instead of managing day to day crises. #resiliencechat
A5: it's not really new, but connecting with students on a personal level. Giving them a voice. Teaching my peeps that we can have opinions that differ and still like each other. #resiliencechat
Q5: What new "thing" (concept, curriculum, ideas, thoughts, tools, strategies, etc.) in education have you found to be most helpful this past year? #resiliencechat
A5 #resiliencechat I think my #newthing is an #oldthing I'm working to assist others to #reframe their current perspectives, and trying to help others see that the world we need to create for students has yet to truly be conceived, so we must be #flexible#malleable for kids!
Q5: What new "thing" (concept, curriculum, ideas, thoughts, tools, strategies, etc.) in education have you found to be the biggest waste of time this past year? #resiliencechat
Q6: What new "thing" (concept, curriculum, ideas, thoughts, tools, strategies, etc.) in education have you found to be the biggest waste of time this past year? #resiliencechat
Q6: What new "thing" (concept, curriculum, ideas, thoughts, tools, strategies, etc.) in education have you found to be the biggest waste of time this past year? #resiliencechat
Oops! I misread Q5. It wasn't a waste of time. Best use of time. #resiliencechat
Q6. Waste of time....saying they same thing over and over expecting different results. #resiliencechat
A6 #resiliencechat I'll say it, I am concerned that the new broad assessments, which are supposed to collectively measure the growth of students across the board, may still not be the best measurements to know if each student is receiving the education they truly deserve.
A6 #resiliencechat If I found it to be a waste of time I probably didn’t do it.😳 I know complaining eats up a lot of time; so I try to listen to concerns and remain solution-oriented when faced with complaining.
Q6: What new "thing" (concept, curriculum, ideas, thoughts, tools, strategies, etc.) in education have you found to be the biggest waste of time this past year? #resiliencechat
Amen! I am good with changing how the info is delivered, but how they receive it is not always adv for kids. Reach them all. It is possible. #resiliencechat
Read Jacobsen linguistic theory.
A6: Unfortunately I think that there are a number of educational curriculums/products that companies promote to make themselves rich on the backs of our kids. #resiliencechat
Q7: What new "thing" (concept, curriculum, ideas, thoughts, tools, strategies, etc.) in education have you found to be the biggest waste of time this past year? #resiliencechat
A7 Awareness. Flexibility. Better perception. Openness. Speaking as Kid O's mother. Too late for her, but we need more honesty in SpEd curriculum. #resiliencechat
A7: something new.... More relationship building. More 1:1 conversation to reach them all. More high 5s. More positive attitudes. Change the culture. #makeadifference#resiliencechat
A7 #resiliencechat A culture of trust and growth mindset for all of us: T’s, S’s, Parents, Admin, etc. I think we all bring value to the table and need to #listen and #trust in order to #innovate
A7 I should explain. Kid O is our older daughter who is severely disabled and cannot speak. I needed teachers/admin and others who would be open to her ability to learn. #resiliencechat
A7 #resiliencechat
I would love for more #educators to realize the power that is in their hands every day they have an opportunity to talk to, work with, support, any child, and or colleague. This power can transform others, and the self - #TransformationalResilience#TR
