A1 We only have 12 days left until Kindergarten Graduation and we are counting down by popping balloons with hidden names inside each day. Everyone writes about the person whose name is inside! It's a great way to reflect on friendships made this the year! #Dojochat
#A2 Every year we our memory book out of work from our portfolios, favorite writing, and art from the year. We spend time reflecting on our growth and setting new goals! #dojochat
A2 Pictures! I am currently making a google drive folder for each of them and including all of their pictures in it to share with their parents! The kids love remembering all the fun activities and lessons we did! #dojochat
A2: #dojochat
We will be making meomory books over the next few days! I love to have them look and see how much they've grown physically and academically!
I hope I'm doing this right! First ever chat! #dojochat A2: I am having my Ss create hand print portraits. They trace their hand on paper and fill it with colors/symbols/designs that define them THEN in the background they will write about this SY.
A1: We are doing all the "extra" stuff that we might not have had time to do earlier on in the school year. We're reading chapter books together and doing more PBL activities than earlier in the year.#dojochat
A2: Students create portfolios in the classroom - it's a great way to showcase progress and growth, especially for my SPED kiddos. We also have an end-of-the-year wrap up - they get to reflect on things they've learned, where they've seen their own growth, etc. #dojochat
#dojochat A3 The night of our 4th grade choir concert the students were singing songs about penguins stealing snow (something like that), and as we left, it was SNOWING. Big deal for #SanAntonio. It was a beautiful sight and we played in it the next day. 😊
A3: I've done more PD this year than any other year. I've attended conferences, presented at our district's tech symposium, joined a teacher leader program, and am a newly minted board member for our local CUE affiliate group. All of it has helped me grow as a T. #dojochat
#dojochat A3: I was able to present my class' use of Student Stories to our Board of Education. We had an incredible response. I loved the way families engaged in an authentic way!!!!!!
A4: I start prepping stuff/copies I will need for the fall in June. I connect with parents online - many of whom will continue with me next year. I clean and organize now, so I'm not spending time doing that when I return in August. #dojochat
That's awesome! What did you present on? I am working on my proposal for this coming year's CUE conferences as we #dojochat! Really looking forward to that. :)
A5 My former school celebrates all of our goof ups with paper plate awards then a teacher train crawl on the last day! Best thing to look forward to! T minus 3 weeks, I can't wait to join in the fun. #dojochat
A5 our school always did an end of the year party, celebrated anyone leaving us or big changes (like pregnancies). My last year I was gifted with a necklace which I wear nearly everyday 3 years later #dojochat
A5: We are going to additional NGSS PD - gettin' our science on. We are also getting AVID certified. Our school has a 6th grade vs. staff softball game...which is just a tanning session for those of us who aren't as "active" as others. Lol. #dojochat
