The biggest characteristic of real #TeacherLeadership (IMO) is taking what you know works for your students/classroom/school and sharing it broadly to make a true impact on other students/classrooms/schools. #BFC530
#Leadership comes down to influence. If you are not influencing your colleagues and students, you most likely are not leading. As John Maxwell says “If you think you are leading and nobody is following, then maybe your just taking a walk!” #bfc530

Teacher leadership can be as simple as a T being open to new ideas and being an example for colleagues, could be sharing PD with school, or going beyond one's own school to share with others. #bfc530
Educators lead every day! They inspire others to grow and stretch themselves, they model the kind of energy they wish to attract, they are supportive, encouraging and inclusive, transparent and visible! #BFC530

Educaré is Latin and means to Lead out of. From this comes the word Educator and Education. Teach comes from the Old English tǣċan which means to show and point out. Conclusion: A teacher strictly speaking shows and points things out, an Educator leads learning #bfc530
