A1Cross curricular connections are imt because it makes the learning relevant to Ss. One of the main questions I am asked is, “Where will I use this in real life?” By making connections to other disciplines and to their real lives, it makes the content relevant. #Prosper4ward
  • glenn_lacey Apr 12 @ 9:06 PM EDT
A1: Making cross curricular connections allows for different experiences, collaboration, and innovation at various levels. #prosper4ward
  • Mr_Nathan_Smith Apr 12 @ 9:06 PM EDT
A1: Ss need to see that learning isn't an isolated event to 1 academic area. When it is understood that learning is fluid among all content areas, critical thinking & higher order skills are evoked. It promotes greater levels of questioning & greater understanding. #Prosper4ward
  • KristinBuholtz Apr 12 @ 9:06 PM EDT
A1: Ss are able to gain a much deeper understanding of concepts & tie together connections of their understanding when they are given opportunities to experience the same concept(s) through different purposes, forms, and content areas #Prosper4ward
  • sullivan_2nd Apr 12 @ 9:06 PM EDT
A1: Cross curricular connections are KEY. Students have to be able to transfer their knowledge from subject to subject and situation to situation. Also when you combine subjects, you have more time to dig deeper! #Prosper4ward
  • ShawnaEaston03 Apr 12 @ 9:06 PM EDT
A1: It will help students make real-world connections and it will help solidify the information better. They will see how this isn't just used in math or science class, but all classes and in life! #prosper4ward
  • jetteachestech Apr 12 @ 9:06 PM EDT
Ss making those connections is so important to developing them as well rounded learners #Prosper4ward
    In reply to @Anticona_Math
  • edtechPhillips - Moderator Apr 12 @ 9:06 PM EDT
A1 Learning doesn't happen in a vacuum. Students need to realize learning happens in every subject area in and out of the classroom. #prosper4ward
  • psoneil Apr 12 @ 9:06 PM EDT
A1 Because multiple brains are better than one. The best professional learning I've been a part of for a long time was this year, and it involved administrators, librarians, and ITSs working toward common goals. #Prosper4ward
  • JanuaryRowe Apr 12 @ 9:06 PM EDT
A1: The WORLD is one big huge cross curricular connection! Everything we learn, everything we know, it’s all connected. Our brains were designed to love connections. This is a great article about brain research and connections: https://t.co/FKAilCQKlq #Prosper4ward

  • educatorcher Apr 12 @ 9:07 PM EDT
A1 I think that when we integrate curriculum students broaden their understanding of a concept which deepens learning, the learning is relevant and they make life long connections #Prosper4ward
  • AshleyMiAdams Apr 12 @ 9:07 PM EDT
A1: It is important for Ss to make cross curricular connections because it enables them to apply their knowledge and skills in one subject, ex: Language Arts and understand and perform tasks in another subject area such as Social Studies #Prosper4ward #EmpoweringThirdGraders

  • KristyS1985 Apr 12 @ 9:07 PM EDT
A1: Cross curricular connections is crucial and a game changer in our classrooms. Kids' learning is accelerated and allows real life to enter into the classroom. #prosper4ward

A3: Technology enables our students to have access to ANY and ALL cross curricular connections. No longer do the TEACHERS have to be the ones to provide the connection, but now the STUDENTS can be the ones to find connections! #win_win #Prosper4ward
