Good morning #edugladiators !
Roman from Ontario, Canada.
HS ELA Teacher/Student Success Leader/Agent of Transformation.
I gladiate for students by being a champion for change and by empowering student voice!
Morning, #edugladiators. I'm Brian. I teach middle-school students English in Colorado. Providing right writer feedback at right time & coaching peers to do that for each other... Feels like lifetime of gladiating to do on those fronts.
A1: Remind students they are publishing more than a product. They are promoting themselves. Reflection and continuous dialogue leads to improvement.
#edugladiators
A1: My 1st unit of the yr is on Mindset & Habits of Mind. Every MP, I have my students create goals & develop action plans that are in line w/ HoM. Ss access & reflect on these goals during our Mindset Monday Meetings. #EduGladiators#SatChat

A1) U have to start by teaching Ss growth mindset. Embrace challenges, embrace the struggle, & celebrate mistakes as learning opportunities. Frequently help Ss reflect (& model your own self reflection). Ss can reflect on their work, but also on their habits. #edugladiators
A1: I think allowing students to make mistakes and celebrate the growth from them is imperative to growth mindset. It also lays the foundation for setting goals for where they want to go #EduGladiators
A1 It's important that we establish and use protected time in our classes to reflect on created goals, examine progress towards the goals, and plot next steps. This helps Ss see how far they've come since they started #edugladiators
A1: Provide regular opportunities when students are reflecting on their own learning and progress. Be transparent and give feedback in a timely manner for students to reflect and correct before taking something for a grade. They make it a habit when you do. #edugladiators
We watch the videos and do a lot of activities from @joboaler which promotes #growthmindset In addition, we set and reflect on goals for each unit of study #edugladiators
Hi! Love the message of this pln. I’m a Pre-K teacher in Chattanooga. I’ve been special ed T, too. I’m all about gladiating for a positive, creative, risk-safe learning environment. #edugladiators
A1: We have to model to students that learning never stops. Do we celebrate the struggle? Reward perseverance to complete the task rather than quick completion? #EduGladiators
Our Ss have been setting life & career skills S.M.A.R.T. goals reflecting on their progress every 6 months. This year they'll be writing their own comments in our progress reports. #edugladiatorshttps://t.co/EFKhEXcMjn
A1 Plan for it. reflection is an intentional choice. Model and give students the opportunity as part of any assignment. One of the best skills you can share. #edugladiators
A1 I start w/ pre-assessments to see where Ss already are. Working on Ss setting goals using learning targets and periodic self-assessments. #workinprogress#edugladiators
A1: Part of the publishing process is the reflection piece. We celebrate this process and let Ss see that reflection, hard work, and success go hand in hand. #edugladiators
A1: Focus on the process of learning rather than the end product. We reflect along the way & discuss successes as well as failures & consider how to regroup & move forward. We work on having a growth mindset & viewing obstacles as stepping stones not roadblocks #EduGladiators
A1: With my kinder Ss we take the first steps of learning what goals are and how to set good goals - a couple weeks ago we began this process with Ss placing a post it with their name on it on chart paper under the goal that fit them best... first steps!! #EduGladiators
Agree, John. We also can structure teaching opportunities to provide examples of what that reflective dialogue can look like among our Ss. Helps our Ss navigate peer-to-peer reflection @Jhaywardtwit#edugladiators
Good morning all, Steph Dill elementary SPED T in Colorado. Sorry for jumping in late - late night with friends, so got up later this morning. #edugladiators
A1: Provide regular opportunities when students are reflecting on their own learning and progress. Be transparent and give feedback in a timely manner for students to reflect and correct before taking something for a grade. They make it a habit when you do. #edugladiators
A1~
Purposeful, continuous time for the setting of daily goals & intentions by both Ss & Ts
~ reflection should be embedded into lessons & conversations about successes, struggles & shared areas of growth should be ongoing, specific & a natural part of cl comm
#EduGladiators
A1.2: I also have my Ss reflect on their work habits after every workshop. They think about if they stayed on task, gave it their best effort, worked the whole entire time, etc.&they show my with a thumbs up,2the side,or down(sorry ifUhave stigma aroundTHEthumbs down)#edugladiators
A1 Permit multiple bites at proverbial learning apples. Fewer one-shot, high-stakes test-like performances; more ongoing, revisited, reflected-upon iterations over time. (Even tests can be taken iteratively. E.G., driving ones) #edugladiators
A1 By giving students more control over their own learning & the questions they have you can develop their mindset & habits. Students need to be in that driver's seat and find the connections between learning & their lives. Keep pushing them, keep empowering them. #edugladiators
A1: Somehow we have to separate the concept of feedback and reflection as being related to a grade. That will take changing all types of minds from Ss to Ps to community. #EduGladiators
A1 We set personal learning goals with strategies in the fall and then review again in January. Give daily feedback on those goals verbally #edugladiators
A1: Encouraging students to engage in the creation of the learning culture is an ongoing process. They should be contributing to it daily with ideas and product. After all, we are there for them. #EduGladiators
A1: Model, model, model. Also, provide opportunities for reflection. It's overlooked way too often. We cannot dive into inquiry and take positive actions in our lives if we do not first take the time to reflect. https://t.co/gmNg1qtP3O#edugladiators
A1: We reflect each day in our Journey Journals. Want my kids to see their time with me as an experience. Ask them to check in on that experience every day: academically, socially, emotionally. Want them to grow in all. #edugladiators
A1: Growth mindset has so much to do with forward thinking, maintaining hope and belief in ongoing improvement and change...driven by clarity of purpose...supported by thoughtful goal-setting...this is what our kids need to be guided to understand. #EduGladiators
A1: as a school we are holding morning meetings and working on the 5 stances from Mindset for Learning. All students have been given a "brain book" journal to support their learning, make goals, and be reflective. New learning for us all this year - we shall see. #edugladiators
A1: We can't just celebrate high scores, we need to celebrate growth and progress. Shout out students that improve from one assessment to the next! That is just as exciting and commendable as doing well on the first attempt!!! #edugladiators
A1: My Ss write a weekly reflection which creates a lot of great feedback for me. Sometimes what I thought I taught is completely different from what they say they learned. Always eye opening. #EduGladiators
A1) Be intentional about having discourse with students about their learning path and the direction they want their learning to go. Where is my friend @edUcation_frwd this morning? He leads this work with a passion. #EduGladiators
A1- our first goal is to be the best we can be at knowing the resources outside our classroom. If we want kids to wrestle with the world and be engaged we need to make connections for them. Reflection is born from engagement-engagement is born from connection #edugladiators
A1: With my kinder Ss we take the first steps of learning what goals are and how to set good goals - a couple weeks ago we began this process with Ss placing a post it with their name on it on chart paper under the goal that fit them best... first steps!! #EduGladiators
A1: I think that we need to create an environment where growth is celebrated, no matter how small. Every person has something to learn or a skill that can be developed. Even the adults in the building. Ss need to see that and we need to be intentional doing it. #EduGladiators
A1 For my little learners it’s all about my reaction to their attempts to do something. If I don’t model a growth mindset for them, most will prob feel like they can’t. I take a lot of pics and save work samples to SHOW them their growth. #edugladiators

A1) We commit to learning more about Habits of Mind together. Consider them to be soft skills superpowers. Reflection is something we practice daily in a variety of ways. Modeling & practicing together. #EduGladiators
A1: Modeling beginning with the end in mind. Which I feel we have to rewind and see where we want to go. It would be powerful for students to see T’s professional goals and the plan to achieve them. This model shows students that you are growing together. #edugladiators
A1 Our math teachers have Ss self-assess their understanding of learning targets at the beginning of class & again at the end of class to see progress.
#EduGladiatorshttps://t.co/mFTZmBBCdR
A2: example after reading a story: how would you change the ending? If you were the author, what would you want the reader to know after reading this book? Etc. #EduGladiators
A1: Taking grades “off the table” leaves feedback—the stuff of learning. One of the rights I empower my kids with, “I have the right to feedback as a necessary part of my learning.” No feedback, no learning. #edugladiators
Like your Journey Journals concept here, Mike. Provides opportunities for S reflection and allows them to apply lessons learned throughout their time in your class @MonteSyrie#edugladiators
A2 I often try to ask them: How can you use your new learning to make an impact in your community? I think making the connections between learning and how they can be active & kind citizens is important. This reflection is necessary. #edugladiators
A2- How can we do this even better next time? How can we take what we have learned and make life better for others? Why stop here let’s search for more options? What barriers prevented us that we can break next time? #EduGladiators

A2: One question has several emojis based on emotion such as “in control” or “confused” The Ss Circle one and tell me how they felt throughout the week. Do you feel confident about what you are learning and why? #EduGladiators
If you haven’t read my latest blog post, you’re missing out on an incredible and inspirational story: Honoring the Legacy of Septima Clark & Other Unsung Heroes in the Fight for Equity https://t.co/9bd7ZgQT0H…
A2) The reflection is one reason I am excited about standards based grading @waukeshaschools. Learning is an ongoing process without a final destination. Embraces continuous reflection, improvement, and feedback. #EduGladiators
A2~
~ how can you show Learning ? Feel free to use Picts, words, role playing, @Flipgrid
~How did you turn your I cans into I dids? What evidence to you have to share?
~ Go!Go!Go! Show what you know!
#EduGladiators
A2: Simple ones like...What are you proud of? If given the opportunity, what would you change? What did you struggle with and how did you overcome them? #EduGladiators
Ooh, I really like that! There's no right or wrong, so it asks them to really go deeper & beyond. I want to start incorporating more exercises like that. #edugladiators
Good morning! Lil late. I am Fran from NJ. Currently BSI teacher elementary. I gladiate for students by helping them build confidence and believe in their abilities. #EduGladiators
Q2 What questions do you still have about "x"? Do you feel you have a good understanding of "x"? What connections did you make with this topic you did not know? What value do you see in this beyond? #edugladiators
A2: How might you get the same answer using a different strategy? (Math)
What might someone who lived in a different time period or culture believe? #EduGladiators
A2: What did you learn that you didn’t know before?
What were you surprised about?
What obstacles did you encounter & how did you overcome them?
What would you do differently next time?
Why did you use the strategies/resources you selected?

A2 After discussing what worked, I usually ask “I wonder...” Qs. Instead of saying “that part was wrong” let them think what would happen if they made a small change. #edugladiators

A2: How much time did you spend? What resources did you use? What resources do you still need? Are there other perspectives to consider? What questions do you have? #EduGladiators
I like to ask students what have they learned that they will teach someone not in the group at that time. It gives me the opportunity to see their important take aways from the lesson #EduGladiators
A2 After I introduce a new topic "What is your favorite part, What do you find easiest to remember?" "Why?"
Kids think about their learning process and this helps me customize their lessons. #EduGladiators
Exactly. We need to take the focus off the grades and put it on the learning. When Ss care too much about grades they can't take the risks htey need to learn. #edugladiators
A2: When giving back an assignment, be sure to give time for students to review their feedback and write down 1-3 next steps they will do next time. And then, give them an opportunity to quickly incorporate their feedback! #edugladiators
A2 What questions do you still have about "x"? Do you feel you have a good understanding of "x"? What connections did you make with this topic you did not know? What value do you see in this beyond? #edugladiators
A2: With reading plans, Ss reflect on victories and unexpected surprises. What insights are hiding there? Then, we have them imagine themselves in three week's time. Where do they want to be? What could get in their way? How might they handle those obstacles? #edugladiators
A1: Taking grades “off the table” leaves feedback—the stuff of learning. One of the rights I empower my kids with, “I have the right to feedback as a necessary part of my learning.” No feedback, no learning. #edugladiators
A2: We take so much time grading and writing out feedback for students, but we don't give them time to truly review, understand, and incorporate it. Make that time! Make it a priority! That is how students improve, learn, and grow! #edugladiators
#EduGladiators Just a general thought that I think so much of this morning’s discussion hinges on the concept of grades and what that has done to the psyche of all of us! They just kill the concept of making mistakes!
A2: Was the outcome on your test what you envisioned? Would you change how you prepared? Why? How can I help you reach the outcome you envision? #edugladiators
A2- how can you be a better activist with these new ideas? Did we miss any chances to tie this into social emotional learning? Did I (teacher) not recognize how this connects to any of our other learning journeys? #edugladiators
A2: Do I have any further questions about this? What parts of the assignment did I think was easy? What parts did I find challenging? Did I use my time wisely? How can I improve for next time? #EduGladiators
A3: The compliment sandwich model works well here:
- I noticed this improvement
- This could use development
- You are making progress!
Supportive feedback can put a below-average effort into proper perspective.
#edugladiators
Love it! I always tell Ts we r too hard on ourselves. Many times the 1st attempt is tough. That doesn't always mean it was a total disaster. It's just the initial struggle when tackling something new. The more exposure, the more learning. #edugladiators
I launched this hashtag with my 2nd graders...throughout the week they add personal stop-and-jot self-reflections of learning &!goal setting to the board...I tweet them out on Fri afternoons...parents are invited to follow #2HVreflections#edgladiators
A3: Focus on the growth! What didn't you know until now? And push to continue. You may not know this YET, but there is plenty of time to continue to learn and practice! (Are we allowing Ss time and opportunity to show growth later?) #EduGladiators
A3: I think it is all about realtionships. If you have built a relationship with that S it is easier to sit and talk about the refelction/feddback process from a potition of trust and resepct. #EduGladiators
A3- you help the student find the positives. You look for their strengths and help that student reflect on what they did right. Then you focus on areas the student want to grow in and provide support #EduGladiators
A3: Reflect on what makes it a negative. . .discuss what steps can be taken to move forward, consider what could have been done differently to have an alternate result. #EduGladiators
A3 When I give Ss feedback, I try to always start w/ strengths & then move to 1 suggestion. Feedback needs to be intentional, focused & actionable. Can't be the "red pen" of words & phrases. #edugladiators
A3: I think by having the student change all of the negative words into positive ones gives new insight into their reflection. Ask them: how did that change how you feel about your work? It almost makes it into a learning target then for them #EduGladiators
Having our Ss teach skills to their peers taps into social learning. These experiences allow our Ss to practice leadership skills and reflect on how they can support the learning community in their classrooms @DarcelJ56223440#edugladiators
I launched this hashtag with my 2nd graders...throughout the week they add personal stop-and-jot self-reflections of learning &!goal setting to the board...I tweet them out on Fri afternoons...parents are invited to follow #2HVreflections#edgladiators
Had a conversation with a HS senior who said she hates getting math tests back because the very first peer conversation will be "What did you get?"
We decided to start a revolution to change the question to "What did you learn?"
#edugladiators
A3: We can show students that there is much to be learned from adversities. Wonder aloud with the student some of the possible takeaways they might gain from a tough time. Ask them what they think. Listen. Show and tell them that you believe in their awesomeness.💗 #edugladiators
I completley agree! Building relationships with students is crucial for their success and for times like these when they need that extra push #EduGladiators
A3)My Ss r getting really good at reflecting honestly, so they will sometimes reflect negatively. We ask, "knowing X, what will I do differently next time?"or, "what else do I need?" We turn it into an opportunity to think about how to improve, or what else we need.#EduGladiators
A3: In my class, we discuss how mistakes & adversities can be used to our benefit later if we have the right mindset about it. I would focus on the GOOD, and try to use the negative to create a positive learning experience for the S that they can be proud of. #EduGladiators

A3: Hand written and private reflections are perfect for helping the frustrated student.
The point is not to catch or judge.
The goal is to understand and help. Opens up and builds relationships which are vital for student achievement. #EduGladiators
A3: Don’t settle. Ask reflective questions that inspire the student to dig to the center, unearth the negative and replant the experience in a better place where deeper reflection can take root. #EduGladiators
A3: This is all in how we word feedback! Instead of marking it wrong, ask reflective open ended question. The same feeback that helps a teacher grow is the same feedback that helps a student grow! #EduGladiators
A3: Framing of the questions, location of the interaction, do we only chat w/Ss when they fail, our choice to accept their responses, even if their feedback hurts (student perspectives). #edugladiators

A3 I believe if we celebrate mistakes & the learning that happens because of them in our daily classes, Ss self-reflections & feedback will model this positive mindset. #edugladiators
A3. If a student has given himself a negative self- reflection you could ask them what they were expecting to happen. Then help them plan for the changes they could make for the next attempt. #EduGladiators

A3 To start, be positive throughout the year; erase the negative mindset. Best way is to reflect the learning in your grading. If you can't let them demonstrate learning later & penalize their grades for previous experiences, you will not change the mindset. #edugladiators
A3: I'm not going to deny their feelings and impose my own on top of them. But I will tell Ss that we have agency and choose how much work we put into something and how we respond to difficulty. #edugladiators
A3 Validate negative experience when that's what's being felt. Consider frank conversation about how much wallowing in negative feels necessary :) Then, explore why's behind feeling & coach how to find ways forward, whether through or around. #edugladiators
A3- maybe we first reflect as the teacher and make sure NEGATIVE isn’t a judgment that says more about us than the student. The conclusion may be difficult, but reflecting is always a positive. What a great life lesson opportunity— #edugladiators
A3: It’s all about connection...I work hard to build trust & rapport w Ss and their parents from Day 1...honest self-reflection and goal setting becomes easier when a foundation of trust is present...it removes the negative & simply makes it “our next step” #Edugladiators
A3 Quit making feedback negative. Feedback should be part of a cycle of learning, not a final resting point. Share, have conversations, discuss and help the students see their areas to grow using constructive language that provides opportunity for re-do's. #edugladiators
A3: Highlight their resilience and that now we know what to do get better. Scaffold an opportunity for them to experience genuine success, then have that student serve as a mentor to other students who experience negative reflections #edugladiators
A3 I ask both Ts (after a classroom observation) & Ss to tell me what they did well before they're allowed to focus on what they want to improve. We can't build anything on the negative but people are often so hard on themselves they can't see the positive. #edugladiators
A3~
~talk about the why...
~Be honest, transparent & stress your unconditional belief in the student’s ability to do better
~value the S input & come up with actions that support growth
~alway use language that consistently praises, supports & encourages
#EduGladiators
A4: Teaching practice change - giving student feedback verbally in person. That quick conference leaves no misunderstanding about my supportive tone and allows Q and A for clarity.
#edugladiators
A4: it has strengthened the connection between myself and the students. I will continue striving to ask better questions that challenge students to dig deep and reflect deeper. #edugladiators
Love this and agree! When providing Ss with self reflection checklists in reading/writing...we focus on behaviors & evidence of behaviors in 3 ways...”Yes, Sometimes, Not Yet” #EduGladiators
By asking my students for their thoughts and opinions allows me to see myself as an educator through the eyes of a 6 year old. It allows me to adjust and make things more student-centered for them. #EduGladiators
A4: I love student feedback. Whether google (preferable) or paper surveys, it is so helpful to read student feedback, make adjustments to my teaching/lessons, and reconsider how to incorporate students' interests and preferences. #edugladiators
A3: “You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have...” 80’s nostalgia aside, real reflection is going to reflect the real. I would suggest they take it in stride. Share that I, too, experience the negative in my own learning. #edugladiators
A4: As a Tech Integration Spec I see the value of asking for feedback and reflecting on everything I do. I will continue to ask for this feedback after PD sessions I present. This is how we get better! #EduGladiators
All feelings are valid & that needs to be addressed, but the more we embrace growth mindset, even vocalizing our own failures & mistakes, even modeling how we react to them, The more Ss will learn how to take those as learning opportunities for growth. #EduGladiators
A4: I ask for feedback from my Ss almost daily. It is imperative to me that I am teaching them in a way that they respect, appreciate & enjoy. Their feedback has encouraged me to get creative in my classroom & create meaningful experiences for them. #EduGladiators

A3: Helping turn a -ve S reflection into a growth opportunity...help her/him see the learning that embedded in the challenges of that moment...when we can return to a calmer state of being we are more open to identify the +ve within the perceived -ve experience. #EduGladiators
A4 I am MILES from where I started. Reflection keeps attitude and practice in check. What is best for kids? is a daily question and a daily struggle. #edugladiators
A4 I have to gauge my practice by what is happening in front of me. 4 year olds will let you know if it’s time to pivot. Sometimes stopping to ask them some Qs with my sparkly mic 🎤 can do the trick. #EduGladiators#preklikeapirate#tlap

A4) @PrincipalKafele talked extensively about does the image in your head of your leading or teaching match what the staff or students see. What is your evidence? One way to gather evidence is to ask the students and teachers. #EduGladiators
Absolutely critical to remove the “I’m here to assess you lens” when modeling self-reflection...it’s a knife-long behavior we’re trying to instill...we need kids to feel safe to be honest #EduGladiators
A4 Every two to three weeks I get my students to complete a reflection about their learning & our classroom. It is important to adjust to each student and their learning needs. I will apply the positive I can do anything attitude that I strive for daily. #EduGladiators
A4- if we create authentic ‘reflective environments’ then we are obligated to grow. Kids respond optimally when they are part of a loop, not at the end of a line— stay connected #EduGladiators
A4 I need to do more of this! I aim for surveys at ends of terms or units. So helpful! Relationships have to be well-established; Ss need to trust you'll reflect on their feedback. #edugladiators
A4: I'm always learning! It's vital that we seek our students' opinions. They must have voice, choice, and ownership (agency!) in their learning. We have a duty to cultivate an environment that provides that. https://t.co/pmUGEDW5dx#edugladiators
A4: Reflection & feedback empowers Ss & allows Ts to make more informed decisions when selecting instructional direction to take Ss. Allowing our Ss to reflect teaches them that this practice is valued & encouraged. Providing feedback helps them be more aware #EduGladiators
A4: This chat reminds me how vital student feedback is for a positive classroom climate, building relationships, and knowing what to reteach. #EduGladiators
A4- as a school counselor we have to get information out quickly and tend to rush the reflection/feedback. I will be more aware of how important the reflection/feedback piece is for student learning this week in my groups #EduGladiators
Q4: encourage teachers to add this into their daily practice, perhaps 1st for themselves, then expand to kiddos. Also refine my reflection process so I can model. #EduGladiators
A4) Typically, I try to see what kinds of things they like so I can incorporate those. I also check in on new things we do. Ex: We had a writing celebration with our class. A S said she would have liked to have done this w/another class. Great feedback! #edugladiators
Our math Ts no longer put grades on the assessment, only feedback, then Ss self-assess. This helps changes the focus from grades to learning. It's had a huge impact in our school. #edugladiators
A4) We are so much better together when reflecting & giving feedback. Working together like colleagues opens opportunities for both of us. Problems become puzzles to solve - we can do that! #EduGladiators
A4: Mainly that it's not the Mr. Evans show. It's not about me doing all the work, it's about Ss and their voices being heard, honored, and validated. #edugladiators

A4: a few years ago I made a commitment to myself as a teacher...”Say YES to Ss more than No”...it’s so easy to get caught in the rhythm of what we “need to get done” but real learning happens when we take in their feedback, questions, wants/needs and say YES #EduGladiators
Qs on my mind during #edugladiators chat... How often do we conflate feedback about the work with the person who did the work? As the feedback giver or receiver, when is that helpful versus counterproductive? Developmentally speaking, what's this like the younger the learner?
A4: I became a better teacher because of great feedback and reflection. When you center around getting better everyday you understand how important feedback is to your development. Stickers are cool but feedback about why I got or didn’t get the sticker is HUGE #edugladiators
A4: This chat reminds me how vital student feedback is for a positive classroom climate, building relationships, and knowing what to reteach. #EduGladiators
Our math Ts no longer put grades on the assessment, only feedback, then Ss self-assess. This helps changes the focus from grades to learning. It's had a huge impact in our school. #edugladiators
& then it makes it so real for them. They can see the process and learn how to encounter their own mistakes & failures. I agree, it's the best. It's great modeling of how we would like to see the encounter their own struggles. #edugladiators
A4: It makes me accountable to those who matter, to those I serve. I ask them to let me know how I am doing, so I may serve them better. If I am not walking my talk, I am failing. #edugladiators
A4: Students appreciate it when they feel that their feedback is not only heard, but also implemented. I disseminated feedback surveys each quarter and used their feedback to support my instructional practices. It lends itself to a positive climate. #EduGladiators

A3: Helping turn a negative reflection into a positive growth opportunity has a lot to do with listening to my students, reassuring them that their voices are being heard, celebrating smaller successes and exploring together how best to support next steps. #EduGladiators
What kind of culture permeates our classrooms? Is listening valued? R relationships valued? R thoughtful mistakes valued? Do we, as Ts modify our lessons based on student feedback? Modifying lessons show respect for S, and empowers their voice. #edugladiators
I love this! That sticker on an assignment where S's lost points, doesn't tell them why they lost points or what they need to do to get full credit. Feedback is paramount #EduGladiators

A4 #EduGladiators I've held end of MP reflection "camp fire" sessions in my blackboard corner. Ss lead and provide fdbk on "successes" and "opportunities" (oppurtunities=reframing of "problems." Lang. matters "opportunities are everywhere" @DonWettrick
A4: Every day, my students responses to learning opportunities tell me a great deal about my work and my role as their teacher...changes I make are constantly driven by their responses and suggestions. #EduGladiators
A4 Absolutely, the students give their input into the learning they love 💗 I gave them a survey for feedback last year, things they would like to more of and things they would like to change #edugladiators
A3) Mindset is huge. Many times young men and women need to build confidence and understand chunking their goals into smaller steps may be the key. Have them take a look at their accomplishments no matter how small, they are important. #EduGladiators
Thanks for leading a great chat @MissG_edu! I'm going to be mining answers to question #2 for reflection qs to share with my Ts. So much great material shared by #edugladiators this morning!
Feeback for @MissG_edu & #edugladiators: Excellent, generous sharing of ideas this morning. Now time to go reinforce meaningful ones that are already in practice while adding a new wrinkle or 2 based on what we learned or what we're curious to try.
Good morning #edugladiators sorry to miss the chat, was presenting early today on #ARVRinEDU and learning a lot of new ideas at a foreign language teacher conference, catching up now! Can't wait to be the moderator next week :) Have a great week! @EduGladiators
