A new c’room would be one that was indoor/outdoor and had the kind of space el kids have that ms gets taken away - room to move, gather, conference, etc. A content class - would love to see a period specifically designed for genius hr/passion projects for every kid #bfc530
I would design yearlong curriculum that allowed voice and choice on big ideas for .5thgraders. Problem solving. Philosophy.Probably have service learning components. #bfc530

Several years ago hubs and I were the only two teachers in a k-8 one roomed schoolhouse. He ran a small engine repair class w them all. If I could do anything w my Ss I’d want to do a class like that. Relevant impactful and hands on. #bfc530

I would design a content creation and brand management class. Project-based class where students would have to create content (blog, podcast, YouTube or Twitch channel, etc.) and create and manage the associated social media and promotion accounts. #BFC530

My class would be entirely outside, with a greenhouse wing to survive the weather elements. After being indoors all day, students love nothing more than the freedom, space, fresh air, and serenity of the great outdoors. #bfc530#ddestem

I would look into DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP as a requirement with a follow-up on how students continue to meet these standards during their HS years.

I would do this fir theater production. Wonder how I would reach the kids who weren’t into theater though. How would you pull the non- sports enthusiasts along? Or would it be elective for your grade level? #bfc530
Mine would focus completely around novels and the art of writing fiction - devouring the words and learning the craft. Kids would enter and just lounge out comfortably to be absorbed in books, or sitting at pods with a warm cup of something tapping away on a story. #bfc530
I’d bring back home economics to teach basic budgeting, home repairs, sewing, cooking. You can take these separately in some schools but I meet many Ps who never had such classes. #BFC530
Your own classroom bathroom is so important ... gives you the opportunity to trust your kids ... it is a big deal for the kids to make the decision to go to the bathroom without asking. Makes school feel less like prison #bfc530

I don’t even feel guilty ... landed a great Sub ... kids are working on their children’s books ... perfect day to take a step out ... of course I will end up doing some essay reading. #bfc530

We will probably race at the end, once we eliminate the ones that sink. Also, most students will be novice paddlers, so a race may take too long. I will have 4 different classes on the water, so we shall see. #bfc530

The students have free reign. The only requirements that I have are that they must fit through my classroom door, all students in the group must fit in the boat individually, and the boat must stay together during transport to the lake. #bfc530
