Good morning #BFC530 tired but happy Red Sox fan checking in at the start of a new school week. Events from last week still weighing heavily on my mind.
Good morning and happy Monday #bfc530 friends! For those who asked what I was going to be for our school's character dress-up day on Friday - I was Eragon by @paolini - my goal is to introduce Ss to a great book, they may not have read yet.
I hope my kiddos know how much I love them. Unconditionally. We all have off days but regardless of what they do or say, I will always be in their corner #bfc530
What I hear a lot at the end of the year and what I get a lot in thank you notes is that I have passion for my content. This is something that can often be appreciated on the horizon but not always be understood in the day-to-day (as in, “Jeez that lady is WAY perky!”) #BFC530
That I believe in them. #bfc530 I think part of our role as educators is to peer deeply into our Ss for the greatness and help them not only acknowledge it based on the evidence we see, but to actualize it based upon the will we help cultivate. #engagechat#waledchat

How good was that. I don’t really follow Baseball but given my Boston connection and a relative that supports the Yankees, I was happy to see them beat the LA Dodgers. #bfc530 😀
I want students to know that I know them and care about them and I want to hear what they have to say. I don’t necessarily need them to say this to anyone. #BFC530
I want my Ss to know that they bring me great joy, that they have a special piece of my heart and that won't change when they move on next year. But mostly that I believe in them- that I see amazing, incredible talent and I won't settle for less than their best #bfc530

So pretty much all of the responses I see in #BFC530 are about relationships with students and passion for our subject. Nobody wants students to say “those worksheets and quizzes rocked my world.” 😂
As I think about the devastation in Pittsburg, I just want to work even harder to spread LOVE! I am reminded of that, as we answer our posted question this morning. ❤️❤️❤️ #bfc530
I also hope that as they navigate through their personal finances they feel that I taught them practical knowledge. Like how to maintain a good credit score. I know boring! But practical;)

#bfc530 U can quote and ask all the questions u want but when educators are pushing kids to go march in the streets and become violent even giving extra credit for it might as well shut schools down and pay parents of kids to stay home and educate them at home. EDUCATION DYING
240 schools in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh to get virtual classrooms. Govt has sanctioned ₹4.5 lakh per school to purchase computers, video cameras. An expert teacher will conduct lessons, which will be telecast to all students from district headquarters.

Legacy matters. I want students to think or say that I respected/cared about them, welcomed/wanted them in school or in my class, had high expectations for learning/behavior, prepared lessons/facilitated their learning, did something to give them hope for a bright future. #BFC530
