A3: I did with some fifth graders this year a lesson on acceleration and the physics behind water slide designs. They really enjoyed the activity. We watched videos. Read an article. And drafted different designs #scitlap#read5305

A6 I have a mixed school/summer relationship. I feel during the summer my primary goal is to spend time with my husband, but I do check my email throughout the week. I plan here and there. I go back a little earlier to begin getting ready.
A6: I usually have no escape. Either going in or planning from home. This summer I’m basically working it all. Curriculum writing and PD presentations #scitlap#teacherlife#read5305
It's always happening our brains someway. You can take the teacher out of the school, but you can't get the school out of the teacher. It's good, I think as long as there is balance. #scitlap
A4 #scitlap We vacation in an area with a landscape developed during the last glacial period & whenever we hike I point out the transgression-regression series in the rocks of the gorges....
A6) I'm a hybrid of the first 2. My turtle stays at school so I go every 2 weeks to check on filter/food situation. I carried my #EDUProtocols book to the beach with me last week. I spend time on blogs/podcasts/books. #scitlap

I have never heard of this. Thanks for sharing!
I have recently read articles discussing the benefit of gaming. Some people assume gaming has no benefit, but they can when purposefully implemented.
A8: I tried this recipe- not really summer, but a game changer in my house! We used fruit pie fillinghttp://www.yammiesnoshery.com/2016/10/racine-pecan-kringle.html #scitlap
