  • jmac8229 Apr 3 @ 8:21 PM EDT
A4: Positive praise and celebrate the struggle (and growth!) just as much if not more than the end result. Teach students to coach and praise their peers also! #wearewayne
  • teachforthewin Apr 3 @ 8:22 PM EDT
A3: Empowering students to assess their own growth is a great way to encourage resilience. Students can then celebrate their growth and resolve to continue their learning journey. #wearewayne
  • WBDG Apr 3 @ 8:23 PM EDT
A3 (cont'd): For example, our play-by-play broadcast students are rarely as good as they will be at the first game. By the time they do it 65 times, they get much better. They may never be Verne Lundquist, but they can be the best they can be. Grit is a big ingredient #WeAreWayne

  • MrsWey10 Apr 3 @ 8:27 PM EDT

  • jclambert33 Apr 3 @ 8:28 PM EDT
A4: Strength and resilience are often tied to an emotion, our brains are wired to remember this, having the ability to problem solve in a proactive way is a life long skill that we must model daily #WeAreWayne
    • MrsWey10 Apr 3 @ 8:24 PM EDT
Q4: How will teaching resilience and grit carry over to the students’ future beyond just the classroom? #WeAreWayne
  • WBDG Apr 3 @ 8:28 PM EDT
A4: There are some things in life that you just can't give up on. The lessons students take from the "implicit curriculum" are so critical. That perseverance to a task even when it's tough is something that is a life lesson. Takes GRIT. #WeAreWayne

  • jmac8229 Apr 3 @ 8:29 PM EDT
A4: Learning and having the ability to pick yourself up and try again (as many times as needed) is something that will help students as they move into post-secondary education, careers, and relationships. #necessaryforsuccess #wearewayne
