R1: Was very impressed with Buddy Berry’s Keynote. First time I’d gotten to see him. It was also refreshing to hear from some new voices on the circuit like our girl @VirtualGiff who closed out Day 1 @AppleMania2018#INelearn
As a former Tech Coordinator, I LOVED when @suptdrmccormick said “ Show me an innovative district and I’ll show you a Tech Director helping lead the way “ ( or something like that!) #INeLearn
R2: I learned to how to co-run a conference with some of the greats like @techyashley & @CYoungEdTech - I’ll miss all the reflection since I’m no longer part of their cooperative. #INelearn
R2 My ‘aha’ doesn’t usually involve tech. It involves re-energizing myself while being surrounded by like-minded Ts. I love talking to people, hearing their stories, and sharing ideas. THAT is what #SOEL is to me. #INeLearn
R2: We always hear students want learning to be relevant- I saw so much evidence of this all over the Summer of eLearning this year! When we allow for curiosity, passion and creativity-true learning happens! #INelearn

R2. Have to go back to @desautels_phd on this one too. When she showed/told us that kids’ brains who are neglected as babies literally can’t make needed connections to learn, it made me a whole lot more sympathetic to those kiddos who need extra support in school. #INeLearn

I’m reading “Help for Billy” right now as part of my capstone project for master’s work. That’s what it’s all about. I would love to see more chatter about this in the edtech realm and how trauma affects the whole child. #IneLearn
Q4: What would you tell a colleague about SOEL events to encourage them go or present ( or tell another state so they would start them! I don’t know of any state that has SOEL like we do!) #inelearn
A4 I think I'd tell another state to start small and see where the experience takes them. I always tell colleagues to just show up, sit back and don't blink! It's worth the trip to one #INelearn
R4 That they are energizing, inspiring, and FUN. They challenge me to think deeper and better for my Ss. They provide opportunities to network and meet others who desire the same things as you! #INeLearn
R4: SOEL is an excellent way to gain new ideas, refresh your teaching, build your PLN, and hear quality motivational speakers. You miss it and your students miss out. #INeLearn

R4: I've told many, many people about the fact that we get to see (inter)nationally known speakers for a nominal, even free amt, with great sessions led by many Indiana Ts, free parking (& maybe even lunch). It's quality and quantity. #INeLearn
The coach collaborative group #eleadNWI plans the evillage conference with my district. They are amazing people and we all feel very lucky to have each other. The conference wouldn't happen without them. #Inelearn

R5. I agree with @csstone1161. A focus on student AND teacher trauma would be amazing. There are too many important issues that Ss and Ts have that can’t continue to be ignored for the sake of test prep and standards. #INeLearn
R5 It’s hard to get to many of the earliest events due to our last calendar day. I have a hard time committing to present early because snow days are always possible. #INeLearn

I know!!! I took a break last year and only presented at one #SOEL event, but I’m ready to rock the summer again. My PD days get expended due to HECC and other prof. responsibilities. So many choices and not enough time. 😂 #INeLearn
Have seen some great ignite talks back to back in the lunch hour. Giving teachers the workshop lead is empowering - after 6 years we have some rockstars who deserve to be on the main stage. #INeLearn
It definitely would be an ordeal, but it would be incredible. Presented at a flipped classroom conference once and people could see a live video stream. They had it for a fee at that time. Student groups doing that would be awesome. #inelearn
