-
Howdy ! Robert King, secondary tech specialist, Louisville KY!

-
-
, my Buncee skills are lacking.
-
OK... I am going to restart!! Crazy tech. HOLD on!!
-
-
-
A2: I use composition books. I like the sturdiness and ease for storing.
-
-
Glad its not just me.. thought I was losing my mind.. I will retweet for my students.. so odd
-
Can I get a clarification of ISN?
-
A2: I use spiral notebooks and composition books for mine--depending on the subject
-
-
A1 We call ours an INB but we make many "mini" anchor charts on various skills/concepts in science, math, and ELA.
-
A:1 an ISN is an Interactive Student Notebook. For ECE putting AR Flashcards for letter and sound recognition
-
-
-
This was happening in a chat I moderated last night. Says link unavailable.
-
-
I have seen them called INB too.
-
We are ready for you, Pal! Check us out at https://t.co/6ZcxN6jf61 & sign up for a live demo.We would love to help.
-
That is a great idea!! LOVE IT!
-
That is a great idea!! LOVE IT!
-
You'll probably have to retype it yourself. That was our only solution last night. 🙁
-
A:2 I haven't seen this in a classroom yet. But would use a composition so pages cannot be torn out as easily for ECE children
-
Happened in too https://t.co/jEHnunoFkI

I call mine IB because I like to use a binder so it's just Interactive Binder. 😉
-
3rd Question Coming up next!
-
OK... I post via Something must be glitchy.
-
-
a2) I would use composition notebooks or folders might work well for storing quiver or chromville sheets.
-
Could you see using with the kids in a notebook?
-
A2: I would use a composition notebook for organizational purposes and to keep all of the sheets in the same place.
-
OK... Moving directly to Twitter ... hold on... might have to do a lot of retweeting.
-
A2: I would use a composition notebook for the purpose of allowing students to keep work organized in the notebook
-
-
I scheduled mine with Tweetdeck yesterday and some of same issues were happening.
-
I like that idea because you could use the covers and the pockets (ie.. flash drive, or stylus holder.)
-
the connection is great on Tweetdeck
-
I am actually using folders instead of notebooks. https://t.co/VCxh4mXQtd
-
-
a2) I would use composition notebooks or folders might work well for storing quiver or chromville sheets.
-
-
Yes, although visuals are around the room having access to hearing letter sounds when needed may help some children
-
-
-
-
A3: I have one for Reading, Math and Sciience,,,using them, well that's another story.
-
I see everything in & Tweetdeck ... Twitter seems to be lagging. https://t.co/vidF6If74o

-
the connection is great on Tweetdeck
-
: do you start with a number of pages? or just add them as you go? Do you use the ones with brads? https://t.co/8FwEkBAuTe

A:3 I think ISNs could be used in all subject. Would love to hear about people's resources!
-
A2 I like a binder. Put pocket tabs in for subjects. Ss can put unfinished work in pockets. I use front pocket for morning work.
-
-
I totally agree!! All Subjects!! https://t.co/FPTkvTk9K8
-
-
A:3 I think ISNs could be used in all subject. Would love to hear about people's resources!
-
A3: ISN could be used for every content area! I wonder where it is most purposefully used?
-
- 4th Question is Coming up next!
-
I also love that idea! A binder would be easier to add to. https://t.co/Gr97F86WIg
-
-
A2 I like a binder. Put pocket tabs in for subjects. Ss can put unfinished work in pockets. I use front pocket for morning work.
-
Kids like to use zipper pouches. I like but then it's hard to write on pages when they're on top of it.
-
-
In my room we have ISNs for Math, ELA, and SCI/SS/Health
-
We add them as we go. I do have them do Vocab at the back. https://t.co/2MqC9370wq

A3: I think it can be used in all subjects, but for ECE an emphasis on Literacy! I don't know many resources yet.
-
It takes time to adjust. I am on my 2nd year. My Ss on the other had love having them. https://t.co/PYjzdoGsck

A3: I have one for Reading, Math and Sciience,,,using them, well that's another story.

It is a time and issue and all we are to fit in that time. https://t.co/XhBPWkL4Mq

Yes, that also. And remove if ever needed. I like having all in one so no confusion or losing.
-
; A3, my resources are mostly found on TPT, and some Homeschool sights--I take ideas from Lapbooks. There are also books I use.
-
I would have never thought about using it for Health! Do you have one for health you like best?
-
-
-
, I use all 3 of the second grade ones put out by Carson Delosa
-
-
A4: For literacy, i would have them add evidence of learning through Augmented Reality
-
A4: could you have students add their own worksheets that involve AR activities they are most excited about using?
-
Before we move onto the next question make sure you fill out this form for a chance to win - https://t.co/En3Us01NHC

Your not old... I remember Laserdisc textbooks. https://t.co/s8cZ1xoEd4
-
-
a4) Am I just old does this remind anyone else of scanning in Laserdisc textbooks - Loved that!
-
I wonder if my EC students thought about AR in INB could be for parental involvement - tell them to scan with phone.
-
A3 Science, SS, Math, and ELA
-
A4: vocab and then 2 skill pgs per week, first one guided, the next, student created.
-
-
OK... something is way off in posting tonight! I wonder if the tech gods are having issues. https://t.co/7jOEDJHLu1
-
-
5th Question is Coming up next!
-
A3 A lot from TPT, foldables and like activities from resource books, , think up some ideas myself.
-
: The Students have their ISNs in their cubbies, There is flexablility for adding info as they feel they need to
-
What a great way to get parents involved!! https://t.co/afezfKINwF
-
-

-
-
Have to bow out early. Thanks
-
-
-
, I have friends who send parts home for coloring, etc. before adding it to the book. Saves time and parents see some.
-
A5: I would have ISN as something that could be sent home to help involve families with what their child is learning.
-
-
-
-
I think that's a great idea to keep parents engaged in what their child is learning and create conversation at home
-
6th Question is Coming up next!
-
A5 We store them in cubbies. They don't go home!!! They can bring to computer lab to use. That's as far as they go! 😉
-
-
A5: leave the notebooks in the classroom to avoid losing them, could send individual sheets home for involvement with families!
-
I store mine in baskets and they are color coded. https://t.co/YLoR44q8OX

-
We talked about doing something like this and doing a type of reading/response notebook. Maybe combine them all!
-
-
-
-
They actually do have some useful things in them! Haha
-
-
-
A6: yes, my students can use them for tests. I keep at least 3 pages for sketch notes, and cornell notes per ch.
-
-
-
-
I am working on getting my Ss to do Sketchnotes.
-
I wonder if you could include pictures in something like for send home.
-
A:6 Don't see many tests or quizzes in ECE. But would worry about it being a distraction to other students.
-
7th Question is Coming up next!
-
Physical paper of something on device? Love Paper53 on iPad for this.
-
OH YES!! You can incorporate and post content! https://t.co/YFoXO4VNx7
-
-
I wonder if you could include pictures in something like for send home.
-
I know sketchnotes should be organic, but I make charts to guide like when to use different shapes.
-
I need to find time to fit these in.. has a great comprehensive sketchnoting guide with examp… https://t.co/OyNgZsRdbm

I am working on getting my Ss to do Sketchnotes.
-
-
A6 Quizzes & ind wk, 👍. Can look up info in real world. FSA controls passing 3rd & can't use on it so not on class tests either.
-
-
I am starting with physical paper. My Ss need to grasp it before they sketchnote digitally.
-
-
I do not have devices for students--my goal is to one day have some ISNs on Classnotes https://t.co/WMHJgRiH7l
-
-
Physical paper of something on device? Love Paper53 on iPad for this.
-
I do not use with my Ss. I use Google Classroom, but it is the same concept. I post the trigger within it
-
We've seen some great results when Ss create sketchnotes as a review activity or summarize content
-
-
A7: I rarely grade them, they are a resource. If I do, students know and I give them a check list/rubric.
-
-
-
I do participation points. If they have notes on the topic then they get the points... no notes no points
-
I would love to see an example because we use googleclassroom for our class! https://t.co/kR5keSsWWG
-
-
I do not use with my Ss. I use Google Classroom, but it is the same concept. I post the trigger within it
-
A7) I might have students do self-assessments over them but I don't think I would grade them myself.
-
I will work on a blog post on that. ;)
-
grading is my ultimate downfall as a teacher!!! . I want people to have experiences more than differentiate.
-
-
-
Me too!! I also want them to show me what they've learned.. Sometimes it is more than I had planned.
-
-
-
What do you use for this? or is it a little more open choice of media?
-
I use all kind of tools, Google Apps, iMovie, almost any media.
-
, I will find my Microsoft instructor from last summer, she uses classnotes for her ESE classroom
-
I promised some great news...Are you ready or should I wait a little longer?
-
- 8th Questions is Coming up next!
-
Have you tried ? By far the best screencasting app - endless possibilities
-
-
-
Yes that is amazing.. I wonder if we should be doing AR on phone - with Computer
-
-
, I will have to check that out https://t.co/E3UuGlTjGp

-
The great news that I've been dying to share with the family is...
-
A:8 I think if you had the space it would be great to have a shelf for all of the past ones for students to continue to use!
-
-
You can pull the trigger into tools such as Google Draw and have Ss color/personalize them in that fashio.
-
-
-
A8: this is the first full year of ISN,
-
-
I may have my son try this out as he still has his from last year.
-
- 9th Questions is Coming up next!
-
a8) I love the idea of having old examples, but examples tend to kill creativity - and problem solving.
-
I just recently joined up with to head up their new ambassador/edu program.
-
I can't wait to share what the ambassadors are working on.
-
I will also ask my Ss if any of them still have theirs! I use mine from last year!! 😝
-
Our Math Ts save and pass on the previous years , which is why I asked.
-
-
-
I have that written down... double underlined!
-
We're super excited to announce pioneer has joined QuiverVision to head up our Education… https://t.co/Er3s9u9JZ1

-
I can help with connections. Companies forget about us Future teachers will change the world!
-
Maybe a rule kinda like the "3 before me" would help. This way it's there if they need it but not all they use.
-
You know how to get a hold of me! ;-) I look forward to working with them!!
-
- Thank you for joining us tonight! Continue the conversation using the hashtag and or by join the AR 4 Education group.
-
-
I have that rule posted in my classroom. ;-) My Ss know it by heart!!
-
Nice idea.. I really hate to show you guys examples, then no creativity!
