-
Q2b:What is one of your most effective classroom rules?
-

always collab with you guys, but I like a challenge too
-
We will respect the person who is speaking.
Person.
Not "teacher."
-
I didn't know you played guitar, cool
-
-
-
-
A2b: Make smart choices! Whole Brain Teaching rule that works with HS Ss too. I would call them out all the time
-
A2b:Treat everyone how you want to be treated, which is with dignity and respect. No putdowns
-
Yes! Respect Everyone is also one of my favorites
-
-
A2: playing music always relaxes me
-
A2: walks, family time, and in solo times get my crochet hooks out and make a beanie.
Oh volleyball too.

A2b: Don't talk while I am talking. I stop speaking everytime they interupt me. They get the point eventually.
-
He's so fluffy I'm gonna die!!
-
-
That is huge and I always make sure I model it well.
-
A2b: most important rule in my classes: This is a safe zone, have no fear
-
I never thought of listening to comedy on Pandora, great suggestion
-
I'm totally a red person.
-
2b: I don't have rules - just respect and abide by the rules that have existed since 1st grade
-
-
Mine was Rugby, thank god I still coach it
-
.
You are my favorite kind of weird.
-
Oh yeah! I usually listen to comedy on my drive home. Great way to laugh off the day. Bummer when it repeats
-
Q3:What is something you can't live without in the classroom?
-
-
-
A2: also, listening to Vin Scully always makes me feel at home and relaxed, I'm going to miss him!
-
Yes running is definitely on my lists too
-
A3:
Musical cues. Keeps the mood up, cuts down transition time, and it's just fun.
https://t.co/gPkKC7s9XM
Even on demo days.
-
Damn, Tommy. You look good!!
-
A3: I can't live without my Google Apps for Education, it's such an addiction
-
a3: I can't live without humor
-
I really need to learn this technique. Not good at it.
-
A3: Sense of Community. It’s not a material thing but its the most important. Without it, learning and teaching are difficult
-
I do Rock and Roll fridays, they listen to their fav music as they answer the warm up they love it
-
A3 LAUGHTER. Brain studies say kids remember more when they laugh about it, even if it's fake laughter.
-
A3: I could live without any one thing in the classroom. I always wished my class was mobile and we could learn anywhere.
-
A3: At the office, I can’t live without walks with co-workers. Simultaneous mental break & chance to regroup, strategize, discuss.
-
A3) Obvious answer is tech. With 1:1 next year, Haiku or Google Classroom
-
A3: pencils, loaner chromebooks/charging station, google
-
A3: can't live w/o tab scissors/glue, snagit, keepawake, grammarly, and LastPass

A3: In the summer, I need that AC to work all the time! I also really need my Ss. Hard to do my job w/out them. LOL
-
Yes! As a math teacher, I have a duty to tell lame math jokes https://t.co/qv9zk4qNyF
-
-
a3: I can't live without humor
-
I never knew I was funny until the kids mentioned about the suttle jokes I made in the lessons
-
I like that you only do it Friday. Makes it more special and not just noise.
-
A3: white boards, or at least sheet protectors that wipe off like dry erase boards.
-
I am with you Tom. I run while listening to podcasts. I also read to help myself relax.
-
a3: I need noise. I hate doing work in silence. It bothers me during testing, but it is what it is
-
And if they misbehave in the week I take it away
-
-
Laughter is where I shine. I'm funny as hell and the kids dig it. I laugh the most at myself.
-
A3: student voice, student choice
-
Q3b:In your opinion what is the best app in education?
-
-
tab scissors/glue has changed mine and my students' lives
-
I can't escape the classroom enough.
-
A3b: hands down. You can teach pretty much any subject with it
-
I think my lame jokes are pretty funny too, I vote humor
-
Loaner chrome books became an excuse for my Ss to come unprepared so I ditched them. That and four were stolen
-
Tough one, there are several I have in mind like Screencastify, Google Docs, Speak it just to name a few
-
What’s funny is that the kids don’t think it’s funny until they graduate then they appreciate it
-
-
A3: I'd have to go with Google Classroom, especially if you're an English teacher.
-
