Scientist—trying to invent new ways to present material to students, “June Cleaver” mask when being a mom/grandma to a student or students’ parent#tnedchat
A1: I wear the costume of always peppy cheerleader. We are trying to encourage our teachers and students to be innovative, and positivity matters when working with them. #tnedchat
A1 I wear so many masks/costumes to reach my littles. #sel coach. #hearder and #counter 😆#dancer#storyteller. Oh ya and teacher of the things. Gotta meet the needs so that they can be free to learn. #TnEdChat
A2 So I use to literally RACE my students in typing skills. They would try to type a line before I ran all the way around the room and back to the board to erase it. It was insane and shouldn't have worked but they loved it #tnedchat
A2 You stumped me with that one! 🤣 still feels like a lot of tricks. They do amaze me when they have the big ahas! Even if it is in the middle of my sentence. 😬 #TnEdChat
A2: When I started grasping the concept of PBL, I was nervous. It was so different from what the kids were used to, and what I was familiar with--worksheets and lessons from Pearson. I was scared the whole way. I was so proud of their end results. #tnedchat
A2 part 2: Tricking them into coming to class on time by saying I would dance for them (any dance they want.. that's appro) each time the whole class was on time. Turned out pretty fun! Videos in my twitter history, FYI #noshamenogain#tnedchat#igotmoves
A3: I would love the ghost of Walt Disney. If I can't have that, I would love to bring in Antman, and have them try to figure out how he shrinks and grows. Ha! #tnedchat
Q3 I’ll take the super hero who can captivate kiddos and read/tell a story. Maybe Batman? Human. Intelligent. Just. Intriguing. Not TOO scary. 🤷🏻♀️ #TnEdChat
hmmmm....I've seen a lot of good teachers use tech to bring blood & life back into classroom, not all vampires suck the life out, some use learning opportunities to regenerate #tnedchat
A4: life savers, a different flavor for different occasions & can be pulled out of thin air at the last minute to save the lessons based on the Ss need #tnedchat
A4: That Japanese PoppinCookin candy - you have to put in a little work, but you have fun the entire time and end up creating something amazing in the end #tnedchat
A4: I would go with Skittles. Taste the rainbow. Lots of different colors and flavors going on in the approaches to human-centered design. All good and beautiful. Just like a rainbow. #tnedchat
A5: stagnate mindsets that aren't open to growth and learning...in order to prepare Ss for their world, we need to step out of the way we've always done it #tnedchat
A5 scariest thing about education seems to be trying to balance getting scores up and building up good, tax paying citizens. Hope we aren’t missing the goal. #tnedchat
A5b I was talking to a T today that went to NACOL for the first time. She said "we are so far behind on what's possible"...I fear others never realizing this #tnedchat
A5: That so many kids hate school. This manifests itself in many ways but the bottom line is that learning can be fun, engaging, and powerful. We need to help kids see and experience the beauty of learning. #tnedchat

A5: One of the scariest thing about education is when educators don't share and post what's happening in their learning spaces so that the media and general public can keep telling or believing whatever education story they want. #tnedchat

A6 I would dress up as Captain CANVAS and go into all the upper school classrooms and help teachers with their @canvasLMS integration! And I would know EVERY answer! Being accessible, smart, accepted. #tnedchat
A6: Marty McFly & I'd use the Back to the Future time machine to adjust the learning process to grow all Ss on their level to meet individual needs & build opportunities #tnedchat
A6: I AM dressing up as #kimmyschmidt tom, but promised the Ss if they all got prof or mastery on their next learning target I'd dress/act as Edna from Incredibles for a whole day - they swear that's me #whatevermakesthemlearn#tnedchat
A5: So many scary things in ed now; funding cuts, privatization, violence, lowering standards for new teachers, stagnant wages, expensive insurance, & defunding retirement systems. 😱#tnedchat
