Good morning, #HackLearning! I hope you all are having a great 2018 so far as we are *igniting* our students learning. Stella, 7th Grade Science Teacher from KY. Happy to be here with you all today.
Good morning ... ☀️ joining from a cold FL (36 degrees this AM 😜 I had to put on socks) ... Sylvia, Academic Coach / ENG tchr from Tampa ... #HackLearning
Hi #Hacklearning! Denis, author of Instant Relevance and the soon to be released #HackingMath! Love today's topic, it's a the heart of my #MakeItReal PLN!
A1. In the eyes of my students. That’s the absolute best thing about giving the students choice and voice, they are always doing activities and creating things that I wouldn’t have ever dreamed about. #hacklearning
A1: passions, passions and interests should always be a starting point, standards can be worked into inquiry based units based on passions and interests #HackLearning
A1: Open your eyes and carry your phone. Take pics and vids of the simplest things around you whenever they cause you to question, think, or pause. Those are the Hooks for your classroom! #Hacklearning#MakeItReal
A1b. Through my Twitter #PLN. Your ideas and creations are always astounding. I consider myself to be so blessed to be an educator in a time where I can connect with thousands of educators at any time throughout my day. #hacklearning
A1 I find that creativity often comes from making connections. Ex: I'm looking into an idea for a lesson plan, and a video pops up onto my FB feed, & then, voila! a new cool idea #hacklearning
A1. Twitter is a great professional resource that helps to spur my creativity plus my PLN here in our province that spans teachers in several boards. #hacklearning
A1: I look for and find inspiration by slowing down and taking in the sights, sounds and the people that I encounter both in and out of school on a daily basis. Life is it's own veritable gold mine of ideas if you pay attention! #hacklearning
A1 EVERYWHERE! 💜 So many of my learning / teaching hinges in direct connections I can make concrete examples from their world ... keep my eyes, ears, & heart open to those connections #HackLearning
A1 Difficult to pinpoint. Inspiration comes to me when I give myself time to breathe, letting my mind wander. Other times it is when I am playing with my children or talking with Ss and asking for their input. Connecting with my #PLN. #hacklearning
A1: I find inspiration everywhere: the teachers I work with, the students I teach, the colleagues and mentors I find online and more. Every interaction has the potential to change who we are as an educator, as long as we look for those opportunities. #HackLearning
A1. Usually from the world around me! Books, movies, current events, games, art, etc. creative ideas are a around us if we just look for them! #hacklearning
A1. I’ve read voraciously all my life, having grown up in a house full of multidisciplinary books. Creativity being what it is, I’ve found that the best ideas are often farmed across disciplines, and that if you can’t learn from anyone, you’re not doing it right. #HackLearning
A1 I find that creativity often comes from making connections. Ex: I'm looking into an idea for a lesson plan, and a video pops up onto my FB feed, & then, voila! a new cool idea #hacklearning
A1c. Nature. I teach science and if I slow down and become observant, I can make connections and stories to take back to share with my students. #hacklearning
A1 My new ideas often come from books. For example, after reading this book, I was inspired to add more pedagogy to my tech trainings. #InfusedLearning#HackLearning
A1 we have had the great honor of having @MathDenisNJ and @burgess_shelley at our school the past two years and they have made a huge impact on the whole staff. When you #makeitreal kids get engaged in the process. Here is an example of math problems in the hallway #HackLearning
A1.2 Every morning I walk to school from a remote parking lot (a few city blocks). The roads are quite, the sun is just creeping up, and this is the time I gather my creative strength. #hacklearning
A1: Hard to narrow it down, inspiration comes from everywhere! Often ideas from kids & other teachers spur me on, but it can also be something random I see/experience in life. #HackLearning
A1 Being new to my role as a teacher librarian, I'm often looking to those with more experience for inspiration. So fortunate to have a strong group in my district that is generous to give creative ideas! #hacklearning
A1 I find creative inspiration from observing and talking to people in fields beyond education—psychologists, artists, naturalists, engineers, activists—and continually looking for how this work applies to mine.
#HackLearning
A1 I find that creativity often comes from making connections. Ex: I'm looking into an idea for a lesson plan, and a video pops up onto my FB feed, & then, voila! a new cool idea #hacklearning
A1: Most inspiration or ideas come when I'm doing something else. Car ride, shower, walk w/ the dogs, doing dishes, etc. Lets all the external stimuli actually sink in and become something. #HackLearning
A1: I find inspiration everywhere: the teachers I work with, the students I teach, the colleagues and mentors I find online and more. Every interaction has the potential to change who we are as an educator, as long as we look for those opportunities. #HackLearning
A1: People!! Ordinary people using their gifts to do extraordinary things! It never ceases to inspire me and fuel my desire to be better! #hacklearning
A1 I find a lot of my inspiration from my PLN here on Twitter, but most of it truly comes from kids. I can look at the students and see ideas of where to help others. #HackLearning
A1, having content area teachers come to me to design projects for what they are studying. Helps me think of things I never would have before. #HackLearning
A1. We often learn less from the absolute value of someone else’s idea than we can from the approach its owner took in developing and applying it. And the other’s context should always inform your own, with ‘different’ being just as valuable as ‘similar.’ #HackLearning
A1 Sometimes facing problems sparks my creativity. At first I feel overwhelmed by the impossibility of finding a solution...but if I think outside the box, I can often find a way to make things work #hacklearning

Ooooooooh, I love this. Problems = opportunities for innovation. It's a great way of flipping your perspective and finding real-life solutions to things! #HackLearning
A1 Sometimes facing problems sparks my creativity. At first I feel overwhelmed by the impossibility of finding a solution...but if I think outside the box, I can often find a way to make things work #hacklearning
Great point! I make an effort to take the ideas of the pessimists and turn them into something constructive, but they don't make it easy! #HackLearning
I agree. I think the art of learning pedagogy in the classroom is dying. The web is our default pref now. And why not, one might ask? But when I began my career, “kid-watching” -- from the world of Whole Language -- was a prof. skill we all strove to hone. #HackLearning
Hello everyone! Jumping in late and don't know the question or topic BUT I agree with the tweets I've seen about being inspired by PLN! #hacklearning I'm from Utah :)
Trying to have an innovative school, under the power of a VERY traditional education system, I have to do this a lot. I think our school is actually stronger because we have to find ways around rules #hacklearning
Inspiration - A1: In the questions that have no answers. Giving problems the “side eye”. By moving on and letting the issue I’m looking for inspiration about simmer in the background. #hacklearning
I find walking my dog before work has a similar effect. I try to just be present and enjoy the nature around me -- sounds, smells, sights and be open to the day #hacklearning
Sometimes I feel like a super hero spy when I visit other schools. My phone is out and I am taking pictures of books, S work, and org charts. #PLN#hacklearning
A2: Talk about your sources of inspiration with your students. Share them! Show them that you are a life long learner. And have them share your inspirations with you as well. #hacklearning
A2: Make time for exploration & encourage students to look around, not be so hyper-focused on what they have to do. And model - talk about your inspiration & thought process! #HackLearning
Provide time for students to pursue passions through #STEAM and #Makered. Ensure time for blogging, collaboration, and reflecting within the school day! #hacklearning
A2: There is always a way to apply the lesson. For me, pop culture inspired many lessons. Also, problems or puzzles in the world Ss could solve on a micro level. #HackLearning
Not their job; their job is to challenge us to keep finding those sparks in the muddy campfire & rekindle them back into a blazing inferno of inspired learning #hacklearning#sundaymorningmetaphors
A2 Take the students on the journey with us. Make the learning a process, adventure rather than a moment in time. Explore ideas through many lenses instead of through 1 lecture. #HackLearning
A2. Sketchnoting is huge in my class right now. Learning the various components etc. they also create LAUNCH projects throughout the year. I provide them with materials. #hacklearning
A2 I share my thinking process “when I was seeing ... I thought ...” “I was thinking ... when I heard ...” What I need to do now is model the process better with asking questions #HackLearning
A2: Facilitate multiple learning paths, nurture Ss exploration of thier interests ignite thier passion for learning! Model a #growthminset and encourage boxless thinking! #HackLearning
A2: By allowing the students to ACTUALLY be creative. If you are giving an assignment and get back 30 of the same thing, that’s not allowing the students to be creative… That’s giving them a recipe. EMBRACE the power of choice. #hacklearning
A2: Show students what is relevant in your life, if you are reading a book, let them see you reading it, start a conversation and you will be surprised at what you learn about your students interests too... starting points #HackLearning
A2: We often keep the very practices that make adults creative readers, writers & thinkers out of the classroom. We need time for authentic learning, exploration based on interests, connections within & outside of our classroom doors & resources to fuel our work. #HackLearning
A2: Talk about your sources of inspiration with your students. Share them! Show them that you are a life long learner. And have them share your inspirations with you as well. #hacklearning
A1: #HackLearning About the same here, I'm always looking ahead (horrible grader). I have a creative itch that if not scratched drives me insane. I get a bit of inspiration and have to run with it!
A2: Give yourself permission to present barriers or problems that you don't have a solution for yet. Model for students that sometimes inspiration takes time... days... or more. #HackLearning
As an admin, when I talk to Ss I continually share what I am listening to, reading & learning. I also ask them for advice & thoughts so they see other opinions are valued. #hacklearning
Interesting. I would hope this skill is still being honed in our schools. The #f2f relationships are really our remaining competitive advantage over online learning platforms. This is where the magic happens! #hacklearning
A2 - I try hard to model reflection and innovative ideas for staff to try in their classroom. We model in staff meetings and we share in the Google Classroom. #HackLearning
A2: I try and get out of Ss way and let things come to them w/out my intervention. Give time to think, brainstorm, struggle, collaborate. #hacklearning
A2 Our creative inspirations are springboards into deeper learning. Like anything (tech included) know the outcomes. Will this moment of inspiration be purposeful for some of my Ss? #hacklearning
A2: By allowing the students to ACTUALLY be creative. If you are giving an assignment and get back 30 of the same thing, that’s not allowing the students to be creative… That’s giving them a recipe. EMBRACE the power of choice. #hacklearning
A2: We need to train students to see connections between seemingly unrelated things - do it over and over. The more practice they have, the more fluency and flexibility they will have in solving problems and completing tasks. #infinitepotential#hacklearning
Classroom learning is about creating opportunity ... striving to find those moments where content meets student passion and then step back #hacklearning
A2: Give yourself permission to present barriers or problems that you don't have a solution for yet. Model for students that sometimes inspiration takes time... days... or more. #HackLearning
A2: Ask the Ss what their interests are and realize not everyone is creative in the same way. Some are terrible drawers but are awesome at building models. Some like to compose music, some enjoy coding a new program. Ask and let them connect it to THEIR learning. #HackLearning
A2: By allowing the students to ACTUALLY be creative. If you are giving an assignment and get back 30 of the same thing, that’s not allowing the students to be creative… That’s giving them a recipe. EMBRACE the power of choice. #hacklearning
Recently a student brought homemade brownies in as a treat after they finished their book review. When a students asked why the brownies, the reply was "A sweet treat for a sweet read". Creative! #Hacklearning
A3: Create a pathway for students to create real change. Nothing honors students more than allowing them to use their knowledge to create good for others. Their time with us should result in more than a test grade! #teachsdgs#howiparticipate#HackLearning
A2 I share my sources / inspirations. Ex, I am new to Geniushour, and shared with my students where I got the idea that they are MY Genius hour project. Had quite an impact. #hacklearning
A2) In order for authentic and purposeful learning to occur that will advance learning for all students, the way to best bring creativity into the classroom is to use it with the assessment cycle, while ensuring learning topics are relevant and engaging for all #HackLearning
A2: #HackLearning Creative things to bring into the classroom. I Like games, so I bring them into the classroom and make them relevant. Including #StoryCubes for writing prompts.
Good Morning! #HackLearning jumping in Late/Melisa from OH
A1. TWITTER, my amazing PLN, walls/runs to reflect, my kids also give me great ideas and books-#bethewildcard Started to Read- AMAZING book❤️
Super true! We have so much insight to gain from talking to students! And their solutions to problems? If not always practical, almost always #ramjamyesmoreofthatthinkingplease#hacklearning
As an admin, when I talk to Ss I continually share what I am listening to, reading & learning. I also ask them for advice & thoughts so they see other opinions are valued. #hacklearning
A2: Facilitate multiple learning paths, nurture Ss exploration of thier interests ignite thier passion for learning! Model a #growthminset and encourage boxless thinking! #HackLearning
A2. Choice is a key component of being creative in the classroom. Also so is Listening To the students ideas, suggestions and modifications that allow them to be creative with activities makes the learning more engaging and meaningful for them. #HackLearning
Too true. I just read Shoe Dog by the founder of Nike - and his entire business seems to have been built on a series of "happy accidents. " My son wrote an inscription that said "this reminds me of you & your school" #hacklearning
A2: Pause every now and then. Have Students reflect. Then storyboard their reflections so that at the end they can share their product and the path to it's creation! #hacklearning#MakeItReal
A2: We often keep the very practices that make adults creative readers, writers & thinkers out of the classroom. We need time for authentic learning, exploration based on interests, connections within & outside of our classroom doors & resources to fuel our work. #HackLearning
A2 Bringing our sources of creative inspiration into our classrooms—that itself takes creativity. We can apply and extend new concepts and vocabularies (and the ideas they represent) to solve old problems and explore new possibilities in our classrooms.
#HackLearning
A2 I am upfront with my Ss. "I had a brainstorm and I am going to try it out today. Let me know what you think." My most recent use of @Nearpod, our myth rubric, etc. Always looking for S (& P) feedback) #hacklearning
Absolutely! the same forces that inspire us to solve problems & uncover new ideas exist in the lives of our students; it's why @trev_mackenzie's #diveintoinquiry so powerful #hacklearning
A2: We often keep the very practices that make adults creative readers, writers & thinkers out of the classroom. We need time for authentic learning, exploration based on interests, connections within & outside of our classroom doors & resources to fuel our work. #HackLearning
Q2 I like objects that allow for open ended creative responses for students. Just built a vertical wind tube and put it in a hallway. K-12 students love to play with it between classes and teachers give context to experiences. #HackLearning
Along those lines, with my students and their projects, I often challenge them to embrace something new as part of the project -- a new productivity tool, presentation tool, process, etc. We all sometimes need the encouragement to be creative. #HackLearning
A2: Ask the Ss what their interests are and realize not everyone is creative in the same way. Some are terrible drawers but are awesome at building models. Some like to compose music, some enjoy coding a new program. Ask and let them connect it to THEIR learning. #HackLearning
Yes. Here’s where it helps to love what you teach, and share a bit of yourself. For me, it was easy because I’d always loved learning, and I saw Writing, Reading, & Math as beautiful disciplines an entire class could think/wonder about and learn about together. #HackLearning
The best teaching moments rarely have anything to do with content standards ... how many times do you hear a student say "Standard FL.SS.A.4.1 (or whatever standard) made the biggest impact on my life" #hacklearning
This honesty is the best kind of modeling. They need to know we're learners too and that it's OK to not be the best at something on a first try. #hacklearning
A2 Encourage students to think of ideas that no one else in the class will think of- make it game like and reward creativity with intentional practice #HackLearning
A2: One more, Ss need to be aware that it is okay to break away from playing the game of school. Not every class has to be regurgitating and it’s okay to feel stressed/uncomfortable with the content because that’s when you grow. Ss are used to easy. Change that. #hacklearning
A2: Students will surprise you when you give them the reins: how will you learn this? How will you show your learning? They can really be quite creative. #HackLearning
A2:Creativity and priority standards,(as opposed to all standards) are not enemies. Formative assessment based on visible learning targets leading to SELF assessment, within the creative process, is necessary to reach high levels of learning. Intentional reflection #hacklearning
I find this works in reverse too @J_Loetzerich I used to love reading the books, watching the shows, listening to the music my students talked about as well. A window inside their minds... #HackLearning
A2: Show students what is relevant in your life, if you are reading a book, let them see you reading it, start a conversation and you will be surprised at what you learn about your students interests too... starting points #HackLearning
Q3 When students express their intention behind creative choices they think more critically about their learning. How might we help students document their process in a meaningful way? #HackLearning
A2 Take the time to seek out people who are doing new and exciting things and invite them to your school to speak to students or staff. You can google hangout, Skype etc there’s no excuse today. Educators need to share the amazing things #hacklearning@DynamicDuda338#Wondertwins
Q3 When students express their intention behind creative choices they think more critically about their learning. How might we help students document their process in a meaningful way? #HackLearning
A2: Currently I’m working with my students K-5 on taking ownership of their learning. I’m letting them choose what they learn and then share with a partner (K-1) or blog about it (2-5). Awesome to witness! #HackLearning#iownmylearning
A3 I developed my intention map graphic organizer to help Ss in @scitechyedu's #DEEPdt design process; discovered it helps Ss think about layering learning & making deliberate choices no matter the context https://t.co/AiVdsxPHLj#hacklearning
A2 "Learning is a natural byproduct of experience". Create experiences that students can find their own interest and lessons from. Then discuss and reflect. #HackLearning
Yes! We need to remain open to trying new things....and being able to choose what works best for our own personal learning. But we will not know until we try! #HackLearning
When I think about creativity in class, the word that comes to mind is MARGIN. Do I have any margin in my class, or is it so jam-packed that there is no room for creativity? #hacklearning
That's an important question and yet I try to find the value in all three! I realize that how I categorize the comment at times depends on my mood and the other challenges I've faced. Sometimes it depends on theirs! #HackLearning
A2: As an IC, when I’m talking about an idea I got, I always give credit, for example: “This morning I was listening to the _____ podcast and they had a really cool idea about ___.” I try to intentionally do that so others can get new ideas for inspiration. #hacklearning
A3: Allow them to find a reflective tool that works for them -- journaling, blogging, audio files, a Q & A with you. Whatever reflective tool/process works, use it! #hacklearning
A3 We need to allow for time! So much of reflection is an afterthought, not embedded in the process. Allow for time, throughout a learning experience for Ss to share thinking. Also choice of medium so every learner is comfortable sharing thinking. #hacklearning
A3: Here's one example of how to document the creative process, helping everyone see that great ideas aren't just born - they're made. https://t.co/6L0QVIkLIK#HackLearning
A3: Students can use online sources like @padlet to create a brainstorming area, students can blog @edublogs to keep track of their creative accomplishments #hacklearning
A2 Creativity can come from small details. This activity sparked our kids from 3rd grade to 11th grade. Simple, yet powerful #hacklearninghttps://t.co/Ru55zqJXlL
Yes - find a local coffee house , see if you can get a sponsor (@Flipgrid or @RemindHQ etc) and out the word on Twitter - you’ll be surprised how many people show up #hacklearning

A3: Choice! Students cannot be intentional unless they have choices to choose from: traditional, digital, text, video, audio, Google, Apple and more. Then, they must have an authentic & purposeful reason for doing so with a real audience to share it with. #HackLearning
Q3 When students express their intention behind creative choices they think more critically about their learning. How might we help students document their process in a meaningful way? #HackLearning
A3 teach them how to reflect and tap into metacognitive skills where they can learn how to self-assess along the way. Then they become more aware of what strategies work best for them and they become more intentional. #hacklearning
Great point. If there is no time or space for creativity or all the parameters have been set by the T, why would Ss stretch themselves to think harder? #HackLearning
When I think about creativity in class, the word that comes to mind is MARGIN. Do I have any margin in my class, or is it so jam-packed that there is no room for creativity? #hacklearning
Going for a run does it for me - that's when I plan my blog posts. Only problem is - my short memory. Hard to hang on to those great ideas! #hacklearning
requires students make connections between their research/analysis/empathy interviews & the products they create to demonstrate their understanding; keeps me accountable as well #evidenceoverintuition#hacklearning
That's a great way to encourage them to be risk takers. We dont demonstrate trial and error enough for students. They need to understand that failure is a valuable part of the learning process. #hacklearning
A2 I am upfront with my Ss. "I had a brainstorm and I am going to try it out today. Let me know what you think." My most recent use of @Nearpod, our myth rubric, etc. Always looking for S (& P) feedback) #hacklearning
A3: I think showing progression on anything is critical. When we give expert examples of the final product, it's difficult to imagine how to get there. This is true of anything - not just creativity. #HackLearning
A3 Every student these days has a documentation super tool in their pocket. Teach them to put their Instagram and video chat skills to work for documentation. #HackLearning
Good Morning! #HackLearning jumping in Late/Melisa from OH
A1. TWITTER, my amazing PLN, walls/runs to reflect, my kids also give me great ideas and books-#bethewildcard Started to Read- AMAZING book❤️
I also get concerned that my Ss will get stuck on one or two tools and not be willing to reach out, learn, and push themselves. To do so will be so important for their future. #HackLearning
A3 Looking forward to integrating sketchnoting as an option for my Ss to capture thinking in progress, as well as classroom conversations. #hacklearning#StudentToolBox
A2b: Also, we should allow Ss and Ts the same opportunity to be creative and find inspiration. So when doing an assignment or setting goals, let them decide HOW they want to do it. If we give them chances to and resources for inspirations, it’ll be amazing! #hacklearning
A3) A purposeful, authentic, and real-world way to document learning is by utilizing portfolios. Portfolios allow teachers and students themselves to see growth as more learning occurs! #HackLearning
I know! Our kids who are identified as “Gifted and Talented” have the most difficult time. It’s because their afraid of change. That’s not the kind of learning we need to be incorporating. What’s going to happen when they go to college/get jobs? #gulp. #HackLearning
A3: Giving students the chance to reflect, having them give feedback, providing opportunities to discuss with peers, allowing them to develop blogs...all can encourage students to analyze the process. #HackLearning
A3: I loved having my students blog last year. Or they can sketchnote or make a video or really, produce anything that synthesizes & shares their thoughts. #hacklearning
A3 Reflection is so important. A blog, a journal, a portfolio where students can collect their work and reflect on the individual artifacts as well as the totality of their work. #HackLearning
A2: Pause every now and then. Have Students reflect. Then storyboard their reflections so that at the end they can share their product and the path to it's creation! #hacklearning#MakeItReal
It is not the standard they remember ... it is the activity they remember. I enjoy it when going over a test and S says when did we learn that and another student states we learned that when we did this. #hacklearning
A3: I love the possibilities afforded by tech tools - @WickedDecent mentioned @Flipgrid, I think screencasting has amazing possibilities and is SO SIMPLE (srsly just try it) - but don’t discount the F2F contact of individual conferences. Have them! #hacklearning
A3 give students time to share, build it into the lesson plan when doing a project build in reflective time where they can share their learning and receive feedback for other Ss , also teach students how to reflect and give feedback #hacklearning
A2: As an IC, when I’m talking about an idea I got, I always give credit, for example: “This morning I was listening to the _____ podcast and they had a really cool idea about ___.” I try to intentionally do that so others can get new ideas for inspiration. #hacklearning
A2. Establish a family culture- know student interests bring in their passions. Learn, succeed and fail enthusiastically TOGETHER! Students need to be in driver’s seat of own education. Give them #voice and #choice#Hacklearning
A3. In addition to mind mapping, I think a critical component is time. Students need time to document, revisit and revise ideas so that they develop fully. This strengthens their purpose. #hacklearning
A3 for my Ss with very limited expressive language we have found Concept sorting (with picture supports) a very powerful way for them to reflect (and to share their insights with each other and me) #HackLearning
A3 Looking forward to integrating sketchnoting as an option for my Ss to capture thinking in progress, as well as classroom conversations. #hacklearning#StudentToolBox
Our school has committed itself to collaborative growth. Time set aside for Ts from different content areas and grades to connect around common theme. I am part of a DT group and our "jam sessions" are powerful. Inspiration, ideating, HMWs....#hacklearning
This is the exact population I struggled with most. Once a girl AND her mom cried because I didn't lecture for one particular lesson and did PBL instead 😬 It was a little ugly #HackLearning

I started having students 'present and barter' for their project grades. It's been huge to have a discussion on WHY certain decisions are made and how to critically look at their own work. #tlap#HackLearning#sunchat
A2 I find that restrictions can boost creativity - found poetry is a great example. Ss can only use the words on the page & often the writing that comes out of that is astounding #hacklearning
Join #HackLearning chat Jan 21 at 8:30-9:00am EDT when @conniehamilton will be guest moderator leading chat on the "hacky" topic of collaborative conversations.
I had a teacher do something similar to me. A.. T.E.A.C.H.E.R
Didn’t understand why the students weren’t taking notes from lectures / textbooks… Science standards don’t fit lectures. #hacklearning
#sketchnotes allow the teacher to clearly see what the students understand and how they are thinking about the connections between information. #HackLearning
A3: Metacognition is so important! I like the idea of using @Flipgrid and even letting students hear how others are thinking, then that in turn could be inspiration for creativity—getting it from each other. #hacklearning
Q3 When students express their intention behind creative choices they think more critically about their learning. How might we help students document their process in a meaningful way? #HackLearning
A3: Students need a model for this type of critical thinking. Start by showing them your process. Talk to the ethers, let them hear what happens in your head as you complete the exercise. #hacklearning
Q3 When students express their intention behind creative choices they think more critically about their learning. How might we help students document their process in a meaningful way? #HackLearning
I disagree. While they obviously don't state the words of the standards (doubt they would even know them), they do share their sentiments. I hear echoes of this one commonly: #HackLearning
I was so thrilled to have @MeadowSheldon's students in this the Success & Innovation Center this week; they often fit that profile; they experimented w #3dprinting & #cutprinting & all sorts of new ideas for them #hacklearning
