The versatility of Flippity amazed me, I can’t wait to show that to Ts on my campuses. Also PDF Candy is a fantastic tool for Ts and Ss who don’t have access to Acrobat Pro or something similar. I learned about both in a @lesliefisher session #txeduchat#TCEA

Love this app! I used it in graduate school - I’ve used it to introduce a unit (teacher tool) and I had my students present Biography reports using the tool! Such a great resource! #txeduchat

So much fun using @Flipgrid! It’s great with Ss but even more fun with your staff! Send out a weekly question before a staff mtg and have everyone respond to start conversation! Great tool for literature reviews too! #txeduchat

Honestly, the data piece...we are funded in large part by a grant for the next four years and need massive amounts of data to support programs we choose. #txeduchat

A2 #txeduchat#TCEA I learned even more useful ideas for using @padlet . One of the sessions suggested using @padlet at the beginning of class to check in with students. "What problem(s) did you have trouble with on your homework?
I’m a RISD teacher - yes this is a great resource for parents as we’ve rolled out 1:1 in our JH & HS. When going 1:1 support for all stakeholders is needed. Bringing ideas back to your district for student, teacher, and parent support is always a great disc! #txeduchat
A2 "Get Hooked On Hyperdocs" with @amysoupy She filled for a presenter and showed the power of hyperdocs...Great for using at any level...Now Im reading up on them using this book #txeduchat#TCEA
A2: Attended a session on how to be a better coach by @sregur that taught me how to find new ways to work with teachers and how to stay out of the “drama triangle”. Super helpful! #txeduchat

Love me some Padlet! Used it this wk to have Ss posts drafts for their alliteration projects (simple short poems)! Also have used it several times for ongoing discussions during professional developments! No one wants to just sit and listen! @padlet keeps disc going! #txeduchat
For homework, you may need to mentor student conversation. Also make sure students are logged into google when they post. If a link is shared, posts may be anonymous. #txeduchat

I had the pleasure of picking the brain of @Tommyspall before a session and got some great ideas from what the Brenham team is doing. The connections you can make at a place like #TCEA is so valuable! #txeduchat
A3: use what you have! @neprisapp is an amazing tool to connect students to industry professionals. Take advantage and get Ts and Ss comfortable with video chats! #txeduchat
Also don’t be scared to try something new and fail!!!! A lot of the times, Ts will plan something cool.. and at the first sign of “smoke” give up and never try again!! #txeduchat

A4 I met a person 3 months into her digital learning position. She is from a small district north of San Antonio...first time to attend TCEA. Lots of discussion about the position, the @Flipgrid session we were in, and how to grow in our jobs. Greatness #txeduchat
I got to make some deeper connections with some of my own @AISDITD colleagues, mostly during bus and car rides. Oh, and first trips to Buc-ee's. (I don't get out much) #txeduchat

Has anyone read the most recent Byte Brights Survey for TX Edu?! Data says it all. Ts want more support. Ss don’t think their Ts know what they are doing w/ tech. I want to help but still trying to figure out the best way to propose this idea to distinct & state. #txeduchat
