Q1: How often do you discuss current events in your school? If you don’t discuss current events, why do you think that is?

I was pretty fortunate to have where we had an entire class dedicated to current events

A1: in college it depends on the class. But in high school we discussed current events in a daily basis

Q2: Does your school provide you with opportunities to become more involved with your community?

Q3: How can students get involved outside of their schools and in the community?

our beta club & student council usually provide a few opportunities for community service each year!

Q4: With the upcoming election, how can we better educate students to understand its importance?

as a part of the I was able to have 3 different internships during school

if your school doesn't provide opportunities, take strides to make them. Business want interns & communities need you

students really need to know that they can stay informed and remain engaged in this election.

I encourage students to seek out internships and work with school admins to find internships for credit

Q5: How can your school help students better engage with the community?

Students in Ontario, Canada are required to complete 40 hours of community service as a HS graduation requirement
