Welcome to the #wearewayne twitter chat. Tonight we will talk about our veterans and how to help our kids learn about and learn from our veterans. Remember to add the #wearewayne to your responses.
Q1: Please introduce yourself... where do you work? If you are a teacher, what grades do you teach? If you are a veteran when, where, and what branch did you serve? #wearewayne

A2: My husband served as a navy submarine officer for 11 years. My grandfather served in WWII. I wished I knew more of his story from the time he served. #wearewayne
A3: I believe most Americans respect our veterans, but sadly, our veterans do not receive nearly the support and resources they often need after service. It must be more of a priority. #wearewayne
Q5: Veterans of the past and of the present literally risk--and sometimes sacrifice--their lives to protect our lives and freedoms. What can we as private individuals do to honor these men and women? #wearewayne
A4: I have seen classes participate in writing letters for honor flight mail calls, but not enough. I wish we did more. Invited them in to tell their stories. Found ways to thank them and learn from them. #wearewayne
