A1: Currently working to ask more questions - so important to be willing to ask in the midst of transition.
Sometimes I wrongly assume that once it's been out there a whole year everyone knows about it. Time for a contact
I'll keep a close eye on the data but I teach too many classes to do it one to one weekly
love the opportunity to reflect on the upcoming year
But a doctorate doesn't move you up the pay scale in our Diocese! Still paying for masters!
Good morning Jan. Glad to see Loyola keep public school football in it's place last week. Great game.
I do the same thing! I irritate colleagues by assuming they're at the same point I am!
Mary, share some of your chalkboard wisdoms with !
Reflection is so important for improving.
Let's move on to your 2nd goal!
So much Admin can do to make those goal sheets living documents & involve them in evaluation process
I'm starting to use it a lot more this year! It'll take my Ss a few assignments to get used to it too!
Q2 What is your 2nd goal for the upcoming school year?
Principal mailed the new teachers out an optional reflection form- encouraged us to use it as Examen-
Agree, Mary! Do teachers share goals with each other? with school leaders?

I'm going to try and be more reflective all year
Grateful to know there is someone in the same boat! I feel like I am always taking notes!
A2 Work on my re-certification as a Google educator. Students can do so much with Google Apps!
- it is a stretch for me. I'm a real paper & pencil person. Digital is the way to go and I'm moving forward everyday
I totally agree- trial and error is the name of the game, but I find it frustrating when materials r limited
I try to start with "have your heard of ...." Let them tell me what they know first. Let them set the baseline
A2: My 2nd goal is to make it a priority to share good news with a few Ss & Ps per week in a meaningful way.
A2: More student use of technology. I went 1:1 last year and did OK. I want to do more as we expand our programs.
A2. Minimize transition time. Even w/ Do-Nows, its been hard review hw, prayer/do-now in 5 minutes. .of a 38 min period.

Love this goal! This is my PLC's focus, growth mindset.
A2 Apple Distinguished Educator when they open up applications again.
32? Wow...never head of that many in a classroom before...
Share your wisdom once you master it! I struggle here as well!
Lunch/after school - brainstorm together. Another teacher's input can help you clarify goals for you and your class
I attempted last year but I was overwhelmed with so many other things. This year will be better!
Never thought of teachers sharing their goals. Interesting thought.
haha I'm a rookie teacher. im hoping one of the vets here has some guidance :)

Use it for one small thing, each week, build from there!
A2: Integrate strong STREAM programs into more of our

ππ»ππ» I wanted to do this!! Sadly with 34 kids in a class, the room doesn't allow for much flex! https://t.co/R4tSEPmkEl
A2: to utilize more flexible seating. Need to set more rules/expectations for students to use the options. It'll get there!
Collaborative learning works really well
One year I went from 32 to 25- it felt like a vacation, esp. grading essays!
A1: collaborate on curriculum revision of course I teach A2: sustain healthier work/life balance
That's the biggest piece for Ts. Can't do everything at once. Need to pick a few that help Ss & you.

This gave me such a good laugh when I saw it last night.
BB1 Pumpkin Spice Lattesπ
I don't think my room *has* a front anymore!
I'm not sure! I found it on the internet! ;-)
We are accredited by NCA, so I establish 2 school goals for my Ts and they come up with the 3rd one.
A2: walk to work at least 125 days
Just realized I used her website so much last year for my Religion class. SUCH a great resource.
I'm thinking my key will be actually sticking w/ the timer's set amt. so easy to extend it. Thx!

We did that and found it more helpful than staring at all of those report sheets.
oh no! Hope that doesn't last long!
that's what we did! Really helped to just start small.
Our first step was to have a teacher with training in this area present to the rest of Ts.

A3: Work closely with our schools on better Math instruction
A4. Its easy and important to look day-to-day, but can frame the year into a bigger picture...

A3 pt2: possibly have to incorporate global ed project(s) in curriculum
A4: it provides focus and a drive for the year. Puts you on a path that needs to be followed, but also welcome changes!
I believe in both of you, Kay and Nancy and the rest of you here today.

A4: something rooted in valid professional feedback and interest to grow and learn. Goals help you focus and achieve!
Do it the day before parents come in They'll rave about it & then you won't have to ask for forgiveness
I thought Level 1 was harder than Level 2!
Interesting. I think unobtained goals are a fact of life. We always strive to be better, but don't always make it.
One of these days, I will probably need to... the envelope is begging to be pushed!
Took most of Level I as part of an undergrad class-im thinking that certainly made life ezier.
Well, 10 more minutes of an amazing chat. Here comes on 2nd Brain Break. Respond with BB2
