A1: The key here is Multiple Means of Representation. Digital tools provide the opportunity to present materials in different ways! #ProvideOptions#UDLchat#lcpsEdchat
A1: We are big Google apps users at my school. Students access their assignments, materials, and assessments through Google Classroom. Love the feature that was added last year where you can post to specific students; has allowed teachers to personalize.

Totally! It really helps if teachers are helping students to select accessible content too (meaning, text that isn't just digital, but can also be read aloud, size adjustable, font adjustable, etc.) #lcpsEdchat#LearnerPreference
#LCPSedChat Denise, 8th grade dean @TrailsideMiddle I use outlook calendar everyday and sync it my smartwatch with 5 min alarms. Arriving on time communicates that you respect other’s time. ⏰⏳Wrapping up work in the time planned is an everlasting challenge
A2: Google Classroom, Docs, and Slides are the biggest ways we have students collaborating and connecting online. Docs and Slides are especially helpful when students are working together on a project outside of class. We also have some students blogging. #lcpsEdchat
A2: Comments on blogs (like after reading a book, go to the author's blog to leave a note), create reviews of products/books, etc. Be aware of synchronous and asynchronous opportunities. #lcpsEdchat
A2 I like Wixie for our younger students. It pulls together a friendly kid interface, but it is has a collaborative feature that lets kids draw, type, record audio / video and use stickers. #lcpsEdchat
I agree, but would like to see more choices in it such as to type or record audio only as a responses Ss had more than just video as their response option.

A3. I'm not sure that is does. 2 students working together to complete a worksheet doesn't make the task of completing the worksheet any more authentic. Give them a real-world problem to solve, no matter how small. Now you're really collaborating & communicating! #lcpsEdchat
@MiriamCheuk A3: I love seeing students collaborate across all subjects. Working with different Ss enrich each other’s experiences and they are so proud of their partner created work! #LCPSedChat
A3: It’s so much a part of Ss everyday outside of school life; only natural that they can relate best to having these experiences at school. Adds to their ability to learn from anywhere/anyone. Synergy; Ss can learn/produce something greater than if working alone. #lcpsEdchat
I agree that this does have that potential. Some Ts at my school give group tests where Ss have the opportunity to discuss the answers together. Powerful discussions result! #lcpsEdchat
A2 A3 #lcpsEdchat I spent some time this week with students who used Google reviews to publish their opinions. Opened up an authentic learning opportunity on critical feedback. No better #ottw than that!
