A 6 Teachers have the power to get kids involved and to impact positive change. Itā€™s OUR job. Even something small helps the child to see that s/he is important and has a voice in this world. It all makes a difference. #AppleEDUchat
  • mstechgoddess Jan 15 @ 9:54 PM EST
A6: incorporate math! Look at data and statistics! Our students are currentlycomposing music are are asked to put it on a social platform to get feedback, views, likes, etc.- then we can take and analyze and compare data! #AppleEDUchat
  • dgoble2001 Jan 15 @ 9:54 PM EST
Provide real-world projects. Connect w/parents in different industries to create projects which involve our lessons. Connect the dots to an end product. And finally, IMHO, create video! Itā€™s easy to share, fun to produce, & can show great comprehension. I can help. #AppleEduChat

A5 Education isn't about school. It's about the world. How do you connect kids with the world? Field trips, books, collaboration... and of course, technology! Curiosity and empathy expand when kids hear others' stories and perspectives from near and far. #appleeduchat

A6 we can make them see that the world is a much larger place than where they live and go to school. We can show them that the world can be a kind and welcoming place through our own actions and behaviors. #AppleEDUchat
  • bwphillips70 Jan 15 @ 9:55 PM EST
A6: we can let students see the world with an open mind. I want students to have tolerance and understanding of everyone no matter where they are from or what they believe. They way to do that is to expose them to the world , not a small circle. #AppleEDUChat
  • iTeacher5th Jan 15 @ 9:55 PM EST
A6: building that culture of taking risks and where students feel comfortable to ask questions. Be honest with students. I always loved CNN student news as a classroom teacher. Make sure not to just discuss but how can we help and act. #AppleEDUchat
  • WickedDecent Jan 15 @ 9:55 PM EST

A6 Work some questions into your teaching repertoire: Why should we care about this? Who else would care? Who is affected? Who is included? Who is left out? What do others think, and why? How should things be? What can we say? What can we do? What can we create? #appleeduchat
