Q4a and Q4b) Highly recommend Penny Kittle's Book Love. It's life-altering! I'm actively involved in the Literature Festival each year, sponsored by The Writing Conference. Kids and teachers read ahead of time, come, meet authors, etc. It's amazing. #moedchat

Q2a) I've heard of many teachers using Book Love for a book study with a department or even schoolwide. It's more for MS or HS. They use it to radically change the way they do reading instruction... #moedchat

I have my Ss doing the “20 Book Challenge”. 40 seems way too lofty. Most have embraced it. I have it separated into genres to introduce some variety or I would have every boy reading all of the Diary of Wimpy Kid books. #moedchat
