We chat every Tuesday night at 8:30-9:30 pm CST. All are welcome, especially EarlyEd teachers, leaders & experts. Co-founded & moderated by @techwnancy @JessicaCabeen & @VealHeidi
Good evening #ECEchat PLN! My name is Nancy. I am the very proud principal of Celina Primary School in North Texas. I am passionate about all things #ECE#EarlyEd#STEAM#STEM
Hi #ECEchat friends! Heidi here, #EarlyEd District Program Administrator in North Texas. I'm passionate about all things #PreK, leadership, #CodingInPk & #ECEchat
Anna, #NaturePreK Teacher from Minnesota, where I have decided the only thing predictable about the weather here is that it's unpredictable... :) #ECEChat
Hi, Katy here. I teach parent education all over the state of MN and most recently in Robbinsdale. I'd like to think I am a parent engagement specialist with a side gig of advocacy for all things early childhood. #ecechat
“To change the outcomes, we have to change the experiences.” – Dr. Sharon Ritchie. Get research-based advice from Ritchie on creating caring, culturally responsive #earlylearning environments for all students. https://t.co/yG2hMp98lG#edadmin#teachers#ecechat
When students can’t read, we teach them.
When students can’t write, we teach them.
When students can’t behave, why do they get put in the hall?
#TeacherMyth#ECEchat
A1: I just watched a @ConsciousD webinar with #RISDprek and it shared the great idea of making books to teach expectations for classroom routines with visuals. #ECEchat
A1: I think teachers automatically assume a student wants to act disrespectfully instead of understanding that behavior is often a reaction of not understanding how to deal with emotions/situations #ecechat
A1 We KNOW we are in the middle of the learning process of academics, but have the bias that behavioral has already been taught. #ECEchat Even though reality is that behavior is not taught to many of our Ss.
A1 Role playing is a great way to help young students understand behavior expectations! Always have visuals! Young learners want to please, but they first must understand! #ecechat#TeacherMyth
A1: We have to fully understand our personal biases, beliefs, and recognize that OUR behavioral expectations do not always align to each invidual child's cultural norms. #ecechat
A1: Whoa @aaron_hogan ! Bringing out the big guns right off the BAT! Great question! I wish I had the answer. In our classroom we try to honour our learners and address their behaviour problems as we do their academic ones. With dignity, differentiation and grace. #ecechat
We respond differentlybecause we are all different. When you set the expectation, you allow for the path to meeting it to be different for each Ss. We don’t all take the same path to get to the end point. That’s the beauty of it. #ECEchat
A1. Unfortunately, this image describes views about and reactions to challenging behaviors that are all too common. It's slowly changing, but there is still work to be done - and needs to be done with all stakeholders in schools, not just Tchrs #ECEChat
A1: Behavior before academics, but there is sometimes pressure to flip flop these two. Meet Ss where they are at. Give them time. Active listening. #ECEchat#TeacherMyth
A2: Our personal triggers are pushed with behavioral. Don’t take it personal, look at behavior as a learning tool and cry for help. Deep breaths! 🤗 #ECEchat
A1. Consistency in expectations across adults throughout the entire day (before school/during/specialists/after school) is huge!!! Without consistency, everyone has to work 10x harder to establish expectations. #ECEChat
A1: We receive far more training as Ts on how to teach and reteach academics. Behavior is viewed as an expected knowledge when in reality, it's far more specialized and requires much more constant retraining. #ECEchat
A1: We have to fully understand our personal biases, beliefs, and recognize that OUR behavioral expectations do not always align to each invidual child's cultural norms. #ecechat
A1 We all bring our own unique history to our classrooms. How you were raised is a driving force behind your response to all behaviors, the good, the confusing, and the confounding. It is a template and a constant work in progress to develop effective tools. #ecechat
A1 cont'd: I can teach behavior by laying out realistic expectations, modeling, and positively reinforcing when Ss meet these expectations but also reteaching these expectations and behaviors throughout the year as I see Ss need it, just as I would any academic skill. #ECEchat
A1: The truth is that when behavior and academics are addressed using the mindset that a skill is not evident in the learner so RTI applies...instructional approach to discipline wins...the definition of discipline is TO TEACH! #ECEchat
A1. There is an assumption academic expectations can be reached over the course of the year, but behavior expectations must be achieved on the 1st day. But can't do w/o building in time for relationships, modeling, teaching & reteaching, establishing the "why" for the Ss #ECEChat
It always intrigues me why we assume behavior is stagnant trait that will remain constant. I feel different every morning I am blessed to wake up and that impacts my behavior. Our students need to be afforded the same graces #ECEchat
A1 start by setting the tone day one. Students need to know the routines and expectations in order to feel that they are in a safe environment. Let them know you care! Students respond better to adults who are kind. #ECEchat
Q2: What do you do to get kids EXCITED about learning in your classroom? How do your connections with students play into that hook? #TeacherMyth#ECEchat
A2: It's pretty rare to come across a teacher who really gets to know her kids without those kids looking forward to coming to class.
Get to know your students. They'll feel like they belong in your classroom. #TeacherMyth#ECEchat
A1: We are all so different, but the consistency and coherence in responses will set up a better system and environment for Sts. Agreement and fidelity is key #ECEchat
It always intrigues me why we assume behavior is stagnant trait that will remain constant. I feel different every morning I am blessed to wake up and that impacts my behavior. Our students need to be afforded the same graces #ECEchat
A2 I'm fortunate that my sub lends itself to excitement and engagement. I love teaching a folk game/dance/song then leading them into reading the music and composing accomp. Also, with my littles, I use a puppet for things like echo singing that can be dry! #ECEchat
Q2: What do you do to get kids EXCITED about learning in your classroom? How do your connections with students play into that hook? #TeacherMyth#ECEchat
A1: I think a lot of times our academic expectations are much more clearly defined than our behavioral expectations. Maybe that's part of why we treat mistakes so differently in each area. Not sure... #ECEchat#TeacherMyth
A2: I try to do as much hands-on as I can but I also try to incorporate their interest level! I also join them in their activities, which they love having the teacher come and explore with them! #ecechat
A2: the teachers I’ve observed whose students are most excited about learning are those who are excited about it themselves. If you’re sold out to the topic, the kids will be excited too! #ECEchat
I love role playing for teaching expectations, but you are also right about the importance of modeling. If adults can talk when others are talking, why would Ss think that they shouldn't? Model and hold yourself to the same high standards we hold Ss to. #ECEchat
Q2: What do you do to get kids EXCITED about learning in your classroom? How do your connections with students play into that hook? #TeacherMyth#ECEchat
A2: Using popular games/interests of my students helps get them involved and excited about learning. I also believe when I show that I am interested/excited about the topic, they tend to show that they are also excited!! Be a good model for them! #ECEchat#TED9190
Complete agree! This is why community building and open honest conversations are so crucial! Ts are too frequently authoritarian, lack flexibility and student input. This is not to say Ts are not the adult in the room but that building norms shouldn't rely on one person #ECEchat
A2 If you know your Ss, likes & disliked, interest..., use that to your advantage and create hooks that appeal to their interests. #ecechat#TeacherMyth
Q2: What do you do to get kids EXCITED about learning in your classroom? How do your connections with students play into that hook? #TeacherMyth#ECEchat
A2: Hands on learning, critical literacy, culturally relevant teaching, & kagan strategies. When you're excited and engage with your students, they will want to engage too. Those relationships greatly impact their willingness to learn #ecechat
A2. As the principal-the kids love to laugh as I 'try' to teach. Never as good as the 'real' teacher-but they certainly see me take risks in the classroom. #ECEChat
A2: #Tlap I honestly believe we are such connected beings that if we aren't into it, they aren't. We must lead to be the change. Relationships and rapport are crucial to ensure trust and Sts wanting to engage in learning. #ECEchat
A2 The great thing about PreK is that Ss love everything! Their thirst for knowledge is just forming. Let them see it, hear it, taste it, smell it and touch it. Get in there with them too. It fun when your teacher learns with you. #ECEchat
A2: I get excited about learning and that makes my Ss excited! When Ss see that we/teachers are invested in them they become invested in learning! #ECEchat
One of the best nuggets I brought home from a workshop..."Where there's passion, there's retention" if they are laughing, squealing, jumping up and down, THEY WILL REMEMBER #ECEchat
A2: I love to use mystery & the element of surprise. Global/ community collaborations too! Contribution to our community in some way (like w/ our #KindnessCapes project) works wonders! Without proper trust, relationship it is hard to get them to buy in to these hooks. #ECEchat
A2 Take an interest in what the students are interested in. Incorporate their interests into the classroom and find ways to integrate teaching skills & concepts at their level. This all started with a S bringing a bird field guide to share. The learning is unstoppable! #ECEChat
#NaturePreK Ss heard another S talk about "indexes" & they wanted to learn how to use them too. When Ss are excited about learning & willing to take a risk, they are unstoppable! We covered indexes, table of contents, alphabetical order & number recognition in the hundreds #PLSAS
A2 I present lesson plans that I am excited about. Joy plus curiosity sets the stage for excitement. Plus, I teach in a room full of babies, they bring excitement every single time. #ecechat
A2: Pt 1- I keep a consistent schedule. Some of my Ss come from a lot of chaos. The clarity and consistency of our day builds trust and they are excited for what they know to be coming. It also makes surprises a lot more fun! #ecechat
A2- model the excitement! It will be contagious! Also get to know their interest. If a student likes a particular character or animal I will incorporate it into my lessons. #ECEchat
A1: Expectations should always begin with teacher modeling and consistency. Behavior expectations may be treated differently because these student struggles are more visible than those academically. #ECEChat
Motivation is everything! Before State testing today. He promised to give his best on the test and challenged the Principal to a jumping jack competition. P: 100; S: 120 we win win win @Masters_OPS@OmahaSupt@loganesquec
They do have some contagious, never ending energy at this age! My teaching experience was HS, but my 6, 4, and 2 year old have confirmed my suspicion that this was true! #ECEchat
One of the best nuggets I brought home from a workshop..."Where there's passion, there's retention" if they are laughing, squealing, jumping up and down, THEY WILL REMEMBER #ECEchat
A2: Practice what you preach! Be excited for them and with them! Find connections with student interests and learning is sparked and engaging. #ECEchat
A2: Pt 2 - I say good morning to every student I pass in the hallway every day. There are SO many students who rely on that acknowledgment every day. And its not just my kids, Ss throughout our building all know I will greet them. Relationships start small. #ecechat
Motivation is everything! Before State testing today. He promised to give his best on the test and challenged the Principal to a jumping jack competition. P: 100; S: 120 we win win win @Masters_OPS@OmahaSupt@loganesquec
A1: we should teach behavior strategies daily as a review so students can access them when they need them. My son does this in his class with the STAR technique and visuals are posted in the class #ECEchat#TeacherMyth
A2. Engage with the students always - inside, outside, during transitions, etc. It's easy to step back and just watch, or perhaps talk with other adults. Ss notice who cares and shows an interest in what they are doing. Show them their learning matters! #ECEChat
A2: I try to make real life connections for our Ss and keep lessons hands on, interactive & engaging. One of many benefits of being a play based preschool is that Ss get to make their own ties to learning. Building relationships enhances those connections & build trust. #ecechat
Q2: What do you do to get kids EXCITED about learning in your classroom? How do your connections with students play into that hook? #TeacherMyth#ECEchat
A1: I would say I have a tendency to focus on behavioral expectations. I teach my Ss how to be safe in the classroom. They learn it is OK to be frustrated, but how we can we work through those frustrations safely. We have more of a social/emotional approach. #ecechat
A3 I LEAVE MY ROOM a 2-3 times per day and check in with colleagues. I also volunteer for duties outside of my "area" (tutoring, committees, helping with other Ts projects/parent nights). I MAKE myself part of the team! #ECEchat
This is important. I make it a point to greet my S at the door daily, and when I see other S in the hallway. Trained an after school club on the importance of reciprocating. Now they beat me too it. Before I ask how are they, they ask me. Love it! #ECEchat
A2: I use many different techniques, they love the @StoryBots letter videos and they love the @LEGO_Group catalogs I put in the classroom library. Anything new in the classroom is a huge hook. Today I accidentally said, "boom shaka laka" and they thought it was hilarious #ecechat
A3 I LEAVE MY ROOM a 2-3 times per day and check in with colleagues. I also volunteer for duties outside of my "area" (tutoring, committees, helping with other Ts projects/parent nights). I MAKE myself part of the team! #ECEchat
A3. Break down barriers & walls btwn classrooms. Find ways to work collaboratively w other tchrs. I absolutely love my weekly lessons with a 5th grade class. I also work closely with my colleague that teaches the other section of preschool - we mix rooms, co-teach, etc #ECEChat
A3: My prof shared w/us last semester that as a teacher it is so important to have something you love to do outside of teaching. Find people who share your hobby and make time to have that outlet and community outside of work #ECEchat
A3: Connect with others! Whether it is your colleagues in your school, district or other areas! I find I learn the most from colleagues in different districts across my state! #ecechat
A1: Many teachers are taught to teach within a systemic competitive and student-unfriendly education environment. We need to take strides towards shifting the mindset to cooperation and restorative justice. #ecechat
A3: Twitter is my main go to! I heard this great quote once... 😉 It’s SO true! My #PLN has been my lifeline. Blogging and our classroom Instagram account also help me reject isolation. #ecechat
A3: Does anyone ever realize how vulnerable our Ss are every time they share their thinking? They want to grow and change. They want to learn, lead and excel. If we aren't seeking continual growth we're just acting for the crowd in our classrooms. #ecechat
A2: I incorporate S choice into learning. I also decorate the room and change my themes weekly/bi-weekly. I use engaging, hands-on/PBL/STEM lessons. I get to know my Ss individual needs and likes and use these to make instructional decisions. #ecechat
A3: It is a mind shift. It's difficult, especially when veteran Ts are good at what they do, it's difficult to trust the new way, but I personally have been on that end and learned with trust and trial, it is extremely beneficial #ECEchat
A3 Invite others in to see what you do; the more the merrier! No man is an island unto himself, so don’t take a boat to the island by yourself. #ECEchat
A3- Engage in meaningful convos with your Ts (not just negative rants), observe your peers, share your resources, talk about what worked for you and what didn’t, be passionate about growing in your craft, #ECEchat
A3: If you are in my building and need flip charts for your activInspire software, or need a technology resource, I'm the go to person. I also have my own go to people in the building for behavior questions, for learning center ideas...and so on #ecechat
A3. Have a mindset of OUR students, OUR school. Everyone benefits when everyone is engaged and involved in supporting Ss in the school community. #ECEChat
A3: Opps like @HSG_AZ, @TeachtoLead, and @NBPTS provide the ability to make connections with other teachers and build my PLN, my people near and far who I can reach out to on those days when I feel alone or need something. Super thankful! #ecechat
A3: Spending time with colleagues that have become friends, participating in our faculty book club, joining chats on Twitter. Reminding myself that there is no "i" in teacher...we are better together. #ECEchat
A2 The great thing about PreK is that Ss love everything! Their thirst for knowledge is just forming. Let them see it, hear it, taste it, smell it and touch it. Get in there with them too. It fun when your teacher learns with you. #ECEchat
A3: Intentional decision making and use of time. The 5 minutes you spend asking you team member how their cat is is worth more than the 20 copies you'll get made. #ecechat#justsayin#crazycatlady
I am a lifelong, card carrying, extrovert. Isolation is not an option if I am to survive. I am not at all afraid to reach out to people to get my needs met in or away from school. #ecechat
I agree! Twitter has allowed me to connect w like-minded educators. & even provide reassurance sometimes that I am not crazy (which really could still be possible ;)! Keeps you grounded in best practices & holds you accountable for not just settling for "it works fine." #ECEChat
A3: Teaching is no easy feat..it takes teamwork, hard work, and passion with a purpose! When you know and understand your purpose it becomes less lonely by supporting each other as we all fill our purpose @Masters_OPS#ecechat#teachermyths
When I was a teacher I was consistent with my students. They all understood my class was a place where everyone's opinions and suggestions were valued. I worked to build mentor relations with the students and their parents. They worked hard to meet my expectations. #ECEchat
A3: This has been my big year for trying to share more. I just joined Twitter in Aug. and am so glad I did. I also started a blog and am presenting for conferences. I am trying to share my ideas with staff members and invite them to come see what we were are doing. #ecechat
A3: Outside connections are vital. I love being a part of these chats! I may arrive late but thank goodness for hashtags that allow me to catch up! #edchat#ECEchat
We are definitely polar opposites! I am an introvert. The amount of socializing I do with Ss and staff is extremely exhausting. Even Twitter chats make me tired! But learning isn't a one person event. #ECEchat
A3: I believe together we are better. I try to work with my team so we can inspire others. I have also enjoyed team teaching for some units #ECEchat#TeacherMyth
A4. I learning from an incredible science team the importance of outdoor learning spaces. Would love to incorporate that more often into our school day. #ECEChat
A4: Honestly, I want a building with air conditioning. I want a bathroom in my prek classroom. I would like to have walls where things actually stay up instead of fall down due to poor climate control. We are in an old building and some of it is not kid friendly. #ecechat
Couldn’t agree more! Thx to Twitter I’ve connected and become friends with so many inspiring people, like you two, who I can learn from & with any time! #ECEchat
A4: I imagine a school where all teachers are obsessed with knowing the dreams, needs and abilities of their students & build their learning on these answers. Where we are always asking “why?” before “what?” A place where we ensure that we are ready to meet ALL students #ecechat
A4: Enhance learning environments including outdoor learning for all grades, especially my little ones. Allowing Sts to weigh in on campus decisions, learning, and enrichment, feeding passions and strengths #ECEchat
A4: indoor jungle room, dry-erase walls down hallways, outdoor learning environments, hApPy teachers with a bounce in their step, & kids that beg not to go home #ECEchat
A4 totally open ended; Ss could travel in and out of classrooms based on need and current academic level and when they are hungry they eat or tired they rest or curious about X, Y and Z then search out the T for it #ECEchat
A4: I would make school more student centered, project based learning, individualized, no dreams too big, full of teachers that love children, multiple forms of assessments including performance based, outdoor learning opportunities, and lots of play opportunities! #ecechat
A4. I dream of a school where the idea of Kindergarten isn't so stressful for families and students... Spring conference season has started & parents are sharing their worries/hesitations about K... It should be an exciting time for all. #ECEChat
A4 I would love to open up the spaces and change the traditional bell schedule to more of an open schedule, Ss choosing where to spend time on certain days #teachermyth#ECEchat
A4: What I wouldn't do for a playground or grassy area! The big blacktop is "so boring" with "no fun challenges" as one of my Ss stated a few weeks ago. #ecechat
A4: I imagine a school where all teachers are obsessed with knowing the dreams, needs and abilities of their students & build their learning on these answers. Where we are always asking “why?” before “what?” A place where we ensure that we are ready to meet ALL students #ecechat
A4: More opportunity for play based learning mixed with academics. Facilitated play leads to greater oral language skills and teaches kindness and empathy in real time. #KidsDeserveIt#ECEchat
A4: More hands on learning and providing a variety of learning experiences. More mental health support to help students of trauma and that need emotional support. #ECEChat
A4: indoor jungle room, dry-erase walls down hallways, outdoor learning environments, hApPy teachers with a bounce in their step, & kids that beg not to go home #ECEchat
The closest park is a 10 minute walk from the building. We go 3-4 times throughout the year but admin doesn't like us being that far away with no access to restrooms, shelter. etc. 😕 #ECEchat
A4 I dream of schools where parents always have a space to learn and connect. Parent resource rooms, parent library, parent support, parenting classes with parent educators in every building. #ecechat
A4: A high quality education for every student regardless of the walk of life, non traditional family, invisible backpacks brought each day to school #ECEchat
Aaron-watch out they grab you and help you along the way! As a former secondary admin I am grateful for their leadership and passion everyday! #ECEChat
A4. I dream of adequate amount for all staff (including support staff) to team regularly around supporting and meeting the needs of the students. Essential for prevention and student success, and eliminates the breakdown of supports in the middle of the year... #ECEChat
A5: Greeting them in the hallway as they are coming inside in the morning. Playing with them at recess and also saying goodbye to them at the end of everyday! #ecechat
A4: I would incorporate ways we can better cater to what Ss want to do with their lives. For example, I have a S who wants to do be a video game animator. What do we need to help him be successful? He needs to be able to work with groups, accept others' opinions, etc. #ecechat
A5. Engaging with Ss during choice time, checking in, showing interest in what they are doing, giving them a chance for small group or 1-1 interactions with the teacher #ECEChat
A5: It's cheesy, but it's when they first walk in the door, saying good morning, asking about their weekend, and checking in on them. The best compliment is when parents say the kids ask if they can go to school on the weekends. Even those kiddos who struggle love school #ecechat
A5: probably nap time 😴 just kidding! From my experience, recess and free play time is a great time to connect with students! Also letting them come up to your desk in the morning to share with you for a minute what’s going on is a great way to connect! #ECEchat
I know that there are places that have combined assisted living homes with preschoolers and seen benefits. Imagine if a community college (of sorts) combined with an ECE center so that parents and children went to school in the same building and shared common spaces..? 🤔#ECEchat
Ages 3-8 are critical formative years. Learn ways to optimize #ece experiences for disadvantaged students during our free webinar: https://t.co/yG2hMp98lG#ecechat
A5: As soon as I see a S whether greeting while arriving, passing in the hallway, really, any type of face to face time including learning moments #ECEchat
A5: I greet my students everyday with a handshake, high five or hug. We also have 2 scheduled class meetings (sometimes more) each day. I hang out with them several times throughout the day and we just talk. We end the day with a handshake, high five, or hug. #ecechat
A5 The small moments of hugs and understanding eye contact and patience in problem solving and truly caring when they feel sad, mad, glad....the small moments build big memories for Ss AT ANY AGE #ECEchat
A5: Oh man, GoNoodle has been a game changer. I do not work during our daily dance break, I put in WERK with my kiddos! We sing, laugh, and move together. Sharing music has amazing bonding opportunities. #ecechat
A5 Center time may be my favorite time for student connections.. but whole group, small groups, recess etc are all great times to connect, you just have to allow yourself the freedom & time to connect! #ecechat
A5: community service allows for a daily Time to connect and reinforce the innocence of children while at the same time holding students accountable for their teaching and learning of being their best for themselves and others #ecechat
A5: Sitting down with them at lunch or recess and just talking about whatever is on their mind. I also show them my family pictures to connect with those who are more hesitant. #ECEchat
A5. I end the day overseeing an optional extended gym time. Allows me to refill the bucket of Ss who may likely have had challenges throughout the day (these Ss tend to choose to stay in the gym). I'm tired by this point in the day, but it's worth it. #ECEChat
A5: Having lunch with my students, is a great way to connect with them and have conversations with them! It's amazing what you can learn from them! #ecechat
Bummer! I know a lot of programs end up doing this regularly due to lack of green space. If you are interested in some connections to see how they overcame administration barriers for these same reasons, let me know. #ECEChat
A5: grab hold of the moment when a student reaches out to connect. I’ve had karate talk every morning for a week because one of my friends started his first ever activity. #ECEchat
A5: In kindergarten our morning circle time, small group instruction, snack time etc. Student interaction happens all day, everyday. The best interactions happen when we take the time to truly listen and respond to our Ss. Always putting Ss first. #ECEchat
A5: daily I learn so much from and about my Ss by eating lunch WITH them and having soft starts to allow for time to LISTEN. I also 💕💕 to celebrate Ss through Brags and @DrJeanforkids cheers 🙌🏻 #ECEchat#TeacherMyth#RelationshipsFirst
A5: Also, I have a really giant personal rule for myself about when I first see students in the morning, I greet them with a smile. People underestimate how a simple hello, ______, it's good to see you today - with a giant smile can make a young child feel at ease. #ecechat
A5. Find ways to say yes to requests from students to play, eat lunch, read a story, etc. It matters to them. Especially when Ss are part of a full day (7-5:30) program - they need their cup filled and these small interactions with adults are important. #ECEChat
YES! Every morning if a student walks in after the morning bell and I did not say the traditional good morning I always say, "Good Morning _________, I'm so glad to see you today!" I've caught a lot of little smiles from it. #ECEchat
A5. Find ways to say yes to requests from students to play, eat lunch, read a story, etc. It matters to them. Especially when Ss are part of a full day (7-5:30) program - they need their cup filled and these small interactions with adults are important. #ECEChat
I love this! Consistency and routine is huge! Our students need it along with us as adults. I love having a pretty “strict” routine. Otherwise my mood/day is thrown off. #ECEchat#ted9190
A5 Daily classroom meetings (going over the agenda, giving compliments, discussing rules) can be helpful in getting to know students in a casual setting. I like that the conversation doesn't feel forced when we engage this way #ecechat
A6: This question is just not possible to answer while trying to finish up your second and final year of grad school! It's been two years of learning new things. I'd like to read a book for fun or not have to do online classes during a family vacation! #ecechat
A6 how to balance work, grad school, one going to college and another starting HS😳 Enjoy the moments, they are gone in what seems to be a heart beat😢 #ECEchat
A6: Wow! After tonight I want to know more about different community service projects you have used in your classroom to help enhance relationships. We have done a few, but I would love more ideas!! #ecechat
A5 Recess & lunch - chatting with Ss in a relaxed setting. Before and after school, I love see current and former Ss as they come and go. A hug or high5 goes a long ways! #TeacherMyth#ECEchat
Oh goodness-#HackingEarlyLearning is out this week! next week's chat will be a theme from the book...stay tuned to see what topic will be first! #ECEChat
