persistence and sheer awesomeness
A2-If it’s not on a clear benefit or improvement, forget it. Vague doesn’t cut it.
Jumping in late I'm running PD Jackie checking in!
TIME is precious resource! Can't expect Tchs to try new ideas, for Ps to approve proposals without it!

Also I'm sure you have anticipated the early issues that will surface. Change is hard!

Thanks! It has worked very well so far!
A3. I would like my principal to give PD time in school to explore with social media for edu purposes, like twitting.
A3-How do I get PD Days approved if I’m presenting, and not receiving the PD?
Yes, once you have a "track" record, you can run all day long!

Also connect how IPPD training has shown up in your practice also- the concrete benefits (2)
A simple pro-con chart should do the trick. Also small pilots that grow are appealing and less scary
A3: Presenting IS recieving PD! You get feedback/perspective from audience as well as attend other sessions
Ps listen to Ps...find Ps who've participated to commit to be ambassadors and cheerleaders!
We have done a lot of small pilots! Hoping to start expanding more
A3: I present at conferences as a way to gain access. I always learn far more than I share
The before and after pix were great. Houston TX gave away free paint for this purpose
A3: I present at conferences as a way to gain access/opportunity. I always learn far more than I share
A4-How many PD’s is too many? What are 's guidelines regarding teachers attending PD’s?
Thanks! Great advice for how to
Accompany the "end" of any pilot with a 1-2 page write up! Summarize goals, successes, challenges, needs
Our pupils forget most of what we teach them. They will remember us their teachers forever.Lets be good and kind to them
Very nice. You made a lot of people happy.
It's a fine line between wanting teachers to develop & keeping consistency & commitments to students (1)
A4 This may be a bit vague, but in ur experience, what typically stops principals from saying yes?
A4: Flip it- Do Principals feel supported/empowered by their supervisros to facilitate oppotunity for teachers?
Also what's feasible to learn and actually implement in one school year. Worth a conversation (2)
...betw Pr and Te early in year, agree on learning goals--then the necessary PD becomes clear (3).
. How lucky am I to have a principal that has almost always said yes to me?
Great answer, thank you. But what about unexpected opportunities? Leave some room, right?
Not having all facts/data, Fear new thing won't work,Not sure of implement. plan, too many competing priorities
Jackie has strong relationships and high credibility as a thinker and doer in this space
A4: My AMA to - How can Ts help their principal for release time for PD?
great point that I should think about more
Very. Most principals, believe it or not,WANT to say yes.We just need to find the right levers to help them!
Yes, there should always be some wriggle room for randomly great opportunities.
is now trending in USA, ranking 44

Lets teach from the heart and not from the book.It leads to lifelong learning I Know
It's true. Principals want to know what you propose has the potential to succeed.
The beauty of tech & social media; you can leave but always be there...
If a small pilot works, why not grow it? If it doesn't work, why would you want to? Win Win
