Bob Simard, OLine, Sutter HS, CA - JUST GOT OUT OF PRACTICE - I'm Late

A2: BST & BSG both hinge to different depths or we will at times fold backwards BST blocks down & BSG folds away from rollout
-

Q2: What technique do you use to teach backside protection for roll out passes?
-
A1: In Cali we've it's been a slippery slope and we've stayed ahead of the curve by focusing on thud tempo

A2: backslide our base is kickslide - adjust depth to defense. Playside we're sliding until engaged
-
Q3: When do you start breaking down each opponent?
-
A3 as soon as I get my hand on film
-
A3: No coaches change in off season will do some preliminary breaking down over summer leisure time just to get a hunch & notes.
-
-
Q3: When do you start breaking down each opponent?

Junkie LOL Me too though can do a lot of good stuff with roster & film during summer if no HFC change
-
Q4: How do you involve your running back in the passing game?
-
A4: 1 is always going to be a blocker - usually FB. TB will run routes or we will personnel change to get TB out & another WR in
-
-
Q4: How do you involve your running back in the passing game?
-
A3: just a new staff this spring and have my first DC so I've been breaking down A LOT of film this spring.
-
A4: TB takes the pitch in Triple Option, so because we are a Veer Program can't we consider that a Pass Route ? LOL 😂
-
-
Q4: How do you involve your running back in the passing game?
-
A3: For first game - I start as soon as the schedule comes out. During the season. as soon as I'm done grading my OLine
-
A4 We love the Dan Gonzalez "Gone" protections and R Tags. Gets the RB out the front and back w/o brand new rules.
-
Q5: How do you use trips to stress the defense?
-
Yes, also will use 2 Tight Empty and Trey Formation to put major stress on the Defense
-
-
Q5: How do you use trips to stress the defense?
-
A4: TEACH HIM HOW TO BLOCK a blitzer! But U probably mean touches 😀. For that when flats defender occupied - arrow or flare rt
-
-
A5: LOL to throw, cuz most HS run trips to make your D spread out to run the ball, vs us (Veer) the stay packed in so we throw
-
-
Q5: How do you use trips to stress the defense?
-
11 personnel 3x1 or 2x2 is the biggest headache for DC's. Especially when not substituting in a TE.
