Sports are a great way to get moving! I enjoyed them as a kid. I like dance fitness and cardio kickboxing classes. Great way to relieve stress. #urbanedchat
Absolutely! I love it for that reason too. I always leave a class feeling better than when I came in. Don't forget to use #Urbanedchat so we can all see your responses.
Great example! I do this with my elementary and middle school students and I think it changes the whole mood. I also do this with relaxing music when I want a calming tone in my classroom. #urbanedchat
A3 Dance breaks work great during independent practice...I let Ss and Ts bring a phone with their playlist and we try to jam out for a few minutes #UrbanEdChat
Awesome idea! I would play music and let students dance their way to line up. It cut down on touching and pushing in line because their bodies were occupied doing something else. #urbanEdchat
Here's one example of how to engage secondary learners in physical during a math lesson. Can have them posted around the room & do this as a warm up based on the concept Ss are practicing. #Urbanedchat
Music is such a motivator! I played it every day when I was at the elementary level and kids loved it. It was how I started and stopped activities. It works the same way for middle schoolers too. #Urbanedchat
Twitter was slow tonight and we were having some connection challenges on tonight's #UrbanEdChat. We're going to do the second half of this chat in January. Still so many awesome resources to share! Thanks @JV_lack@IanMooreSr for joining us!
