Of all the things!?! I’m Dave. Flipping for 5 years. I’m a science teacher. I like buying stuff, but don’t like shopping. So I guess online is better for me! #flipclass
For me one of my big wins, is better data management. Getting clear, quick, and targeted data has made my group space instructional decisions much more focused. #flipclasschat#flipclass

always growing pains, but the infinite practice, worked out answers, mastery format, etc of #deltamath make that part of the math curriculum seamless. #flipclass#flipclasschat

I've looked at #DeltaMath a little and really liked what I saw, but I need to dig deeper before I would be ready to use it in class #FlipClass#FlipClassChat

That Q was pretty general but I'll say this: #flipclass is work to set up, yes, for sure, but it is SO worth it for the relationships you build with your Ss and the deeper learning you can get to happen. #flipclasschat
A2: the big surprise to me is that the planning I did ACTUALLY worked out well. @JJBackeberg I also transitioned to organizing all of my classes at all levels using a Google Slides slide deck..learned this week that the fancy name is a metadoc, who knew #flipclass#flipclasschat
A2: I will just say yes. The initial setting up with #FlipClass took a ton of planning and work and then from there you just hope that it all works out and adjust when it doesn't #FlipClassChat
A3 #flipclasschat It has made me become such a better teacher. No longer am I a math teacher, but I am a teacher that loves math. (Make sense?) Teaching is far more than the curriculum, and #flipclass allowed me to make that connection. #everykideveryday
A3: I am sneaking ahead, but while the goal of #flipclass is to benefit Ss/learning, It has given me the chance to do amazing PD with @khogendorp and @gm8585 and it will be year 3 for IlFabCon in June by Illinois Flipped and Blended in Huntley in June #flipclasschat
A3 I think #flipclass encourages me to 1. know more concisely what I'm trying to teach Ss about a given topic (to shorten the vids) and 2. be more creative in how I teach/do in-class activities, because of the common "what do you do in class now?" Q. #flipclasschat
A3 Also, I have finally gotten the courage/opportunity to do #ILfabCon PD conference here locally in central Illinois. we are announcing this week. this is a dream I have had for a few years and is a BIG personal growth for me. #flipclass#flipclasschat
Yes, and along with this, getting into the #flipclass / #flipclasschat community, certification courses, etc. taught me those other formats even existed in the first place -- I have yet to try some of them, but I've tried some, and looking forward to growing into others.
Having our #flipclass "society" & hearing how it's helped others do great things in their classes helps give me the confidence to flip when others aren't. I'm not crazy for trying it, because other educators around the world are doing it and having success with it. #flipclasschat
