A2 I recently used paper arrows and post-it notes to intro unplugged coding to some Kinder scholars. They rocked the unplugged coding and learned about sequences, bugs and worked on problem solving! #tosachat

A3: My trick is to make it sound as easy as possible. Ha! Which it is once you create a good environment for Ss to explore in. Getting newbies in the lab can be half the battle sometimes #TOSAchat

#tosachat A3 I like to turn the kiddos loose on Scratch (even the primary) and give them some tasks to figure out. The teachers watch and can't help the students so they have to figure it out on their own and teach the teacher.
A3 #TOSAchat Not all Ts have a #CS background & feel anxious about coding... so exploring vocab, best practices & getting hands on helps Ts (and Ss) see immediate possibilities. One idea: download #EveryoneCanCode & begin to play & learn!

Ozobots coming this week! I'll let you know how it works out. Need to do some creative scheduling with teachers so Ss can come to my office and participate. #tosachat
A3: Keep it simple and in small chunks. Make it too crazy and they don't want to do it. Also, good to show connections with the subject they teach, ie, how it fits with ELA, etc. #tosachat

For more advanced comp networkers and coders I would recommend a website with web resources(Tutorials, videos, etc.) in that specialization. Like @Lynda or @KhanAcademy, just to name a few #TOSAchat

Yes! It's a huge leap for so many educators. I had a semester of coding in 1983. That was a looong time ago but at least I have an understanding and I'm not intimidated by it. Not the case for so many. #tosachat
