    A1: I use various strategies throughout the day (everyday) depending on the lesson, subject, difficulty, etc. Sometimes I feel like it's organized chaos bc I am constantly trying to make connections (ELA to Math/Math to ELA) to show relevancy of what the Ss are learning. #3rdchat

    A1: I think I have a flexible instructional style. I get to know my students and try to do what I can to meet their needs. I like doing whole group when needed, small groups to zone in on strategies, etc. #3rdchat

    A1: Cheerleader/wise aunt- I encourage my kids like its nobody's business. I think I am good at subtly teaching them/getting them to do things they don't want to. Like when your cool aunt comes & tricks you into eating veggies your mom couldn't. (FYI- sped T for K-5) #3rdchat

    Sorry I'm late to join. I try to connect their learning cross curricular. I too tell them that I love them everyday! Style is spontaneous when current events/ call for further exploration because Ss get excited to learn. #3rdchat

    The 1st week of school I bring a roll of toilet paper. We sit in a circle on rug. Students tear off however many squares they think they need. I pull off my squares last. We go around circle & they tell something about themselves for each square they pulled off the roll. #3rdchat

    I used FlipGrid this year for Math Talks. Ss used their white boards to explain how to solve problems. This gave me a quick assmt on who got it and who didn't. Plus it supported our speaking and listening standards. #3rdchat

    A7: I’m all caught up now haha. Brain/snack breaks. We had last lunch @ 12:54, but first prep. I had them for 3 hours straight after their prep. A lot of my kids were hungry and needed energy. Once I incorporated more snack breaks and brain breaks, the energy was back. #3rdchat

    A8: I think giving student choice is a big one. It’s another goal of mine to implement more of. I did give them choice (mainly seating choices), but it made a difference in how their behavior was and staying on task just by simply getting to choose. #3rdChat

    We read & explore current events esp. as it ties to Science and SocSt to keep Ss engaged. Ss change locations for learning, let students use standing desks, yoga balls, etc. to keep focus. Take brain breaks. #3rdchat

    No, but I have met Ron Clark and heard him speak. I'm hoping to go to Ron Clark Academy in the fall. My principal is selecting 4-5 staff members to go. *Fingers crossed #3rdchat
