A1: Google Keep has become my new best friend. Too often I would get myself sideways with worry about what needed to get done...then I started making lists. It's fun to check stuff off and helps with clock management. #fearlessedchat
Hey all! Jumping for a bit - I have an open door policy before school and several lunchtimes. I host Make It Better Mondays and Take Time Tuesdays - all are welcome to make the world a better place, get help, get work done, read, or just hang out. #Fearlessedchat
A1 - No clue I have no time, an endless to do list, and I never say no to others in need..... Can't wait to read others' suggestions here! #fearlessedchat
A2. Working with them 1:1 on activities, projects, homework. Trying to spend some extra time building relationships, letting them know you care! #fearlessedchat
I have a lot of former students who might engage in "unseemly" activities if I didn't provide them with a place to hang and a friendly face, ya know? They want love and attention ... I got that! I'm a mom and a teacher.... it's who I am and how I roll. #fearlessedchat
A2. I try to build relationships with students in my clinical experiences by making sure to greet them at the classroom door every period. I try to visit with at least one student after class to check-in and see how their lives are going. #fearlessedchat
A3 I do yoga Monday nights, gym a few times a week, hanging with my besties, chillin' with my fam, etc. I find the time... Mind you I am either working as I hang out or talking about work as I hang out, lol. #FearlessEdChat
Forgot to intro myself: Vanessa Heller from Southern CA: #inquiry#pbl and #GiftedEd trainer, middle school humanities teacher, ELA Dept. Chair, Tech Innovator, Peer Coach. #FearlessEdChat
A2: I have taken to putting my watch on "silent" so I am not distracted by the constant buzzing. I cannot focus on conversations at times because of the constant flood of notifications...currently happening as I type now! #fearlesedchat
A4: Plan engaging lessons that don’t lose time in transitions. Realize students need breaks too for movement, water, or just down time. #FearlessEdChat
A5: Really grateful for my wonderful @Simmonsknights1 staff and students. They make me laugh (and sometimes cry), but I’m so blessed and happy to have them. #FearlessEdChat
A5. I'm thankful for the encouragement and kind words from everyone. This was my first Twitter chat and I will definitely be back to share more of my experiences! #fearlessedchat
#FearlessEdChat thank you so much for being just the best ever! I feel so ready to tackle the days ahead and then take some TIME over Thanksgiving! Can't wait to see you back on December 5th for our talk all about TECH :-)
A5: I am thankful for #fearlessedchat - whether it is 5 or 50 participants it always refreshes my spirit and mind. Thank you all for being the best PLN a girl could ask for
A4: Need to be mindful of THEIR schedules. Feeling a little guilty for holding our Drama kids "hostage" until 5, several times a week. In pursuit of a perfect show, it is easy to lose sight of the fact that there are other aspects to them than theatre. #fearlessedchat
A5: I am thankful for so many things, too many to list. But ultimately that each day I wake up I get another chance to make a difference, breathe, and hopefully bring light to the world! #FearlessEdChat
A5: Thankful for the return of #fearlessedchat. Seriously. It's the "neighbor" of #122edchat on my @TweetDeck w/#lastinglearning. I keep looking over & the lights have been off. Made me so happy to see that you are "home" again, @rlmiller137. The Wednesday Night "Neighborhood".
