Good Tuesday morning all you friends Today's topic.
What is your favorite/most effective tech or app in your classroom?
Ugh! hate when that happens!
Good morning, ! Cathy from NJ, Grade 8 ELA. Be right back w/ my first cup of coffee!
Good Morning! How are you?
This is a very big question for a 15 minute chat :)
Eh. I don't really think of tech in a way that works with this question. I created a this week and I liked it.
Was thinking the same thing!
Favourite tech
Probably the human... but our intranet is Ok
I absolutely love but my district just put a halt on it ugh!
Good morning friends - Marifran, hs librarian from NY. I love for helping me to organize resources for Ss & Ts
Besides the suite I'd have to say quizlet, kahoot, quizziz. Kids love the game I love the data
Good morning friends! David, MS Principal back after a short trip to beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee!. How r we?
Easy answer to today's Q: The technology that helps the specific S I'm working with increase his/her own depth of knowledge.
Hi Veronica
I'm enjoying school holidays. pulled out 180 scotch thistles today
This week my favorite app is good ole iMovie which we're using to show mastery(?) of fiction elements. I'm still behind the times.
For my stats class, the calculator is the most powerful tech. It can do so much and help us accomplish so much more.
Good morning! I made it here today!
Shame. It is a great one. Safe, too.
Good morning! How was the wedding?
I'm philosophical on this one... It's not any one app but rather the willingness to explore and grow a wealth of knowledge.
Good Morning Enjoy the day and may you challenge your students' thinking!
is my go to for collaborating & creating in the classroom
Yup! Parents love it and miss it. Ugh!
time to open lots of tabs to investigate later
Sounds like a lot of work. Glad you are enjoying your time off.
I didn't think about organisers
My calendar makes everthing better
I'm enjoying Canvas. It's easy to use and plugs in to my gradebook. Also has a nice discussion feature akin to social media.
Good morning! My faves: remind, kahoot, Plickers.
I'm great! Nice start to the year. I'm not stressed, yet!
What we use every day as an effective communication tool is . Ss and Families love it. I have plus to assess too!
WHY?!?! Remind is the best app I use for instant communication w/parents https://t.co/dJqrxp6fg8
I absolutely love but my district just put a halt on it ugh!
Yeah, that's my point. Depends on my 'audience'. I'm happy when the kids are engaged.
Good morning -> no worms, please, for this early bird...
Your conversation practice idea was a huge hit with my Ss yesterday! So grateful for you:)
Yes! We must always be willing to explore new things to better, more effectively personalize the learning for each student.
Their interpretation of a new law in CT
Good morning . Stacey from NJ. I don't know much about tech and apps. I'll be lurking. 😉
I'm loving and ! Great ways to enhance communication and learning!
I don't have one favorite app, it depends entirely on purpose and context as to which one I will use.
My favorite tech ... the one(s)that works for the kids ...
I guess I don't think of tech... it just happens
Whichever app creates a spark of enthusiasm in a student & gets them excited about learning is my favorite.
Their interpretation of a new law in CT. It is awful
Thought about you all day yesterday. Hope today is easier.
I think I'm going to have lots to research this week. Thanks ??
Morning Stacy, I'm sure you use some tech
I would say use of googledocs on chromebooks. We do a lot of writing, and the auto-save is a blessing with students.
I am enjoying using Remind this year to keep my parents informed. They seem to love it too!
exactly. if I catch that my 1st period class really likes something, i'm going to gravitate to that.
Crazy beautiful. 72 deg, ZERO humidity. Family all around. Great way to spend 4 days!
Good morning, . I'm Ku, Learning Coach, Argentina. Love photo/editing apps that tell a good story. https://t.co/nBAWP1PLfD
I'm so happy that it's working for you and your students!
TODAY is the day you've been waiting for... ...
Same- I'm using tech to enhance my reading Ss' abilities to read https://t.co/VyNjfZRgOY
Easy answer to today's Q: The technology that helps the specific S I'm working with increase his/her own depth of knowledge.
exploration leads to expertise.
maybe we'll get a second third or fourth day!!! How about it ?!?
Too funny:) Yes, Coach, this is quite early for you.
I fully agree! Apps are always changing anyway. How are humans growing with them (or creating new ones)?
Good morning ! Great question!
Glad to hear it! Back to the humidity here :)
Thank you. Very much appreciate that! Went better than expected. Then we had a lockdown drill, and the questions came.
old school my friend https://t.co/Uh8qyJb0Sm
For my stats class, the calculator is the most powerful tech. It can do so much and help us accomplish so much more.
Love for reaching out & bringing parents into the learning! doing an awesome job with it!
I just took a screenshot of this tweet. Spot on:)
Yes! There are tried and true ones, but I try not to pigeonhole. I do love a chrome book though!
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
For Ss writing, Google Docs. Real time feedback.
The best app is the teacher! They know their content, what deep learning is, and how to differentiate w/tech https://t.co/dxYdoJWDKB
Good Tuesday morning all you friends Today's topic.
What is your favorite/most effective tech or app in your classroom?
We're of similar minds here. Apps keep changing. I love the ones that students love.
Absolute favorite tech is twitter. Ss have 1:1 laptops or can use their phones. Have also become a fan of Google Classroom
I'm just beginning to understand and use SMART Notebook...it's been 16 years and I didn't have this tech back then. 😊
A little late today to .
Brian, HS principal from Mass.
I use all the time. I need to check out
I like googledocs too. https://t.co/11KQ4hhysu
I would say use of googledocs on chromebooks. We do a lot of writing, and the auto-save is a blessing with students.
My favorite app is Twitter and Voxer. I have learned so much via my PLN on both platforms!
What Anna said https://t.co/SlQpqDWZ3n
I don't have one favorite app, it depends entirely on purpose and context as to which one I will use.
Why,???? ours is almost insisting on it We even have a staff remind https://t.co/m0N685kxWO
I absolutely love but my district just put a halt on it ugh!
Ok, we had something similar in TN where I grew up. Thanks for the visual!
Good morning! is hands-down the best app for elem. P engagement, kids as creators, artifacts for assessment, so versatile!
Yeah, i recently learned about but im not allowed to use it to its full potential in my district.
Bc I explore so much I don't think I have a favorite. I am a BIG fan of creation tools and tools that allow others to collaborate
I have been digging eduzzle for blended & flipped student work
My MacBookAirs are a really nice asset in the classroom ... they are a nice vehicle in the tech adventure
Good morning everyone! It seems Maine hasn't gotten the memo it's fall, we have another glorious warm day
Going to look into this - thanks for the recommendation!
can you give me some examples of creation tools?
My favorites are , , , and .
Yes! The beauty having the Ss find apps that also work for them is they then bring a wealth of info to you (my scouts).
Our district is using a lot of Google. I use google docs and classroom.
That's why my cats aren't allowed in my room at night! LOL
is now trending in USA, ranking 23
Anyone have a good site for a low, very low, reader?
yes !!! students ( or me) can never lose work !!! https://t.co/IUcMaKV0Zq
I like googledocs too. https://t.co/11KQ4hhysu
I would say use of googledocs on chromebooks. We do a lot of writing, and the auto-save is a blessing with students.
Well-worth checking out! Best wishes!
Definitely. Creating over consuming any day.
good morning Carla, looking forward to see you today
In general, I think edtech needs to step its game up. Every app is trying to do everything instead of one thing well.
With so many choices for Ss, I like them to find academic uses for their fave/ most useful tools
Thanks! You are awesome as always.
Pedagogy should come before technology. BUT we need to know WHAT the tech can do in order to leverage the digital.
Hi all! I've been MIA lately because I've needed the sleep (34 weeks preg) Good to see you this morning. Betsy, bio teacher from nj
Looking for fluency help? Any thoughts?
Im not allowed to sync it with my outlook.
♡ allowing S's the opportunity to help find resources for their learning
For the classroom I like Symbaloo and Buncee. I've been using them a lot lately.
Me too! Feels like I've been gone forever....
I'm always open to Ss using their personal favorites for most assignments.
I have not tried this! Need to take a look. Not a lot of access to tech in our district but some.
What a nice way to start my day - thx Veronica!
Photo/Video Apps are always coming out. It's good to explore and change. Right now loving the Prisma app https://t.co/fDzvH6XmmP
That's where it all starts. Tech is just the tool to help us be better Ts if used correctly https://t.co/cAb45MfGPV
The best app is the teacher! They know their content, what deep learning is, and how to differentiate w/tech https://t.co/dxYdoJWDKB
Good Tuesday morning all you friends Today's topic.
What is your favorite/most effective tech or app in your classroom?
I'm working with students reading below grade level. We use https://t.co/J7FwKtjV7a
Anyone have a good site for a low, very low, reader?
This is the attitude that schools need! It is all about willingness to learn and taking risks. https://t.co/4uVoSJgeD2
I'm philosophical on this one... It's not any one app but rather the willingness to explore and grow a wealth of knowledge.
Well tech or apps depends on the audience, I like using One Note, keeps me organized, also use padlet an of course my fav Twitter
Best place to engage Ss in investigative mathematical thinking, with instant feedback is by far . https://t.co/z5BG3WfBqp
The best tech tool is whichever gets the job done at that moment. Reading the Ss & their needs / engagement level is important.
hmm...you have to pay for that program?
Good morning In my low-tech classroom my fav tech tools are for anonymous Ss response and for quick fact checks
One favorite of mine is where I flip my class. My kids do presentations in there as well. And theyre pretty impressive
Great for global connections
Looking into Google Blogger for electronic s portfolio. Thoughts, bfcers? Can you upload & recap? https://t.co/LAL4iiA0Xz
I love are engaged. When they make their own, they have to organize ideas, identify correct information, and more
is a great app/site for instant feedback and creative visuals.
If I am honest, I often forget to include tech for things like check ins/exit tickets. Would add engagement to remember pallet, etc
Have you tried ? Teachers get it free and kids (even low readers) can find books that interest them.
agreed, tech is not a be all or end all or the time. Must be chosen carefully and to advance learning https://t.co/JQvEGmP0uz
The best tech tool is whichever gets the job done at that moment. Reading the Ss & their needs / engagement level is important.
super easy way for Ss to share information with each other
We use here. My kids love it. Can read or be read too.
I haven't, but I will! thanks!
Great to see you this morning, Betsy.
I have to say, I'm a junkie. Keeps me so organized!
I user videoscribe for animated presentations. Even Google slides can be a preso tool.
Thing Link, tackk, sway, powtoon, we video, screencastify, Google slides (unlimited potential) easel.ly. https://t.co/kWlJoTR1qb
can you give me some examples of creation tools?
I appreciate you listenership! You rock!
oh I haven't heard of that one, I'll be checking into it, thanks for sharing
I here about an app. I play w/it for a while. I hear about another. Repeat. Use lots in GAFE. complement w/ flavor of the month.
I've never tried either of those - time to play with new apps!
Just used Pear Deck for the first time last week. The Ss loved it ❤️❤️ very interactive 👍🏻
. Same for me. Can'y pick 1. Depends on purpose, but collaborate & create is essential
Thanks Stacey. It all starts with a good teacher.
Reply fav. tech. Exclusive of or LMS apps a fav. is for collaboration and polling. Also, Google forms.
We became a microsoft county a few years back so im trying really hard to get into that. I may even use bing.

Got to go friends. Sorting out my vote from abroad info today
Thanks! Will check it out.
Yes! It's incumbent upon me to 1st be a great teacher & then know which tech (from a deep repertoire) is best for each S.
Yes, you can upload and add comments to Seesaw.
That would make a great classroom sign!
Bing?!?!? What!! Let's plan that GHO soon! Please remind me!
Got it, Right now, The Nook. We loaded current , high-interest books that have gotten long, sustained , reading.
I wish my son had you as a T! Power Pointed to Death in Intermediate grades. Let them choose! They know more than T's!
I'll keep you posted. I shared it with my teammate at lunch.
Our school uses both constantly, it's great

Might I suggest checking w your ? We curate all sorts of information, incl. powerful resources & apps
it's so versatile! They're really responsive to teachers. Have worked to make it accessible for any tech setup
That's why I liked creativity tools vs specialized apps.
I can see the picture (a lake) and the quote now.
I need to learn about that feature.
Great to see you both this a.m.:)
What are you looking for, exactly? I think the key is to get engaging books at their lvl to build interest & stamina.
Haven't heard of it! Is an app, web tool, or both?
I like for backchannel discussions. Takes some monitoring for on-task work.but worth that time investment.
have a great day everyone!
Apps that promote & such as I guess I can't pick 1
Gotta run... need to post to Blackboard for my grad class and have a meeting this morning! Have a great day everyone!
. Yes! Google Forms with and Autocrat add-ons are excellent.
Thank goodness the chat is ending, too many new ideas, head is full! Have a great Tuesday everyone. Thank you for all the ideas.
Yep! It's a culture of learning something new & growing each day. If we can't do that, we're likely in the wrong gig.
order you copy now from ->
If it works, and works well, why replace it?
Excellent advice...never put the 'cart before the horse'!
I believe that, but when you don't have the stamina, and the level is incredibly low.....
yes have used that before, it's a good tool for exploring primary source documents https://t.co/2GijnJplcS
Just used Pear Deck for the first time last week. The Ss loved it ❤️❤️ very interactive 👍🏻
Ylonka, I think it's time for us to do another tech tool PLAYdate!
Have a great day, everyone! Love the enthusiasm for today's topic. :)
Trying to be! Its a bit confusing, but important so getting it done. Hope you have a great day too buddy
My school is 1:1 - students know more than me!!! https://t.co/3DLWfGIUm1
love Google docs and would like to get some resources for learning as we are going 1:1 w Chromebooks
is useful for non-fiction, but can depend on the age of Ss
Have a great day, Friends.
google classroom lets you share documents, assignment dates, etc.I recommend looking at it.

What is your favorite/most effective tech or app in your classroom?

True, but iNaturalist is pretty amazing for doing citizen science while you're out there!
