A0 Kendre Milburn! 5th grade Science T at @CFISDWells ! Excited to finally be back! I’ve been off my Twitter game lately, time to jump back in! #cfisdchat
A1: This year I am so proud of how eager the students are to learn beyond the lesson. Their questions are so deep and inquisitive. They are pushing forward their own learning. #CFISDchat
A1: Last semester I presented at my first national conference at @ncte. It was an amazing experience to connect with educators across the country focusing on augmenting student voice. #CFISDchat
#CFISDchat A1: I am most proud of all the recognition I am seeing all over Twitter of educators connecting all over the world and taking risks for the benefit of our students futures!
I have to say I'm most proud of not falling back on the safety of what's already been done and taking risks to try new things in my classroom #keepitfresh#CFISDchat
A1: The one thing I'm most proud of has to be the relationships I have formed with my students. I've seen them willing to take risks and grow so much already this year! And I know it's because they know I love and care for them. #CFISDchat#CFISDspirit
A1: I presented my first Keynote ( on Early Intervention for S w Special needs) to 500 #ece teachers at a Faith Based conference this past summer! It was a bucket list type of event! #cfisdchat

A1: Honestly, I have been proud of my coaching abilities. I’m getting better at working people everyday and trying to find common ground for student success. It has been 2.5 years and coming. #cfisdchat
A1:#CFISDChat I’m most proud of my teams for trying new things this year. It’s not easy stepping out of your comfort zone to try new initiatives. #Building2bBest
A1: I am SO proud of the Ts I work with & the work, passion & energy they put into Ss every day! Today we got to visit with @E_Sheninger & reflect on our practices & get feedback to continue to move forward with our campus goals. Every T has SUCH a #growthmindset#CFISDchat
We worked with teachers at the beginning of the year on de-escalation strategies, looked at our discipline data and targeted certain areas, and we have seen a significant change in the culture of our campus this year, improved student behavior and happier teachers #cfisdchat
A1: I’m so proud of teachers for remembering the WHY (what’s best for kids) as a motivator to keep pushing themselves outside of their comfort zone. They work together to figure out any challenge and that team work makes the dream work!#cfisdchat
A1: I’m proud that I stepped out of my comfort zone & moved up to a new grade level! It was so great looping w some of my kiddos & of course working w amazing people! @CFISDWells4th#cfisdchat
A1: this year I am most proud of completing my first year as an IS at a brand new school ! My peeps and kiddos impress and wow me daily! It’s amazing #CFISDchat#ExploreWells
A2: Hahaha! @twitter of course!!! Then you have professional #Pd in your hand and can interact w the great educators both published and down the hall!!
#cfisdchat
A1: I am proud of how willing my students are to learn new things such as more implementation of technology and quick writes. They jump in with 2 feet! #CFISDchat
A1: I am so proud of the work @CypressParkHS ESL, SSL teachers are doing to set learning environments for ELs that are positive and authentic. I love getting to work with and learn from this group of teachers (and their Tigers), daily! #CFISDchat
A2: #CFISDchat 1 tool I would encourage teachers to use is Sibme. I think you grow the most when you are able to reflect on yourself & watch others demonstrating great classroom strategies. #Building2bBest@underwood89
A2 #obsessed with a book I did a book study on over the summer “Learning First, Technology Second” by Liz Kolb. @AggiePuckett is amazing to bounce ideas off of. She always has amazing ideas. #cfisdchat
A2: Twitter! I have learned so much! It's super easy to find out and connect with other people. Everyone is willing to share and uplift others. Love being able to share what we are doing and see other amazing ideas! #CFISDchat
A2: EACH. OTHER. Nothing makes an educator better than the willingness and ability to collab, whether it be with your partner teacher or on twitter. #CFISDchat
A2: I would suggest any of the books from @E_Sheninger if transforming learning is the goal! He is such a valuable resource for the why and the how when it comes to personalizing instruction, feedback and assessment. #cfisdchat#LT8Keys
A2: The #1 Book I will ALWAYS recommend to everybody, always (heh) is @bobgoff’s book #LoveDoes. This book is applicable no matter who you are or where you are. Love is an action, not just a word, both in the classroom and out. #CFISDChat
A3: Getting through my first @CFISDLSA in less than a month. I am learning so much about our district ag program and all that goes into putting on a great livestock show. #CFISDchat
#CFISDchat A3: I am just finishing up our #BoldSchool book study and I’m so excited about incorporating all the #blendedlearning tools I’ve learned about into upcoming lessons!!
A2 My favorite tool is hands down anything Google! It allows so many opportunities for interactive and engaging learning! #GoogleSlides#GoogleSheets are my favs! I love that there are endless possibilities for me to create activities for my Ss! #CFISDchat
A3: As a Kinder T I am most excited about watching my new readers grow and helping them begin to love reading! Itbis so amazing to watch them blossom and grow! #cfisdchat
A2: This is year 1 of many with a focus on the strategies in #TRTW by @nancymotleyTRTW I am excited to see how our teachers continue to implement this across campus. Highly recommend! #CFISDChat
A2: Well I don’t really want to share them 😉 buttttt I would say the @CFISDWells1st team. They are great tools to collaborate with and learn new things from! #CFISDchat
A2: That’s a tough one! I’d say start by getting on Twitter! It opens up the education world and gives you new insights and perspectives on classroom practices...instant PD on your phone! #CFISDchat
A1: I am loving the shift to student centered learning I am seeing not only at my campus but all throughout our district. The more they are involved, the more they learn! #CFISDchat#POPEPride
A3: As the 8th grade AP, I have been with my kids for 3yrs since they came to MS, I am so excited to see them complete this chapter and move on, I look forward to reflecting with some of them on just how far they have come and the growth they have made as human beings #cfisdchat
A3: I am most excited to find new and effective ways to help my 5th graders enjoy being in our classroom space while also watching them grow to love reading. #CFISDchat
A3: For the spring, some valuable PD about #CFISDblended learning and hopefully some really great STAAR scores. Personally, I hope to make more connections with admin that I can learn from. #cfisdchat
A2: I want to share Kids Deserve It! because it makes you look at education differently and how important it is to remember the kids when planning. #CFISDchat
A3: I am most excited to share out more with peers and building my #PLN. I used to keep my thoughts/opinions/ideas to myself because I get nervous sharing, but I’m learning how feedback helps everyone grow, not just me! #CFISDChat
A3: all of the growth students will make by the end of the year. #WowWritingWednesday will be amazing in May!! I can’t wait to see the writing growth. #cfisdchat
Q3: I am working towards a more blended learning classroom. I would like to collaborate more with other grade levels (K-2). As well as continue a positive and safe classroom community. #CFISDChat
Agreed. Lots of positives! I was never exposed to the strong vertical alignment between primary and secondary until #Twitter. Learning is everywhere! #sofun#CFISDChat
A3 I’m excited to see my Ss grow into more independent learners! They are starting to become more self-sufficient(if that’s the right word?) learners. They are starting to become more driven to learn. #cfisdchat
A3 I am most excited about the growth I see in the second semester. I’ve had some of my students for two years now & ALL my students blow me away w their learning. #CFISDchat
Q3: This year I am so excited about accomplishing an understanding of the curriculum and being able to include more use of technology and student choices. #CFISDchat
A3: I'm excited to continue to implement new ideas (like quick writes! More technology ideas!) And to continue the work we have been doing to figure out the best way to support all of my students. #CFISDchat
A4: To continue to work with teachers and coaches to increase the rigor of our first time instruction, using rigor and relevance to connect with students and engage them. You know nothing to complicated! #cfisdchat
A2: @Twitter, @Pinterest, and @TpTdotcom are the obvious ones I think everyone knows about and they are great! However, if I had to pick just 1 maybe you don’t know about it would definitely be the @sherlockcenter! Love their adaptive literature! #CFISDchat#POPEPride
In reply to
@CFISDchat, @Twitter, @Pinterest, @TpTdotcom, @sherlockcenter
A4: Graduating in May with my M. Ed in Curriculum and Instruction in STEM. Hopefully starting my principles certification during the summer. #CFISDchat
A4: My biggest educational goal for 2019 is to not only have my Ss understand the relevance of what they’re learning, but how important those thoughts are to me, their peers, and for their own self and growth. #CFISDChat
A3: Spring is so fun! The leadup to testing is great opportunity to reflect as a campus, in classrooms, personally. Great time to remind Ss how far they’ve come & give them them well-deserved encouragement! Also, it’s refreshing to see Ts realize their accomplishments #CFISDchat
Q4: This year I set a goal for myself to find one improvement I can make in teaching from what I learned in a PD and become the best I can be in that one aspect. #CFISDchat
A4: I always make it a goal to become better at giving feedback. But I also want to help Ts with purposefully planning meaningful lesson closures and ways to build relevance for Ss. #CFISDchat
A4: Organization and intentionality! My goal is to address a need, make an action plan and follow through! And of course.... Read more Books! #CFISDChat
A4: If I can walk out of my classroom every day knowing I tried to give my kids something valuable, exemplified a culture of kindness, and made my kids feel loved... I couldn't want anything more. #CFISDchat#2019goals
A3: I am super excited to establish even more inclusive opportunities for my students with their general education peers on my @popepanthers campus! #CFISDchat#POPEPride
A4: Learn more about educational technology and use it effectively in the classroom. I definitely want to learn more about what I can do with Google because I know I am barely scratching the surface! #CFISDchat
A5: I think that time constraints will hold me back a lot. I want to spend so much time diving in to WHY students think the way they do and then making it relevant but with everything we have to get done I see myself falling short in this. (Feedback welcome/wanted 😉) #CFISDChat
A5: Nothing! Graduation will happen! As far as other goals...life and work. Learning a new position takes a lot of my time and focus right now. #CFISDchat
A5: I think my internal criticism of myself would be my major hindrance. I’m going to try to focus on the positives. All the feedback I get is going to not only benefit me, but my students as well. #CFISDchat
A5 Time. I have to make time. I need to have a certain time every week/every other week where it is my time to write and I do nothing else. #priorities#CFISDchat
A5: I think often times I’m the one who stands in front of my goals. I need to let go of the idea of getting it right the first time. Sharing your goals with your team, IS, AP can help you stay accountable & offer you feedback and coaching along the way #failforward#CFISDChat
A5: time, time, time, and time. I need to commit to getting into classrooms more, scheduling it and following through, do a better job of attending planning. Did I mention that time is the biggest obstacle? #cfisdchat
Q5: The only thing that can get in the way is myself! As long as I continue working with my amazing team and staff I believe we are unstoppable! #CFISDchat
A5: There will be days when my focus is pulled away from the “main thing’’. To help, I visit classrooms. Seeing our teachers and students learn and grow is the best way for me to get back on track. #cfisdchat
A4: My professional goal this year was to learn at least 3 new strategies for teaching writing and keyboarding. So if you have any suggestions throw them my way! #CFISDchat#POPEPride

The growth mindset is not about perfecting it is about continual growth and improvement. We need to be realistic models for students! Fail Forward! #cfisdchat
A5: well, my tendency to be a happy scattered busy mess! But that’s why I am making organization/intentionality a priority! To-do lists and setting mini goals keep me accountable! #cfisdchat
A5: Being intentional with my time will really help me stay on target. & I love using our school's morning moment of silence for a quick prayer to set my heart right for every day with my kids! #cfisdchat
A5: I’m sure there are many obstacles that can get in the way of goals but I like to make small “mental” deadlines or checkpoints with myself on my goals. My accountability partner @LynleaTeaches and I also work through obstacles! #cfisdchat#ExploreWells
A5: my biggest obstacle will always be self-doubt! Doubting that what I have to say/my ideas are any good or “right.” But no one has all the answers & I remind myself of that daily! #CFISDchat

A5: Time! And fear of it not working. I just need to focus on being #greenandgrowing with a #growthmindset. It's better to try and keep trying than not try at all. #CFISDchat
#cfisdchat A5: I think there will always be challenges and obstacles to overcome. Thinking about how much has already been accomplished makes me want to strive for more for my teachers and my campus. 💕😊
A4: My educational goal for 2019 is to continue to learn from my @CFISDWells family. I want to get this blended learning thing down. #babysteps#CFISDChat
A5: Time is always the biggest obstacle! There’s never enough and it all goes by so quickly! Setting smaller benchmark goals for myself leading up to the over goal will help ensure that I accomplish what I have set out to do. #CFISDchat#POPEPride
A2: That’s a tough one! I’d say start by getting on Twitter! It opens up the education world and gives you new insights and perspectives on classroom practices...instant PD on your phone! #CFISDchat
A1: The growth I have made and balancing technology use. I have learned so much!! I am so thankful to have colleagues that are willing to teach me and answer a billion questions. #CFISDchat
