A1: Head Coach is the OC, so 4 varsity/JV O coaches, 4 D coaches. Then 4-5 freshman coaches. Love having varsity and jv together, 3 years to work with them #txhsfbchat

A1- 7coaches on staff, We all coach JV and Varsity. 4 of us are primary Varsity and the others JV. Each level has a dedicated OC, DC and STC. Each coach has an offensive and defensive group. #TXHSFBCHAT
Even number coaches on both sides of the ball. Eleven including head coach. All work with Varsity with everyone accept HC and Coordinators also working with sub-varsity levels. #txhsfbchat
A1. 4 coaches. HC, DB’s/WR’s, RB’s/DB’s and Line/LineBackers. However if one needs help we’re stepping in regardless. Our job is to coach the kids on the team, not just our designated position group. I was a DB/WR in HS but I want to know the Line position later on. #TXHSFBCHAT

Q2.A (Pre Game)
I do pre game mental focus (@FB_CoachFitz s/o to Beam) and help another coach with equipment check. The 4th assistant makes sure everyone is in their respective groups during meetings. #TXHSFBCHAT
A2: every coach on our staff probably has a small job to ensure stuff makes it to the stadium. For me I was the video guy so I had to make sure all my Filmers were there and cameras and EZ cam was up. Sheesh #txhsfbchat
A2) I only know what I do... GD- Study hall/ film in the morning. Pre- Pass out Gatorade before meal. Unload bus. Meet with OL. Get bands ready. Game- Watch box and just let OC know what’s available in run game. #TXHSFBCHAT
A2: Pregame I have managers that do camera set up, endzone camera, Hudl sideline, headsets...they’re the best!! During the game varsity coaches are on sideline, freshman in the box #txhsfbchat
A2) Booth guys have headsets, endzone and replay. OL & DL stay back, OC/DC/STC on Field, trainer and his helpers tape & water cooler, bottles. #TXHSFBCHAT
A2: HFC - Supervise Parents painting field & get them pizza / Pre Game Meal / Sound & PA Sysyem / Scoreboard, DC Supervise team in dressing field for home or bench during away games / RB Coach - Radios & Video, DB Coach - Locker room supervision continued. #TXHSFBCHAT

A2: Pre-game, I do headsets, we have a camera set up, ball bag, pre-sale tickets, and game day bus drivers (also me). During game, 6 coaches on field, 4 O, 2 D, and 4 in the box. Freshman coaches set up field for pregame and have various game jobs #TXHSFBCHAT

A2: We all set up the field for home games. Once it’s game time: HC, DC and 4 assistants take specialists to the field. After kicking game and passing, OC brings linemen out for team warm up. DC scouts kickers and returners, and offense for changes. #TXHSFBCHAT
A2 cont: DC gives onfield pep talk before heading yo locker room. Position coaches meet with players for any last prep. HC calls out special teams, gives final pep. Team Prayer. Gather up turn up the music get pumped, head out to KTA! #TXHSFBCHAT

A3: We have student Managers. One thing learned in the last couple years is you should probably treat the guys that work 30 hours a week for free with a lil respect. You all would be surprised how ungrateful some coaches can be #txhsfbchat

The Rig in Pearland is usually pretty solid. Waller had a good spread of homemade goodies last time I went out there...but most have gone to fast food standards or pizza...they save the good stuff for the district royalty #TXHSFBCHAT
#txhsfbchat we use our Middle school staff as film/tech guys. And assign one MS coach a "getback" coach. We have a team pastor and a team doctor on sideline
A3 we had a great trainer the previous 2 years but she left us this year for a better job and we did not have a permanent replacement. That made life harder this year.#TXHSFBCHAT
A4) As OL coach, the OC asked me scout Opp favorite blitzes and locate best players. I also graded the OL each week and totaled their stats. #TXHSFBCHAT
A4- Not well enough. I am the main Hudl guy and need to get a couple more people trained. I also am basically the Asst DC and focus on prepping that side of the game in addition to my ST. I like at least 3 game films to be done but will try to get all if possible.. #TXHSFBCHAT
I am a numbers guy so I do all our offensive break down and then we split up all the opponent scout film that hudl doesn't do. Game planning is a round table discussion and then we all have a little details we put together! #TXHSFBCHAT

Q4 every coach grades his position group. One coach is assigned offensive stats. For scouting purpose. Ea coach has a specific assignment. ID best DL. ID blitzes, when do they blitz? How to they blitz. One coach has opponent secondary (Coaverages, best DB? Worst DB)
A4: We review our game at our homes on Saturdays & enjoy CFB Sundays - OC & DC Game Plan from 9 AM to 3 PM Meet with kids for films and lift 4 to 6 PM. Mondays Game Plan Introduced with Scouting reports made by HFC #TXHSFBCHAT
Q4: The OC and DC are in charge of dividing up the AC film assignments. IDK about our D, but on O we discuss what we like and don't like. After, I draw up our plays vs the primary fronts of our opponent and other coaches prepare cards, etc for practice #TXHSFBCHAT

Q4 we try to establish their best and worst players. Do they play strong and weak or left and right. Will they move if we shift? Same procedure each week.
A4- continued..but I need to get more people trained in the system, using the same language, and logging the same things otherwise we miss important stuff. It is fun to be able to call the other guys plays out correctly. But if your in the box, watch you volume! 😁 #TXHSFBCHAT
A4)JVDC has odk, play type, for all films, has top 5 pass concepts, self scout, grades for C & our covers. DL coach, d&d, result, OL scout, pass pro, best 5 runs, self scout grades, front. I have all other columns. Game plan, top 5 input and talent Evals Sunday. #TXHSFBCHAT
Have to grade that film and get out notes as fast as possible. I always wake up early to try and upload offense so coaches don't waste time figuring out what the play is. #TXHSFBCHAT
I wake up at 6am Saturday mornings to go to my other job but usually get on Hudl around 8am after I’m settled down at work to knock out opposing game field. D&D. Yard line, hash etc. #TXHSFBCHAT
If you use hudl and do the live stats during the game. Your film guy can upload it just like an angle a save a bunch of time on down and distance and stuff. All you needs is an ipad and two people. Got to have that spotter. #TXHSFBCHAT
A5: Again I have no idea. Haha only been on the job for 5 weeks. I know for me personally I will be the Freshman/JV oline coach and Ast. Varsity oline. because I’m a full time college student and will miss varsity practice through the week #txhsfbchat
A5 Varsity staff comes to the games and supports as much as possible. We are mainly on the sidelines supporting the OC/DC/ and STC. 1 varsity coach is in the box with the OC (father-in-law/son-in-law) JV STC is on the set with DC and our #8 is the “get back” #TXHSFBCHAT
A5: 4 varsity coaches coach the two JV teams, rest of the staff has game duties like clock, camera, ticket sales, and concession open/close. Sometimes we are also chain gang #TXHSFBCHAT
A5)Fr staff comes out with players, they typically watch first half of the JV game. Our JV Guys can leave after their game, spend a little family time, I stay to again support he staff and players, plus my nephew would dream of leaving early. #TXHSFBCHAT

All but 3 Guys coach sub varsity game. Those 3 (the HC, the OC, and The STC) run a walk through and take varsity kids to a local church for a meal and devotion. We arrive at home games late and can't really attend away sub varsity games
