A1: For me in 2018, the most positive part of this (last) year has been the significant relationships and connections with kids that has fostered increased school engagement for many. #teachpos
#teachpos - I started a new role as an instructional coach this year. The most positive thing about that is having the ability to see so many great educators and learn from them every time I step foot into a new classroom. Not very many people get to see as much teaching as I do!
A1: the start of the 2018-19 school year was great. I spent almost a trimester working with whole classess in 4th and 5th grade to support S and T overall learning and understanding of phonics. #teachpos
A1: one of the most positive things has been the relationship my coteacher and I have formed. We have really got a great relationship and I think the kids benefit! #teachpos
A1: the most positive part of the 2018 year has been seeing my Ss push past their own limiting beliefs AND I myself doing the same thanks to some amazing mentors in my #PLN here on the twittersphere #teachpos
A1: the experiences have been educational, positive or negative, they gave me more experience to help others who may have the same struggle after mine #teachpos
A1: Coming to the powerful realization that I needed to slow down in my life and prioritize. It's taken me awhile, but this will positively impact my life forever! #teachpos

A1: The best part of the past school year was the amazing relationships I made during student teaching. The kids were amazing and the experience was great! I found my calling! #teachpos
A1: The most positive part of the 2018 school year for me was having time with so many awesome educators at ISTE and several other conferences. It's so great to meet those I only knew from Twitter and my #PLN and got a real hug in person. #teachpos
a1 I think my biggest excitement was discovering students who struggle with social skills can grow within assigned roles in inquiry-based learning. #teachpos

A1 not enough characters for this question!! Most positive: seeing intervention goals met, seeing smiling faces read letters from home, seeing kids learn through “play”, seeing kids love learning, & collaborating with colleagues ‼️#teachpos
A1~best part of 2018 ~ continuing to be a part of a classroom that welcomes diversity, challenges and supports second chances ~ authentically, openly & with little fanfare #teachpos
A1: Erika, St. Louis. The best part of 2018 has been the professional learning I’ve experienced as a result of my district, my colleagues, and my students. I love being surrounded by people who love learning as much as I do. #teachpos

A1: No doubt - the most positive thing about 2018 was joining Twitter! I now have an amazing #PLN of friends, colleagues, and heroes that challenge me daily to think, learn, appreciate, and even - sometimes - debate. 😊😍 #teachpos

A1: The most positive part of 2018 has been the ongoing push for pure goodness amongst all educators! Kindness Connections across the globe have nurtured a positive vibe for all! #teachpos#KindnessMatters
A1: This summer I realized the amazing strength found in a Twitter PLN. The best part of this school year has been putting into practice things I’ve learned from my Twitter friends and watching my Ss’ engagement, creativity, student voice/choice, and enjoyment grow! #teachpos
A1: the most positive part of the year was in Oct and was reflecting on the 10 or more PDs we had done & @alicekeeler came to our district too! Lots of great learning & inspiration for our new teachers #teachpos

A2: They are beginning to understand that they have lots of innate power within themselves and it's only once they take ownership and responsibility that they can tap into that power. #teachpos#extremeownership
A2: I motivate my Ts with words of affirmations, shout outs, and the occasional goody bag. My Ss are recognized with incentives for various tasks/ goals met. #teachpos
Yes, this ---> The Kindness Connections across the globe and through social media has opened my eyes to the goodness in people and what kids can do if we give them the chance. #KindnessMatters#Teachpos

A2: Hey y'all...Terry from Alabama jumping in. I feel inspired my Ss by teaching, modeling, and living the growth mindset for them daily I hope I have inspired them to be optimistic warriors in life #teachpos
A2: I’ve inspired and motivated my Ss by showing up everyday excited to learnAND teach, reminding them how important they are and I’m here to support them, and coming up with projects far outside the box making learning fun and magical #teachpos
A2: Hopefully, I've been a model learner! We are building a new Ag Ed Center and my students have been there right with me in the construction process. There is going to be a huge learning and designing of space curve over the next semester, but the kids are bought in!! #teachpos
Hell #teachpos 1st time here thx for the tag @MrNunesteach!
I’m Marcia from Atwater CA, #tosa new teacher induction mentor! Love connecting with educators
A2: I'm not in a class but I work with teachers and administrators. What I see are schools putting more focus on building culture and relationships before jumping into content. So #inspirational especially when Ss have a voice in how they learn. #Teachpos
Honestly, my relationship with faculty and admin. Almost every conversation I've had (and witnessed) has been supportive, productive, and motivating. #teachpos
A2: I "Inspire and motivate" by being my real, genuine, authentic and positive self with them daily...is it contagious and becomes "their" culture. #teachpos
A2: My role has a discipline component. I’d like to think I’ve showed Ss a trip to the office means figuring out how to make things right, how to think empathetically, and that they are loved & needed even when we don’t agree with their choices. #teachpos

A2. I've had some challenges...but we're ok. 🙂 Honestly, I call them together each day and tell them I love them and believe in them...Relationships...#teachpos
A2: My final placement was with 6th grade. I hope I inspired them to follow their dreams by showing them how I was following mine. They were as excited about my graduation as I was and it made the idea college a little closer for them. #teachpos
A2~
~ with a whole bunch of love, laughter
~tons of support
~modeling continuously that it takes a village to educate
~great teaching that puts Ss at the front of all we do, share
~most importantly, respecting their diversity and their families ❤️
#teachpos
A2: We set individual and classroom goals. Students receive a positive phone call home and shout out when reaching individual goals. We have a celebration when a classroom goal is met! #teachpos

A1: The most positive thing is my AWESOME team. We work so well today. We have become the model team in our building. I have never been apart of such a supportive team. #teachpos
A2: I have #failedforward this year with #gamification. There have been many areas I dropped the ball, but many successes with student engagement!
#teachpos
A2: I believe in my heart that my smile and unconditional love reaches each of their souls. I model risk taking ways, failure, grit and determination on a daily basis. I focus less on the outcome and more on the journey! #teachpos#Nan3EDU
I'm not sure if this is particularly inspiring, but we regularly have convos about education, learning, teaching, & current studies on edu trends. This helps them (& me) to stay on top of our game bc we're learning content w/ much broader purpose in mind. #teachpos
#teachpos - A2 - I have tried to encourage the teachers that I work with to take on a growth mindset for themselves. There are a lot of changes in the way math is taught, and it is easy to slide back into teach-centric methods that might be easier for us, but not better for Ss.
Love you said "excited to LEARN and teach"! We need to be master learners as well as master teachers!! Modeling is the greatest teacher! Thanks for sharing! #teachpos
A2: since I were mostly with Teachers, I have tried to inspire 💜them with theme based Pirate style PD #TLAP inspired by @burgessdave 💥👀here’s a guest blog post about our Themed PD ❇️#teachpos ❇️

A2 I hope my students are inspired by my connecting through written mail to them, my fantabulous singing & dancing mad skillz greeting them in the mornings & and motivated by seeing me model motivation, hard work, determination and grit ... #teachpos
Incorporate more and more student voice and student choice. The increase in buy in, engagement, fun, relationships, and above all learning is amazing! #teachpos
A3: No worksheets. Let them read, write, and talk all day every day in class. Pose interesting questions and let them argue about those questions. Build knowledge rather than isolated discrete skills. #Teachpos
A3: I see the return to school for the new calendar year as a time to re-ignite the FIRE! I will begin with massive enthusiasm, love, connection, and Listen to my students as humans... We can work when we are done. #teachpos
A3: I want my Ts and Ss to see the fun side of learning and education. Become more outside the box thinkers as we prepare for mid year testing and spring testing prep. Set goals and celebrate achievements! #teachpos
#teachpos - A3 - This is a big one that I see being lost in a lot of math classrooms. I have been really surprised how many teachers just need to be reminded to have fun with students again! So easy to get stuck in a rut and stop having fun.
A3: Be Positive. Stay Positive. You can model what makes you happy and show that being positive can give you the skills and strength to handle the most difficult situation. Show how you made mistakes and tried again and again. Oh, and smile. #Teachpos

A3. I've been reflecting over break a lot. I want more input and student voice. I'm going to have them write resolutions and a suggestion for our classroom. #teachpos

A3: bring the peace and calm and joy of this break with me into the classroom! Continue spreading fun, laughter, and excitement for learning with novel, creative, and adventurous learning activities #teachpos
A1: Taking on a brand new position that lets me show my true passion for helping promote positivity and creativity with a whole school full of students!! 🥰 #teachpos
A3~ we are going to reach out and thank others for the difference they are making for our world 🌎 ... we will reach out to @nankr1120 & start making cards and heartfelt letters for our troops #teachpos
A3: bring the peace and calm and joy of this break with me into the classroom! Continue spreading fun, laughter, and excitement for learning with novel, creative, and adventurous learning activities #teachpos
A3: First, be genuinely happy to see them again! Second, focus on making learning relevant, engaging, and fun! Third, encourage students to take risks and to not fear failure. And, "Dream Big" is a good idea, too! #teachpos
Well, I couldn't have started reading Teach Like a Pirate at a better time. The book has truly spoken to me, and I think it's time to unleash my creativity & get out my comfort zone with my lessons. #teachpos
A1: Being able to see my kids from last school year being successful after really struggling their freshman year. Many came back and thanked me for not giving up on them. #teachpos
A3: As my students and I will be starting together mid-year, I think I need to let them know that our classroom is a safe place to make mistakes and be vulnerable in learning. We will be learning together and making mistakes together, and that's OK. #firstyearteacher#teachpos
A3: I think encouraging students to cherish who they are and love themselves. Self-worth and mental health need take stronger focuses with all of us! 🔥 #TeachPos
A2: I’ve shown my PreK-5 kiddos that the experiences we have in our brand new Technology Learning Lab are so much more than just playing games on a website-plugged and unplugged STREAM activities galore!! Hands on fun and abundance of new opportunities! #teachpos
Inspiring?? Heck yah! Thanks for taking the time to have those convos! I've had students come back and retell me a simple conversation I didn't even remember that impacted their life...you are rocking and that is awesome!! #teachpos
A3 I💚this question. How will I inspire and motivate & engage & empower and inform & guide and facilitate and encourage and support and provide a culture of success for my returning 6th graders and my team of teachers.... I think with passion, purpose & professionalism #teachpos
A3 #teachpos I can begin the year by allowing my students precious time to enjoy literature that is accessible for them with @Learning_Ally#grg2019! TY @smcjett for the encouragement!
A3: embracing #pbl genius hour projects & student centered learning; play the Ss favorite hits—each S submits their song 💥💜#teachpos 👀✅

A3: It is always about them! My year is built on solid relationships that have connected me to their passions. We MASH up Standards and Passion to create epic learning each day! Not to mention I send them videos telling them how much I miss them! ♥️ #teachpos#Nan3EDU
