A4: I really want to dive in with computer science and get our Ss programming even more than they did this year with #swift and the #everyonecancode curriculum! I would also like to blog regularly! #appleEDUchat
Q4: I enjoyed programming when I was young, but moved away from it. I started to revisit coding with Swift Playgrounds and would like to do more with robotics. Video has been big with me thanks to my friends in the ADE community and I would like to learn more. #AppleEDUchat
Using @Flipgrid adds a whole new level of conversation and learning in our room. Love it! We used it to connect classrooms across the country…amazing! #AppleEDUchat
A4: I would love to experiment more with the coding platform CoSpaces. It is a 3D coding format and my kids and I LOVED our initial lessons but I ran out of time to dig into it deeper! If you love coding and want a different experience than 2D try it out! #AppleEDUChat
I would love to connect parents to their students learning through apps like seesaw and I would like students to interact more with each other’s work in seesaw and flipgrid #AppleEDUChat
A4: I’m excited to explore the new Schoolwork App with some excited educators opening up a new campus at #CHS9. Interested to see what we can do with it! #AppleEDUChat

A4 I have not given Clips the attention it deserves - I think our faculty could really benefit from it and I would love to create some sort of beginner tutorial for them. #AppleEDUchat
A4: I would like to utilize more Challenge Based Learning or Project Based Learning. I want to see students excited about solving real problems in their classrooms with technology and career skills. Entrepreneur-CSI-students #APPLEeduCHAT
Next year I want my kids to make podcast for younger scientist and to show their mastery. Not sure how I will exactly do it, but I am looking forward to learning how. #AppleEDUchat
A4. Want Multi-Touch iBooks to become more used in my learning environment. This year my AP Physics students wrote chapters for their own textbook. #appleEDUchat
Seesaw makes all of this super simple with everything all on one place. I’m not sure how I would teach/create with so many students if I didn’t have @Seesaw#lifesaver#AppleEDUChat
Question Five of #AppleEDUchat is here!!!
How do you plan to extend the learning for yourself and students over the summer months?
Only 20 minutes of this awesome chat left! Finish Strong!
A4: Not looking to add anything in the physical sense, rather exploring ways to process/refect/refine my practices by telling the stories of the classroom via @VodsOnVids. @145lewis#AppleEDUchat
This is my FAVORITE!!!! There are so many Problem Based Learning programs and experiences out there but one of my FAV resources are "Interact Simulations" They are highly research based and we use them w/ our Gifted and Talent kids, they would be great in GenEd too! #AppleEDUChat
Are they available for download? I’m ditching traditional text next year and moving to this method. I have ones that I did in past for field tips, but looking for more examples. #AppleEDUchat
#AppleEDUchat Who is using the new iPad with Apple Pencil and loving it?
I am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What are you doing with it.
I know.. I know… Rogue Question.
My kids wrote one on using energy resources more wisely. It is geared to community and students, but it is 6th grade, so it may not help your kids much #AppleEDUchat
My big project for the summer is geared toward rediscovering resources that my community offers and how they can be worked into projects that teachers in my district create. Scratched the surface of this in the last month and got very excited.#appleeduchat
We had HS Ss use Clips to create reflections on their field trips. So awesome to hear what they were learning - in their own words. #EndTheWorksheets#AppleEDUchat
A5: #ISTE18#ADEInstitute And, working with the awesome @rperry209 on a quarter long class exploring The Martian through robotics! Going to learn a lot this summer! #AppleEDUchat

A5 summer’s done here so I’m thinking about what to present in next year’s conference. Thinking also about how to schedule my certification exams (google). #AppleEDUchat
I work at a Camp all summer so while I won’t be doing any professional learning in the traditional sense I do plan on asking all the kids about the way their schools use technology- no better source than kids to find out what kids like! #AppleEDUchat

We are indeed working with Pages to create a book. Young adults are a bit awed that they can create a book. One of my favorite states to see them in. Some young adults are talking about using #pages for their learning artifacts. #AppleEDUchat
A5:
✔️Reading.
✔️Conversations with w/ EDU friends.
✔️Connecting with various business professionals.
✔️Vodcasting w/ @145lewis#VodsOnVids.

A5. Teaching a robotics and Swift at summer school, speaking at ISTE in June, hosting family and friends the rest of the time. Great summer!#appleEDUchat
A6 Learning does not have to mean homework - I hope I’ve inspired my Ss to continue being curious, finding new ways to express their ideas, & to question! #AppleEDUchat
A6 partner with my Ss next grade level Ts to come up with some challenges/problems the kids can work on over the summer and answer at the start of the new school year #AppleEDUchat
I want them to use their brains to solve their problems, facing them instead of ducking them. I don’t care if they learn content, just resiliency and grit. #AppleEDUchat
Yes! Love this! When Ss explore they learn! I love that our district has summer school and tech camps where Ss can get in the creative flow! #appleEDUchat
A6 I love to see my Ss continuing to create all summer long… many of them will share (email) or bring to start of school. #AppleEDUchat Creativity and expression still happening around new focus and ideas!
A6: Introducing my students to awesome software, helping them connect back to the spaces around them, and encouraging them to keep asking question. Seeing science around them. #AppleEDUchat
A6) Young adults like to challenge me at the end….give me summer learning projects. They have to be able to answer my questions so need to know the basics. #AppleEDUchat
Shout out to everyone who is on tonight and to those who have participated in #AppleEDUchat at any point this year. Thank you - it was YOU that made it great. See you all next season.
Thank you to everyone who joined us this evening for #AppleEDUchat Such wonderful achievements and ideas for continued learning. See you all next season!
A6: I encouraged my Ss to teach someone something they learned this year-a pay it forward from the classroom.Whether it was making an automaton, teaching a sibling to code, sharing how to research, writing a check to pay bill w/ their parents...to choose one thing!
