  • Mr_Schellenberg Dec 16 @ 7:43 PM EST
A2: Dr. Seuss is a go-to book because of the rhyming, the nonsensical nature of the story and the pictures. The protagonist is often clear and there is often a crossing from the mundane world to a world where anything is possible. #bookcamppd
    In reply to @mjjohnson1216
  • DrKMcGee Dec 16 @ 7:44 PM EST

  • Mr_Schellenberg Dec 16 @ 7:45 PM EST
A2: Coraline is a go-to because it has a great heroine, it is a darker take on Alice in Wonderland, it is a little scary, and it has a sense of humour. I also love his takes on various fairy tales such as The Sleeper and the Spindle. You never know what will happen. #bookcamppd
  • BridgetGengler Dec 16 @ 7:45 PM EST

Me too! I probably wouldn't have chosen Silas Marner, The Scarlett Letter, or BeoWulf. #JustSayin #bookcampPD

#bookcampPD A4 When my nephew was born I bought Frog and Toad books and wrote to him about my love of those characters. Now that he is in his 20's it's special to look back and see. Hope someday he can share with his own niece/nephew/child.
