Hi Adrian! Thank you for joining us tonight! You rock!!
You two rock for hosting tonight!
A1: PLCs have been enriched! Our IC facilitates discussions around Ss data that authentically guides & informs instruction.
A1: I reach out in writing to Ts inviting them to consider doing a 6 week coaching cycle w/me around goals of their choosing
A1: It is all about relationships, trust, & follow through. We made connections before doing anything else with our IC.
Having coaches part of the PLC process and helping to give feedback and be a tool for teachers.
My presence in PLCs helps me keep a pulse on areas where I can offer add'l coaching or other support
Could I sign up?? Seriously?? https://t.co/Q2B6egETTf

Absolutely! https://t.co/SNGHJiDHoM
A1: Relationship build on trust & seeing the strengths of the ts . Actually, the same is true w/students. human=human
Trust & positivity in any relationship is a win-win
We may be on to something! Let's talk
A2 A high level of trust is #1 in a coach/tchr relationship. When present, more effective discussion, & deeper reflection occurs
A2: It is critical to build and maintain a trust! Take the time to build relationships and focus on collective mission/vision.
And...that means I get to talk to you more! I am a bit selfish! https://t.co/I3aPhyreYM
We may be on to something! Let's talk
A2: Just like any relationship, it takes time and mindfulness to build trust and grow
It's what we always must come back to; when there are bumps in the road the relationship is there to support
A2: Always believe that your teachers can succeed. Respect the strengths and knowledge they bring. Celebrate growth. Positivity.
A2: Always believe that your teachers can succeed. Respect the strengths and knowledge they bring. Celebrate growth. Positivity.
This is so true! Relationships can't be rushed- trust needs to be build over time. Communication is key! https://t.co/3rksEsJeT8
A2: Just like any relationship, it takes time and mindfulness to build trust and grow
Yes! The more focus on positive and future success takes away the T's fear that the coach's role is evaluative
Definitely! We are working towards the same goal of positive student success! https://t.co/3bQijXMY9W

When coaches keep this at the forefront, the positive view of an I/C's role is seen across the staff https://t.co/7j5WhiwhWi
A2: Just like any relationship, it takes time and mindfulness to build trust and grow
A3:Reviewing & analyzing Ss data and working together to reflect on next step instruction, while identifying individual Ss needs.
A3 Modeling lessons for teacher followed by debrief/reflection; finding research and/or materials to support instruction for Ts
A3: Our IC offered "right now" PD- relevant to that T's needs at that moment in time, & collab on building EdCamps!
We are slowing jumping into the EdCamp format! Teachers absolutely loved the teacher drive PD! https://t.co/h00F7HlBfp
A3: Our IC offered "right now" PD- relevant to that T's needs at that moment in time, & collab on building EdCamps!
I like this a lot - especially when Ts can take new learning right into their classroom for immediate feedback
Love the format I went to one in Brooklyn last year and it is amazing! You go! https://t.co/ESCXFDVTVw

A4: Focused collaboration during PLCs. Keep a laser like focus on identifying individual needs & planning differentiated lessons
A4Quality instruction is critical to student success. Grade level PLCs are a place to share instructional successes and struggles
A4: We used CASA forms to help with this process (Collaboration Around Student Achievement) - very powerful!
Are you using Google Docs to streamline shared communication around student needs?
These forms help us to stay focused on the goal! introduced these to us! https://t.co/vtjPWrJ4Fl
A4: We used CASA forms to help with this process (Collaboration Around Student Achievement) - very powerful!

Yes - Each grade level shares a Google Doc w/me so that I stay on top of all the PLCing!
A4: Allow them to take part in the development of it and then being decisions back to the purpose. Owned is better for all

A5 Coaching cycles allow Ts and Cs to work closely together to plan & implement instructional practices that deliver success
A5: Coaching cycles = The opportunity for T & I/C to intentionally plan, practice, & reflect on practices that create success.
A5: Model Lessons where the T and IC co-taught were very powerful. Must provide reflection time at the end. Ss benefited greatly
Co-Teaching is my favorite approach in my role here
Due to district needs, we lost our IC this year; she is doing a TOSA role... miss at & my Co
That is so sad... What is the TOSA role now? https://t.co/aiAU21Zf7x

A6: The IC & I met weekly. Grade level teams met based on need but communicated daily. We also use a comm tool &
Our weeks can get heavy with meetings but I've found the more we discuss students the better we meet their needs.

Our weeks can get heavy with meetings but I've found the more we discuss students the better we meet their needs.
Keeping meetings laser focused on student needs & keeping eyes open to what students CAN do!
A6) I find that google docs & feedback sheets lack the face2face conversational connection. Still important to talk!
A6: Keep the focus on S work- meetings will be targeted to the real needs in individual classrooms!
I agree-Balance is key with using technology. It's helpful to ensure important data is not lost (or buried on my desk!)
Yes! We need to be intentional about Face to Face communication. It is critical! https://t.co/ReoHUw1iNg

A8: I am going to do what said! :)
Q8) I think listening is important. Planning and examining needs. Also support for what is asked for.
A8: Break down any barriers - time, schedule, etc. Listen to specific needs and follow through w/ Ts & IC
