A2: We can introduce simple ways to use tech in urban schools
A2 PD must recognize the unique issues of urban education in a respectful way

A5: Social Media is an engagement tool for urban Ss. It also can be used to help Ss become good digital citizens
Q5: Social Media is more accessible than websites and email you will be able to connect with Ps Ts and SS
A5: Why not get kids involved in answering questions with a Twitter chat?
I never thought about this!
They love Instagram more though, honestly. Think of the amazing things you can do with THAT.
we do that but we want to make sure there is follow through we are trying to work on that beyond the walkthrough
We are constantly trying to connect with parents https://t.co/3XI61bxjDO

KIK is pretty easy to manage....
I KNOW. Kids into fights over what happens on KiK
A7: For me?? Because I've been told by previous districts that it's not allowed! "boundaries"
A7 Ts do not understand it they only see the negative side of social media based on stereotypes
A7 It has to be taught as a professional educational resource
Yep, it takes consistent education on social media norms and digital citizenship https://t.co/LJ3ZdxKppJ
Ugh!!! our Ss have so much drama on there
This is something that I think my school could utilize well if we tried hard enough!
A7 Social media is scary if you're not familiar. Fear of the unknown.
"if" is the key word https://t.co/WEetAPBzpy
This is something that I think my school could utilize well if we tried hard enough!
it's something they're working on...toward..maybe?! if they'll allow us to communicate this way
A8: They need some sort of way to buy in to it. How do we make it relevant FOR THEM?!
A8 It has to start from the leaders
and I were talking abt this and most urban Ts aren't on Twitter
that's true. I'm on ALL social media, so they kids are shocked when I know about it
How do we get them on Twitter to experience this kind of PD?
um...I don't know?!! tell them that they can check in and out more easily lol
yes that should be a topic of discussion would anybody like to lead that LOL
A8 No they aren't because they see a direct benefit nor are they willing to sacrifice. is needed amongst urban teac
