Morning! Anne in CO, teaching HS Englishm/Journalism, here.
-
-
Positive notes home and phone calls go a long way to keep parents actively involved in their students growth
-
-
Good morning MT friends. Steve from nj checking in
-
I email, write in planners, call or meet parents in the lobby to touch base. I ask them which way works best and go from there

Hi Anne & . In CO at the moment, we don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows. Winter's returning.
-
I've mentioned this at before, but 1 of my biggest successes this year is sending a weekly email home to parents.
-
Great question today. I send messages to students through and copy goes to parents - also
-
-
yeah I'm over winter! And wind....

As MS Eng teacher, main *ongoing* convos happen through online grade-book info + feedback on student work + news on class page 1/2
-
-
works great as way to remind students and keep parents in loop all in one message
-
-
I am unfamiliar w/; will check it out. My kids love , but only have a few parents on it.
-
it's always fun watching trucks blow over on the way to work!
-
-
When it comes to email, I've changed my communication habit, defaulting to send messages to my MS s's, with parents cc'd. 2/2
-
I will look into that! Especially for my sixth graders who love email!
-
Ditto--need to check out !
-
-
I've started cc'ing parents also. Sometimes other important adults who can support, too. It takes a village!
-
Definitely a memory from my last trip to WY: trucks toppled over on the side of the road.

-
Agreed. At the same time, I fear for the wellness of the village's inbox.
