A7: I think it's also important to note that the signing that we often see in classrooms (the occasional "yes" "sit" "cookie" paired w/ English) is not a form of language, it's helpful for many but not the same as ASL and not described as "using sign language" #PatinsIcam
Q10: How can students who are deaf or hard of hearing have more opportunities to socialize with one another? How can professionals help foster this socialization? #PatinsIcam
A9: DHH is often the forgotten/unseen “disability” - captioning, quality auditory and visual access is necessary.
