Each Monday evening at 8PM EST, music teachers get together and share ideas about important topics within music education. Itโs a great chance to interact directly with educators from all over the world and to get new tips and tricks to help you succeed in the classroom. The entire #musedchat discussion is organized and moderated by Joe Guarr.
Silent rehearsals are the best. ALL of my students were in the palm of my hands during a MS choir rehearsal. Not an everyday thing, but a good tool. #MusEdChat

A2: Joining late! But my students helped to create their class rules this year. They discussed and decided, and then I typed them up and they signed them. It's helped to give them power while holding them accountable. #MusEdChat
For choir, all instruction is given through gestures and the only noise allowed is singing. It forces the kiddos to really watch and pay attention...plus, it's a little goofy. ๐ #musedchat
A5: Get other educational leaders in the classroom! Have a principal come in and participate in a game or have a Spanish teacher explain the lyrics to a foreign language song. It changes it up for your students and shows that we're all in their learning together. #MusEdChat
