A7: This might be off base, but in order to practice teacher self-care, we spent time in our last staff meeting writing a gratitude card to anyone that staff chose. It was low tech..but modeled human connection and mindfulness. #MEMSPAchat
A7: I have done Breakout EDU activities, staff trivia, different WEB types activities that get my staff to laugh and learn a bit more about each other. #MEMSPAchat
In 2019 @MEMSPA is providing SEL professional learning opportunities for teachers and Admin. Along with Self care tools and supports. Look for it soon.
A6: SEL is a big focus for our school. We have implemented mindfulness, trauma informed care training, stressed relationship building, Class Catalyst-SEL 3 min student self check. We need to help teach our students to self regulate and deal with conflict. #MEMSPAchat
A6: This year, our new behavior coach and I are leading restorative circles with students. The simple format, which allows student voice, is a game changer. Students request them now to work though things. #memspachat
A7: We’ve taken blended learning and incorporated it into staff meetings. Many staff had training on how to do it in the classroom, our leadership team wanted to model it for all staff. Much more engaging and enjoyable. #MEMSPAchat
A7: I'm still using so many tools from last's year's #MEMSPA conference for Staff Meetings... Goosechase, Mentimeter, FlipGrid, Google apps, and the list goes on! #MEMSPAchat
