A1 My "go to" technology tool is my phone. Email, Instagram, Twitter, Voxer and all sorts of options for sharing the great things our students and staff do everyday! #AWSAconnect
A1 - I use Twitter for PD, OneNote for tracking Parent and meeting notes. Most important to me is Tech for information - F2F for communication. #AWSAconnect
A1) I agree with @posickj. My phone connects me with Twitter, Voxer, Facebook, Instagram, @Flipgrid, video, Skype, Google docs, text messages, email...most of what I need! #AWSAconnect
A2 - I use our LMS-Canvas as a "Class" for my staff to send my weekly msg, distribute PD, links, help videos, etc. and include tech tips and SPED tips each week. #AWSAconnect
#AWSAconnect A2: Try to encourage and challenge. I use the hashtag #RiverdaleRising with them, to help showcase what they are doing, and celebrate the kids. They are slowly coming along. Do have some that are staunchly against, however.
A2 I think sometimes I model too much. Sometimes it's best to put down the phone. But I think I do a pretty good job of showing staff the variety of ways technology benefits learning. #AWSAconnect
Q3 - Many have already mentioned - model in meetings, show how it can save time, be more efficient or do things you can't w/o it. Always keep learning and 1 step ahead -#AWSAconnect
a3. We had a #twitterparty yesterday after school. Shoutout to @Jennifer_Hogan for the fun idea.
Her slogan is what I strive for...Where P/D is a party! That's what technology can help with.
#AWSAconnect
A3: In January when we come back, I will put up a 20 day Twitter challenge. But as far as in the classroom, our staff is FANTASTIC! They are constantly finding new website, apps or resources to enhance what they do in the classroom. #RiverdaleRising#AWSAconnect
A3- Be sure to challenge your tech leaders to help you coax and support those tech-challenged staff. Important - check tech skills w/ performance tasks @ interview when hiring. #AWSAconnect
I appreciate all of you, near and far, who joined in on #AWSAconnect tonight! We'll be back on Thursday, 12.21.17 for the last chat of the calendar year. Hope to see you there!
