Hey #FlipgridFever, if you’re thinking “wow this gal looks really familiar, I swear I’ve seen her before” you’re totally right:
https://t.co/EeA0f6yGgd
I also have 90, and NO, I never have time to watch them all, so I limit them to 15 seconds mostly! I watch and listen as they work. Sometimes, I'll just go to the grid and put them on autoplay. If they submit late, I do have them send the link to Google Classroom. #flipgridfever

#FlipgridFever
a1 : launched a 9 school transition project where pupils can ask peer support pupils questions via @Flipgrid prior to moving to our school in September.. Approx 230 pupils part of project #FlipgridFever
A1. I finally presented Flipgrid outside of my school. Some high school world languages teachers caught #FlipgridFever. Bringing it to An EdCamp next week.
A1 (cont) I had a T, who is hesitant w tech, send me an email: “You would be so proud of me. I left a @Flipgrid video on the one you made annnnd...I also MADE ONE for my kids! I did it!” Smiled for hours after getting that. #FlipgridFever

Now my partner teacher in France has the power to provide feedback to my students and work with them directly. #flipgridfever@Flipgrid Definitely breaking down the walls in my classroom.
I love having (scheduling) random parents to "pop up" on @Flipgrid topics during class. The kids get so excited when they see a parent hop on! #FlipgridFever
A1: I love that @flipgrid allows you to move items from one topic to another. We did a Grid on figurative language, & as students made mistakes, I just moved them to the correct grid. They made corrections as necessary when listening to their peers. #FlipgridFever
That’s awesome. I love walking in the hallway during my planning and seeing Ss outside the class or in the stairway recording to other T’s grids. #flipgridfever
A1. Flipgrid + Vocab + Screencastify? Students relate to the vocab word by making a #flipgrid, THEN they make a “slide deck” in Google Slides and THEN they appsmash with @Screencastify to make their video “flash cards”. Recording flips and slides! #FlipgridFever

A2 The Flipgrid Explorer Series is HUGE in my mind when it comes to sparking curiosity. Also, connecting with experts through @SkypeClassroom is another great way. #FlipgridFever
A1: A recent @Flipgrid win was Ss taking advantage of the opportunity to redo their videos to improve their clarity, speed, volume, or content that they would be sharing classmates. #flipgridfever
Just in case you missed it...
Q2 Tonight's webinar focused on inquiry based learning. How could you use Flipgrid to ignite student curiosity? #FlipgridFever
A2: Genius Hour projects are great to ignite curiosity @Flipgrid is a great platform to share what Ss discover and accomplish. We called it Passion Thursdays #FlipgridFever
A2: Students draw questions/images etc from a hat/container etc. Ss have no idea what Qs are until they see them. They have to make inferences and connect to schema while answering their Q/ #FlipgridFever
A2 I use @Flipgrid to ignite student curiosity by having my ELL students participate in some of the Global Connections topics. Right now we are participating in the Explorer Series: Sharks. #FlipgridFever
A1 #Flipgridfever - Walking into our school and seeing the grid going on our TV in the foyer Ss K-5 expressing how much they love their school is a WIN!
A2: Flipgrid is great for Ss to show their understanding, but I can also see it as a springboard for sharing one’s confusion and then having others work through the confusion as a unit/team/class. #flipgridfever
Q2: My first @Flipgrid is an inquiry based lesson on who killed JFK. Should be interesting! I'm actually making it tonight, for tomorrow. 😬 #flipgridfever
A2: students can share questions they have and things that they are wondering about. Hearing what other students say can spark ideas and prompt new questions. Students can choose topics to research and share with each other #flipgridfever
A2: I think the @Flipgrid Explorer series is a great way for students to learn through inquiring about the different topics presented. We also use it for various steps in our #geniushour process. #flipgridfever
a1 : launched a 9 school transition project where pupils can ask peer support pupils questions via @Flipgrid prior to moving to our school in September.. Approx 230 pupils part of project #FlipgridFever
A2: I allow Ss to share their voice and spark their curiosity be creating cultural questions on @Flipgrid and allow the students to reply to each other. Then they are able to make cultural comparisons which sparks even more inquiry. #FlipgridFever#InquiryMindset@trev_mackenzie
A1: My latest win with @Flipgrid has been using the app to get students to reflect on their learning and what they need to improve on for their upcoming SLOs. #FlipgridFever#discoverPGCPS
A2: a perfect fit for using historical thinking skills! I’m hoping to build a “ask a historian” grid at the end of an upcoming unit, where students can leave their lingering questions for each other to research and answer.
#FlipgridFever
I also use @Flipgrid first to have the students make inferences on what they believe the vocab words are! Then we use slide deck to define the words and @screencastify to show how our thinking has changed. #FlipgridFever
In reply to
@educatoralex, @Flipgrid, @Screencastify
A2: Flipgrid could be used to spark curiosity by using the connections grids in the platform. Use the product to expand the product...my students don’t have opportunities to see things outside their little worlds, so just exploring helps with curiosity #FlipgridFever
A2: There are many ways to use it to get Ss to inquire; You could have Ss ask you questions or question each other! Possibilities are endless depending on what you want to do! #FlipgridFever
A2 letting the Ss choose topics, ideas, thoughts, and go where they need to. Best is asking questions of each other and suppporting each other. Makes me warm inside. #FlipgridFever
A2:Only saw 1 slide on webinar :( But love John Spencer's LAUNCH ? "think like a three-year-old," so made that topic for T training and book study groups. Also considering adding topics with links to Wonderopolis site for a “Wonder Wednesday” or something like it. #FlipgridFever
A2: T give students “answer”(whatever the topic is), Ss post questions that have the topic as an answer. Assess prior knowledge, gain interest #FlipgridFever
Inquiry could be encouraged by having students brainstorm about a topic to generate new questions. Then make suggestions to each other on how to narrow or define a question.
#FlipgridFever
A2: Now that my students are comfortable in front of the camera I would like THEM to begin learning how to REALLY ask some driving questions of their own. #FlipgridFever#alsoonmytodolist
A2: I have so much to learn about @Flipgrid! My curiosity is hightened. I’m looking forward to learning from @estew40 who caught #FlipgridFever at #METC18!
A2: Genius Hour projects are great to ignite curiosity @Flipgrid is a great platform to share what Ss discover and accomplish. We called it Passion Thursdays #FlipgridFever
A-2 I think creating inquiry is more about knowing your students and choosing the right fuel to ignite the curiosity, having said that, Flipgrid’s platform supports the ease and flexibility of turning that spark into knowledge. #FlipgridFever
A2: Ss have been given videos & photos that require them to investigate/analyze & make predictions on @Flipgrid!! Then, we go through the learning process to discover the answers! It hooks them in & sparks their curiosity! #FlipgridFever
A2: T give students “answer”(whatever the topic is), Ss post questions that have the topic as an answer. Assess prior knowledge, gain interest #FlipgridFever
A2: Give students a list of materials. Ss make an inference on what those materials can build via @Flipgrid.
THEN Ss build.
THEN Ss do another @Flipgrid to show how their thinking has changed. #FlipgridFever
A2: I ❤️ the IDEAS bar for INQUIRY!
1. Have an overall theme for your grid
2. students can explore, question and wonder freely in the ideas space about the theme!
3. Use their thinking to drive topics for further inquiry and discussion! #EmpoweredLearners#FlipgridFever
Just in case you missed it...
Q2 Tonight's webinar focused on inquiry based learning. How could you use Flipgrid to ignite student curiosity? #FlipgridFever
A2: I would love to see teachers use @Flipgrid more for predictions and questions students have throughout the novel. Document their learning and curiosity to spark further discussions. #FlipgridFever
a2.i have pupils to share what new skills they have developed in the unit of work we have studies, but also to identify another curriculum subject they could use these new skills in and how it can improve their work there. #FlipgridFever
A2: Class/Small group poetry.
Student 1 says a sentence and the next student has to say a sentence that ties on to that and so on.
Students/Teacher then use @Screencastify to smash the flip grids together and have a class / small group poem. #FlipgridFever
Posting videos, pictures of art or people, quotes, or links for Ss to respond to is a fun way to spark curiousity. I like to have Ss respond to quotes.
#FlipgridFever
A1 using @Flipgrid to host our #MLmindset Book Club for 36 amazing @FullertonSD Ts who are digging deep into @mrhooker’s Mobile Learning Mindset Book for teachers! My Ts are catching #FlipgridFever and having awesome convos about meaningful tech integration! 🙌🏼💚
A2 #Flipgridfever Book Club discussions are always good for Ss to use flipgrid at home and carry on their work from book clubs in school. Also I always use it in Science for Claims Evidence and Reasoning
A2: How could you not? As a science T I always have inquiry on the brain. @flipgrid allows students to talk through their process and brainstorm outloud. I cant wait to use it for lab discussion this week. #FlipgridFever
A2: I want to use @Flipgrid during our next research project. Post a question and students research to find the answer and share it in their video. #FlipgridFever
A3: Allowing the to have fun with their flipgrid! Give students feedback, ask questions to drive their thinking. Let them know that they’re the star! #FlipgridFever
A3: I always try to have the Ss “prepare” something and rehearse. I want them to think about how it should sound and the tone of their reading. #flipgridfever
A3: I love to appsmash with apps like @chatterpix and iMovie so students can create someone else to talk for them. Paper slides is another easy way for students to communicate idea without showing their face. #flipgridfever
A3: Ensuring they know it isn't an evaluative response. That you, as the teacher, want to simply garner their thoughts without slapping a grade on it. Even letting students record where they're comfortable is a huge benefit! #FlipgridFever
A3: Giving students the choice of how/where to do their recordings. We have “studios” (sitting boxes from Walmart), they can record in the hall, or at home. #FlipgridFever
Q3: I do a video as an example and make mistakes on purpose (they don't know it's intentional) to show them that they don't have to be perfect! #FlipgridFever
In reply to
@MrMerrillsClass, @Flipgrid, @sdtitmas, @FriendsinFourth
A2: Let students create grids that are focused on what they are passionate about. Students can use them as a forum to share ideas. When students are empowered they will strive for success. #flipgridfever
A3: To help build student confidence, I encourage students to write a script for their videos and practice with a friend they are comfortable with. I also make sure they have a solo area away from everyone to record in #FlipgridFever
A3 Students being comfortable recording goes beyond being camera shy. I think a major part is building rapport and having a culture of kindness in the classroom. #FlipgridFever
A2 #Flipgridfever Book Club discussions are always good for Ss to use flipgrid at home and carry on their work from book clubs in school. Also I always use it in Science for Claims Evidence and Reasoning
A3 I have some S's that are shy, I offer everyone a quiet private place to record they feel much more comfortable without anyone watching/listening. Better quality video too, in a quiet setting #FlipgridFever
A3: Making sure that we build community in the classroom first! There has to be a mutual trust between students to invite sharing online
#FlipgridFever
A3 Some of my ELLs are not comfortable sharing their work while others don’t like to see themselves on camera. I encourage my SS to cover the camera and record voice only, or to use the stickers to decorate their selfies. Some students have private grids. #FlipgridFever
A3: Allowing Ss time to practice and reflect on their work. Give the students the opportunity to re-record their responses until they are comfortable and proud of it. Help the Ss by giving them tips to be successful and model them. #FlipgridFever@Flipgrid
A3: I love to appsmash with apps like @chatterpix and iMovie so students can create someone else to talk for them. Paper slides is another easy way for students to communicate idea without showing their face. #flipgridfever
Q3- My ELs love being able to pause at any time during the recording. They encourage each other to pause for the "think" time and then start recording again. #FlipgridFever
A3: I think the basic positive classroom environment created by teachers is a terrific place to start. Students who feel respected and safe will love to share. #FlipgridFever
a3. for the pupils who are struggling with their voice being heard publically i initially dont activate their video. I can see them and they are happy with that. When confidence grows they then tell me they are ready for others to hear. Worked really well. #FlipgridFever
A3 Modeling and role playing how to respond to another student in a kind and respectful way. Providing a private place for recording. Letting Ss cover their faces if they are not comfortable.
#FlipgridFever
A3: Having to opportunityto record multiple times until they feel better helps as well as being able to use props or turn the camera are cool too. The more they are exposed the better...although you Ss are NOT camera shy 😜#FlipgridFever
A3 Building a safe sharing environment. It goes back to those relationships. Making sure all input is valued & guiding Ss to bring out ideas from each other. Sharing is less scary when the anxiety of judgement begins to disappear. #FlipgridFever
A3 Some of my ELLs are not comfortable sharing their work while others don’t like to see themselves on camera. I encourage my SS to cover the camera and record voice only, or to use the stickers to decorate their selfies. Some students have private grids. #FlipgridFever
A3: Allow Ss to record when and where they are comfortable, and to not show faces in the video if desired. For some Ss working with a partner helps too. #FlipgridFever
A3: students could have someone else - a puppet, a picture in Chatterpix, or whatever - do the talking for them. They can practice ahead of time, and they can always re-record! #flipgridfever
Hello #flipgridfever Chris from TN jumping in late! Been using @flipgrid 3 weeks and #WOW !! Using it in band to record individual playing assignemnts and then having students listen and critique their own performance and this is jus tthe beginning!
A3: This is the perfect opportunity to model and discuss proper use of technology. As far as confidence & comfort with sharing- Ss may want to observe before participating- @Flipgrid makes that possible! #FlipgridFever
A3: I always post as well trying to model what I'm looking for or just answering the topic. I let my students post in partners if its a public post. There are times I moderate topics depending on the subject matter. The Ss confidence grows each time we do this! #flipgridfever
A3: I assist Ss through their first few recordings & the let them go!! They choose their location & are encouraged to write down if needed! Also, I love that they can view their recordings before they post!!#FlipgridFever
I encourage my Ss to use the sticky feature on @Flipgrid so that way they are still looking at the camera when doing their recording. I told them the audience wants to see their face, not the top of their head. #flipgridfever@Flipgrid
A3 Much better success when @Flipgrid is started at beginning of year. Day 1 or Week 1. Set the tone that this is part of what we do. And share a not so great video of yourself. 🤣 #FlipgridFever
A3 - post teacher example, freedom to choose topics, and permit controlled peer feedback e.g., I asked my students to congratulate their peers 1st for trying something new and then to review the video content. #flipgridfever
Joining late, 9th grade science teacher from PA...@TroutEMSSci I was just thinking this same thing the other day and planning on emailing some science professors at local universities to see if they would collaborate #FlipgridFever
In reply to
@AdamShortShorts, @TroutEMSSci, @TroutEMSSci
A3: In the beginning if Ss are reluctant to video themselves then I trying coaching them through what they want to share. @ThinkingMaps help Ss structure their thoughts. #flipgridfever Recording something other than their face, like a book cover, drawing, etc. helps too.
A3: I think modeling and putting a video on there as the teacher is huge too. You could even record in front of them so they could see what you do to prepare. #flipgridfever
A3 I think making it a regular routine helps...amazing to watch kids who are very hesitant and shy...shining like the brightest stepparents a month later #FlipgridFever
A3 - post teacher example, freedom to choose topics, and permit controlled peer feedback e.g., I asked my students to congratulate their peers 1st for trying something new and then to review the video content. #flipgridfever
A3: My reading nook creates a private setting for my students to record their videos. It is a big deal because this is the only time they are allowed to pull the curtains shut. The privacy promotes confidence. #FlipgridFever
A3: I moderate their answers. If students struggled with their first video submission, I give them written and oral feedback and provide them the opportunity and time to re-do their work. #flipgridfever
A3: 1st they have to trust YOU and trust those they are sharing with; I've found that sharing in a closed grid helps them be able to share with a larger audience. 2nd they have to see ME sharing and showcasing and telling WHY it's important before they will follow.
#FlipgridFever
A2: Create a Ask an Expert Topic - Ss are free to ask anything they want about whatever interests them. Also works for a great follow up to an activity/lesson. I use the Ss responses to plan future lessons based off their curiosities. #FlipgridFever
I agree!! We started right away and I clearly modeled and discussed digital citizenship. I had lots of buy in from Ss and Parents right away. #FlipgridFever
A2: Create an Ask an Expert Topic - Ss are free to ask anything they want about whatever interests them. Also works for a great follow up to an activity/lesson. I use the Ss responses to plan future lessons based off their curiosities. #FlipgridFever
A3: I have found that modeling and then having them practice works well. Begin by reviewing some public speaking skills and having students write thoughts down first. Gaining confidence goes a long way for their success (and learning) #flipgridfever
a3 we have these amazing flipgrid green big headsets....the room noise is so muffled they dont realsie anyone else is about. all the worries of people watching and listening are removed lol #FlipgridFever
My students love recording with their pets. I have had some of them even record with their whole family and these are high schoolers. #flipgridfever@Flipgrid
A3: First thing that comes to mind is @Flipgrid. Being able to actually verbalize a thought that I can't immediately share with others is so helpful! It also gives learners (and us) time to think and process #AppleEDUchat
A2: My new STEM idea is to have "clients" post what their needs/problems are & my Ss then pick which client they think they can help best. Then they use the design process to design something to solve their client's problem. #empathy#FlipgridFever
A3: 1st they have to trust YOU and trust those they are sharing with; I've found that sharing in a closed grid helps them be able to share with a larger audience. 2nd they have to see ME sharing and showcasing and telling WHY it's important before they will follow.
#FlipgridFever
A4 since all attempts at answering a question are saved. Students can see how their response improves over time with feed back and feed forward #FlipgridFever
A4: Ss can use Flipgrid to reflect on their learning for a project, unit, etc. instead of writing it down. They can also use Flipgrid as the brainstorming or “madman writing” before they actually write down their ideas and reflections. #flipgridfever
A4 Student reflection is the bread and butter of @flipgrid. Being able to hear my Ss giving their opinions on all sorts of topics (ie. Global issues, articles they have read, novel reviews, etc.) is a main reason for my serious case of #FlipgridFever.
A4 Reflection is SO important! Students can reflect on their reading, their learning during a lesson, successes and failures, and so much more! #FlipgridFever
A4 it is a great place for reflection. Coolest thing was me showing them their August videos and how they have changed. Such pride..yes in HSers who are too cool to normally show it! #FlipgridFever
A3: I encourage Ts to give their students choice to record with a partner if they are feeling shy, or app smash using @ChatterPixIt , etc... providing sentence frames/prompts are also helpful, especially for my Ss that are ELs. #FlipgridFever 💚
In reply to
@MrMerrillsClass, @Flipgrid, @sdtitmas, @FriendsinFourth, @ChatterPixIt
A4: This is my absolute FAVORITE use if @flipgrid! Allowing students a medium to express their thoughts on what they learned, what they're confused about, or what they feel they could teach their fellow classmates about a subject. #FlipgridFever
A4: have students make inferences at the beginning of a lesson/task/unit and then make another response at the end of the unit to explain how their thinking has changed. #FlipgridFever is beautiful
A4: Ss present their projects on @flipgrid and provide links to their work. I like to have them provide feedback to their peers and Ss learn to reflect on their work as well as learn from each other #FlipgridFever
A4: FlipGrid allows Ss to record what they are thinking and get everything out...like a brain dump on video! They can then go back and listen to it and gain even more from it,further cementing learning in their minds! #FlipgridFever
A4: I’m a super reflective person so I’m always looking for ways for my students to reflect. Giving options to make reflection grids private or public/moderate them could help with them being more open to reflect w/o feeling like someone is watching #flipgridfever
@Flipgrid allows my French Ss to see their progress over the course of the semester. I ask Ss to go back and listen to their recording in each topic and then share how they have grown as a student and French speaker. The progression they see is amazing! #FlipgridFever
A3:Celebrate posts by REPLYING! Celebrate the small wins!
🌟it's a big deal to post for the first time
🌟Risk taking can be difficult
**Teach students the Praise, Question, Polish technique and they will give positive & helpful feedback that builds confidence! #FlipgridFever
Q4: With 3rd graders beginning high stakes questions, it can use it to help with restating questions and answering in complete sentences. Peers can give kudos and suggestions to help. #FlipgridFever
I agree. I have my 3rd graders prepare a writing piece (so they have a script) if it's an ELA activity or I have them practice their math on white boards before they present. #flipgridfever
a4. currently developing self evaluation for each unit of work. As teachers we mark as 2 stars and a wish (2 things you did well and one area to improve on) p
Pupils will respond with theirs but describe what they are going to do to improve in identified area #FlipgridFever
A4: I've used this in my PBL unit as they reflect on their 21st century skills (collaboration/ critical thinking/ growth mindset) I've also done it in reflection to books they've read and goals they've met or working towards (moderated of course). #flipgridfever
My students love recording with their pets. I have had some of them even record with their whole family and these are high schoolers. #flipgridfever@Flipgrid
A3: Love some of the strategies shared on Twitter -- @VirtualGiff had a graphic for those needing to ease into their comfort zone using @Flipgrid -- #FlipgridFever
A3: I gave students some cardstock masks (that just cover their eyes) they can decorate & use for some of their assignments if they want. #flipgridfever
A2: My new STEM idea is to have "clients" post what their needs/problems are & my Ss then pick which client they think they can help best. Then they use the design process to design something to solve their client's problem. #empathy#FlipgridFever
I love it for reflection because ideas are validated by peer response and by parents, grid friends and myself. Ss build confidence and are more willing to share deeper thoughts and ideas. #FlipgridFever
Q3: I let them decide how they want to show their work...alone, partner, record in hall/booth/under table, with props, @Screencastify, even with me! whatever they want 💚 #FlipgridFever
A4: I use @Flipgrid for book reviews, fluency reads, writing planning and revision, project sharing and judging. Could also have student work through math problems easily. #flipgridfever
A4: I love having my first graders record themselves reading their published writing prompts. If they can’t read it - I probably won’t be able to either! 😂#FlipgridFever
A2: My new STEM idea is to have "clients" post what their needs/problems are & my Ss then pick which client they think they can help best. Then they use the design process to design something to solve their client's problem. #empathy#FlipgridFever
A3: We created a little Flipgrid recording studio - & I build Flipgrid into centers so only a few Ss are working on it at a time. The corner nook helps them feel secure and confident speaking! Under the Ts desk is their 2nd fave spot. #FlipgridFever
OK I missed Q1-3, but for A4: previously I'd only used @Flipgrid for student opinion on topic/LEQ, or for a global collaboration, but this week I am using it for formative assessment by having students record main idea / key details from a passage they will read! #FlipgridFever
A4: I hope my students, who are in their early 20s develop confidence and learn how to tap and leverage their feelings in the creation of compelling marketing content #flipgridfever
A4: I love to encourage students to reflect on their learning or on lab activities. Describe the process and what they can change/improve if their results weren’t as expected #FlipgridFever

A4: Using @flipgrid for reflection allows students the opportunity to talk through processes, and connect with successes while finding solutions for failures. Sometimes verbalizing what went wrong can help untangle knots. #FlipgridFever
A3- Teacher modeling and instruction on how to appsmash are helpful supports. Flipgrid also has teacher resources that can easily be shared with families. Plus this flipgrid Twitter community is always creating and sharing resources that support students. #FlipgridFever
A4: I think it would be neat to have Ss reflect on their learning and then see how their thinking changes throughout the year. Could be a video portfolio! #flipgridfever
Using Flipgrid for reflection is like when you write it down. When you write, you learn again. When you record on Flipgrid, you hear again, you think about it, you reflect on it, and then a-ha moments occur! #FlipgridFever
A4 It is so important for Ss to think about their learning. @Flipgrid helps give those thoughts a voice. As a T, I know it helps me understand the WHY behind a S’s actions/assignments/questions, and then I can better guide the S in his/her learning. #FlipgridFever
A4: I think it’s powerful when Ss use @Flipgrid at the beginning of lesson/project and then respond at the end with a reflection! Full circle learning moment! #FlipgridFever
A3: I noticed that my shy students were more confident using @Flipgrid than my students who are more apt to talk/shout out in class. Wasn't expecting that!! #flipgridfever
A4: Ss reflection is critical in developing learner agency. Offer Ss choice in how they reflect on their learning @flipgrid can be the vehicle to store their verbal, written, sketches, etc. Used as an exit ticket it can offer formative feedback for Ss and Ts. #flipgridfever
A4: I’ve seen many educators in the @Flipgrid community model a response first and show Ss that it doesn’t need to be perfect.
I’ve seen many allow alternative methods of participating, including many @Savvy_Educator describes here: https://t.co/Ff0DnUrL7U#FlipgridFever
A4: This may be a bit of a stretch, but I had Ss reflect on what they knew about Literary Analysis. They had to start out with, “Literary Analysis is…” and respond with no repeats. I used the transcript feature afterwards & Ss wrote black out poetry from words. #flipgridfever
A4: @Flipgrid allows my French Ss to see their progress over the course of the semester. I ask Ss to go back and listen to their recording in each topic and then share how they have grown as a student and French speaker. The progression they see is amazing! #FlipgridFever
A4: I love having Ss use @Flipgrid for reflection! They will record videos of themselves playing music & then reflect on their performance 🎶 #FlipgridFever
A4: Every aspect of @Flipgrid is a reflective process.
💡Sticky notes- students reflect in WHAT they want to say
💡Recording, pausing, listening and re-recording - students reflect in HOW they want to share
💡Listening & responding to others - REFLECTION on WHY
#FlipgridFever
A4 #FlipgridFever My Ss use reflections on flipgrid to help them write their stories. They record and get their thoughts out then take it back to their seats and write, write, write! Its like magic!!!
A4: I love having Ss reflect after group work or activities. What worked well? What could have been done differently? What role did they play? Great after @breakoutEDU session! Also great for Ss to speak about struggles and have other Ss offer help. #FlipgridFever
Yes. I’m an introvert for many things, yet find that I love recording on @flipgrid. Perhaps introverts talk to the mirror more and it’s the same principal in their/our minds? #flipgridpsychology#flipgridfever
A3: I noticed that my shy students were more confident using @Flipgrid than my students who are more apt to talk/shout out in class. Wasn't expecting that!! #flipgridfever
A4: After observing @FriendsinFourth teach yesterday, I’m going to have my Ss use @Flipgrid to reflect on their learning... “So what...?” & “So why...?” #FlipgridFever
A4: It can play a key role in reviews for assessments. Each grid can have various topics that can be reflected on during a unit or at the end of a unit. It's like having an interactive study guide at your fingertips. Constant interaction and reflection! #flipgridfever
A4 @flipgrid can make such a big difference in #reflection! Brings in so many options for kids to share, process, & talk things out...with themselves. And it's an engaging way of learning about what their peers think, too! #flipgridfever
A4. Reflection is key for growth mindset. I love to ask students what was hard this week? How did you overcome and grow? How will you face you next challenge? #flipgridfever
That moment when you go to your daughter’s 1st grade parent teacher conference and her teacher has iPads in the hall for parents to watch their student’s @Flipgrid book review videos ❤️❤️❤️ And all the parents are replying to their kids 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
A4: I allow my Ss the ability to reflect on leadership books we are reading instead of taking "typical" quizzes. They can do grids whenever & they know they can give me their authentic thoughts. It's also easier for me to connect the reading to their real world.
#FlipgridFever
A5: Plan to use new co-pilot feature to encourage more Ts to integrate FG topics; may be easier for them if they feel they have more support. Also will add coteachers from Google Classroom to grids. #FlipgridFever
a4. some pupils are terrified of reflection/evaluation, especially those who have a low reading age or struggle with written work. Using flipgrid levels the playing field and allows teachers to hear what they are thinking. #FlipgridFever

A4: Most students are hams! But for those who aren’t, showing them I can do it helps them build confidence! Add your @Flipgrid response first! #FlipgridFever
Yup!! I just think sometimes, it's easier to express yourself through speaking. That's why we occasionally stop texting and "just call." #FlipgridFever
Q5: I am using it with a class I'm doing Genius Hour with. Both teachers have the same ability and they know that they can count on us both to respond and give advice for the next steps! #FlipgridFever
A5: Copilots allow for cross-district collaboration, making it easy for students to reflect and discuss various topics. Or, even take that worldwide and hold conversations in a foreign language , i.e. virtual pen pals. Plus, you don't even have to match time zones! #FlipgridFever
A5 As a Tech Integration coach this makes mentoring teachers using Flipgrid a whole lot easier. I can be a CoPilot on their grids to provide support. #FlipgridFever
So true. My son uses it for orchestra with @SprMill_Strings and each time he plays on @Flipgrid and listens to his playing, I see the wheels turning and his comments are so thoughtful and deep. He’s internalizing his playing. #flipgridfever
A4: I love having Ss use @Flipgrid for reflection! They will record videos of themselves playing music & then reflect on their performance 🎶 #FlipgridFever
A5 CoPilots opens the doors for collaboration. I can easily collaborate with colleagues in my school, district or across the world. It also aids me in giving support to Ts who are new to @Flipgrid. #FlipgridFever
A5: This has been a GAME CHANGER for our far-away penpals. Now both teachers can add topics as needed and can be much more spontaneous with posts. Before, I always had to add topics and moderate responses. #flipgridfever
A5 I work as a team with three other teachers. The oppurtunties just opened up! We can have cross-content/conferences/blogging! I’m excited!!! #FlipgridFever
A5: Started out as a @Skype collab, evolved into a @Flipgrid copilot project! VERY excited to collaborate with @Bmilla84 as we connect our classes to work on math and writing projects! #FlipgridFever
SO true, and their reflections can be so much richer verbally, in all kids, but especially in our exceptional groups, and language learners! #flipgridfever
A5: Its so great being able to have it for co-taught classes and for our Midmester classes so multiple people can collaborate on the grid! I've already got a co-pilot on my grids! So awesome!! #flipgridfever
A4. This is an amazing way for kids to reflect on lesson, topic, goals, etc. we are now using @flipgrid to reflect on @geniushour projects!!
#flipgridfever
A5: Woohoo a co-pilot!! Now my TBFF (teacher best friend forever) can help with responses! And it makes collaborating easier! @Flipgrid#FlipgridFever 🙏🏻
I have noticed that @Flipgrid has started to give my shy Ss more confidence and they are beginning to speak up more in class discussions and participating more. #flipgridfever
A4 It is interesting how full circle we have come. Face to face, phone, cell phone, texting, facebook, twitter, snapchat, skype @Flipgrid Back to the voice and the body language and the vocal inflection. Such important skills. #flipgridfever
It is so beneficial for the students! I didn’t realize this until I took a Language grad class and had to do recordings with my language partner and then reflect on my recordings. There is power in hearing your own voice and reflecting on it. @Flipgrid#flipgridfever

A5: I agree with @FriendsinFourth! Co-pilot feature will help Ts work together on projects while both Ts have control on the grid and topics. #gamechanger#flipgridfever
A5: Ts who collaborate can now support Ss on multiple levels. Allows Ss to stay engaged in what is happening in the classroom yet their learning is differentiated to meet their needs. #FlipgridFever
A5: I’ve already created several grids for #globalcollaboration learning challenges!! Ss from both classes create learning tasks for each other! Both teachers have access!! Powerful learning opportunities, relevant audience, globally connected= Why I 💚 @Flipgrid! #flipgridfever
Q5 The Copilot feature is HUGE for our classes where students have more than one T. It is also great for Ss in any type of cohort where the same set of kids see the same 4 core Ts just during different periods. Grids can go cross-curricular! #FlipgridFever
A3. I’ve also used @flipgrid as a peer editor- kids read their writing on the grid and then play back see if it’s what they wrote. Great for editing! Kids ❤️ it! #flipgridfever

A5: I might be able to use the @Flipgrid co-pilot feature with the bilingual instructional assistants who support some of the ELs in my class. They could provide feedback to beginning students in their language either orally or in writing. #FlipgridFever
A5: Started out as a @Skype collab, evolved into a @Flipgrid copilot project! VERY excited to collaborate with @Bmilla84 as we connect our classes to work on math and writing projects! #FlipgridFever

A4 Younger Ss have the change to verbally respond and ask questions. It opens up a whole new world for the "I think" and "I wonder" statements to get their reflections rolling on @Flipgrid! #FlipgridFever
Don't worry! @AdamShortShorts WILL give up his BIG Flipgrid Magnet and a 1-year Flipgrid Classroom subscription! We'll announce the winner in a few minutes! #FlipgridFever
A4: Reflection is how I 1st started using @Flipgrid My Ss love reflecting on the design process as they go through a STEM challenge. They share prior knowledge, predictions, creating in progress, tests, improvements, likes, dislikes, success, & failure. #flipgridfever
Genius! My students used to be notorious at reading stuff they didn't have on their paper! Their reactions were hilarious when I would ask, "Now, where is that written?" #FlipgridFever
a5 it takes pressure of teachers where classes/projects/working parties are co-led. if anything it will promote collaborations where it wouldnt have previously been considered. It also allows teachers from across a department to connect with classes they dont teach #FlipgridFever
A5: ✈️👩✈️👨✈️ allows my partner teacher and I to both provide our students with feedback and allow for even more global collaboration. I now have a classroom with no walls thanks to @Flipgrid. #FlipgridFever
A5: For our 2nd grade book club and for the #2ndchat#2ndslowchat it is great to have the Copilot feature. We can add and respond together and share the fun!! #flipgridfever
A4: I recently had my 2nd graders use @Flipgrid to reflect on their Gummy Bear experiment hypothesis and discuss what they learned using the scientific method..was their hypothesis correct or incorrect & what surprised them! #FlipgridFever

A6: This is easy because we have an advantage! @friendsinfourth because we are able to bounce ideas off of one another, collaborate, and communicate what worked and didn’t work - all while eating dinner! 💚 #FlipgridFever
You could do stations: @flipgrid being one of them. Also, normally I have several things going on in a project-based lesson that Ss can rotate out into the hallway and they know that only five go at a time. The others work on the other elements of the task. #flipgridfever
A6: My teaching completely changed after learning about @ronclark and his teaching philosophy. The End of Molasses Classes was my first professional ed reading and has led to following so many other great leaders like @mattmiller and @ClassTechTips#flipgridfever
A6: Without a question, @trev_mackenzie, @HollyClarkEdu, and @kellyihilton because they showed me how importantly is to promote student voice, make thinking visible, and allow for choice in the classroom. They have changed my teaching and I am forever grateful 💗 #FlipgridFever
a6. There are so many who have inspired me to want to be more and do more. They are the educators who do the things they do because they do it from the heart for the kids...its all about the kids. They know who they are! they are special to me! #FlipgridFever
A6: My biggest education inspiration is my sister @StacyJFarmer Not only is she an amazing person but she is a phenomenal teacher who inspires me, challenges me, encourages me, and is willing to do so whenever I need it! #flipgridfever
A5: I love how things flow between us & how we both have full access. It's sparked my excitement to go in & see new things added & my Ss do too! It's definitely adding value to modeling to my Ss how Ts collaborate too! #FlipgridFever
A6: I have a few...but I really admire the work of Marva Collins because she had sooo many odds against her working in an inner city school, turn opening up her own one room, multi-grade classroom. She made me realize what happens when passion meets purpose🤩 #flipgridfever
A6 @Twitter#PLN There are standouts who have paved the way and there amazing educators in the shadows. Proud of everyone for loving on kids! #flipgridfever
A6 My biggest inspiration comes from my SS. Many of them have life struggles such as language & economic difficulties yet each day they get up & come to school learn. Often after having worked the night before 2 help support their families. #FlipgridFever
A5- I think the new copilot feature really allows you to go global and make connections with people all around the world. I think it probably just knocked down the walls of every classroom. #FlipgridFever
Groups like these motivate me. I feel your energy this side of the boarder and I'm impressed with how you all are engaging in the K-1 space. #flipgridfever
A6 This is like being asked which of my children is my favorite! To trace it back to 1-Jaime Escalante. I ❤️ how teaching was his whole purpose for being & he believed 110% in his Ss. In Algebra, my T would let us watch Mr. Escalante teach math on videos she had! #FlipgridFever

A6: My former principal @LPerdaems, she believed in me, inspired me to be better, and pushed me to take risks and challenge myself. She was a great leader professionally and personally. #flipgridfever
A6: recently inspired by @m_drez and the amazing work he does with teachers and students. After seeing a presentation he did, I have made major changes in the way I approach teaching. #FlipgridFever
A5. We are actually using the copilot feature now;) @shelcags teacher from New York/twitter friend ;) our classes are collaborating in a booktalk - Wishtree is the book-we are taking turns developing prompts for students to respond ❤️ this new feature! #appsmash#FlipgridFever
