Making it obvious every day, making sure every student is greeted personally from car line to hallway - actions proving words daily. Also inviting community in on a frequent basis. Their school. #bfc530

Good question ! Well I would start somewhere with a convo. But knowing myself, it would include me drawing stick figures and maybe animating them in a video #bfc530
I'd do this in a super simple way--signage everywhere in the school logo that encapsulates the vision. Great for Tshirts, flyers for programs, use on the website, etc. #bfc530

#bfc530 My #school would be about #student interests and strengths as the starting point. Build upon my interests, rather than pointing our my weaknesses.
I would want as much teacher and student input as I could get. What form that takes would depend on size of school and number of Ss. Large discussion, small group brainstorming, twitter chat. I'd want everyone to feel like it was THEIR vision #bfc530

In my awesome school teachers would have equal planning time to teaching time and PD would be integrated into that time. Targeted, focused, and mandatory PD. #bfc530
With social media and smart phones, things spread quickly. I would want my school to be connected. Maybe a dedicated person on staff to push out news frequently. #bfc530

I've always loved this idea - grouping by ability, not age, allowing kids to collaborate based on skill level. Also, no smokestack subject areas - everything mixed together so kids can do math WITH lang arts and science all mixed together. It's how life is! #bfc530

This is so important! Taking the time to get honest, shared input is the first step to a true vision. It takes more time to do, but the result is well worth it because the vision creates the cultural pull. #bfc530

I was wondering if students received micro credentials if that could work. Depending on how many you had would determine your grade level. Similar to high school credits but smaller tasks required to earn them. Like have a multiplication facts credential. #bfc530
