A2 Love that even the kids who "can't draw" can create professional-looking products.
A2-allow the students to choose which Google app they want to use for research, presentation, etc.
A2- Why not have kids create their own adventure in slides?
(I grew up in Kaufman. That's east-ish)
A2 FREEDOM to create different genres of products via different gafe is so important to S
assume you are using Google Drawings for that? Or what other tools might I be missing?
Ya'll I would like to make a public announcement- my husband is lurking tonight! ;)
TCEA presentation proposals are being reviewed as we speak, THANKS to all who submitted session ideas!!!
Personalized learning and choice are so important! https://t.co/7DWxDreMxo
A2 FREEDOM to create different genres of products via different gafe is so important to S
A2 offer so many options! Ss can create a wide variety of products. Let them choose the media.
Draw, and LOTS of Slides. We are MAD about stop-motion animations using GooSlides. It's an addiction.
share some Google wisdom with us tonight if you can?
A2 All about freedom of choices borrowed idea from
ah yes, Slides is always good. I have not messed with Stop Animation with it though, got a new idea to play with!
A2- it gives the students the opportunity to take control of their learning. I am all about that!
I have a presentation on the topic I'd be happy to share, from TXGoo16 last month.
We were at too! https://t.co/Pwr8Qhw5L3
I have a presentation on the topic I'd be happy to share, from TXGoo16 last month.
I could so see using this in Sci or Soc. St.
if willing, please share here, it will allow others to discover it through our group resources. Id love to see it
absolutely! Can use it across all content areas!
I know. I was in one of your classes, eating lunch and learning about augmented reality.
A2: We can use to spark creativity by giving students assignments with different choices to use https://t.co/hYmjiB5Usf
Well, that's AWESOME and makes me happy! Glad to connect on Twitter! https://t.co/azdGvYuMPR
I know. I was in one of your classes, eating lunch and learning about augmented reality.
A3: We do a business project of all of the businesses in town, we use google docs to collaborate on the project..
A3 Movies of fractured fairy tales. Used doc, draw, slides and wevideo.
Q3 multi genre research projects. Multiple genres used (drawing, videos, cartoons, poetry, newspaper etc) all w Google

I need to know more about this!
Q3 My Ss use a variety to explore aspects of literature...pov, characterization, setting, theme, etc.
A3-We use quite a few for our Passion Project. S get to choose what they want to use to present. Many use Slides
its the best part of taking some time to chat. Steal an idea or two and make it your own!!!
So glad to see choice is a recurring theme tonight!

A4) My students are making ebooks, slide presentations, and collaborating on docs to spark creativity! https://t.co/nEqEitkCRk
A4 Active monitoring. Get up and walk the room. Also, is awesome.
A4-Can I be as brave as to say "I don't know and would like to see some of your ideas?"
If the activity is "easy to cheat on," maybe it's the wrong kind of activity.
A4 part of teaching 2 use other sources is also teaching to cite. Also, most choose different topics/sources/tools
A4- Use revision history, take advantage of Classroom to manage assignments. you can also check out the draftback extension
A4: Get out of my head Shelly! I love ... Also check the history
A4 preparation up front is one way to reduce cheating. Also create lessons that foster collaboration, rather than cheating.
Another hug for ! Love them!
BINGO! I like the way you think Joy. Glad to have a new person to follow in my PLN!
Can I LOVE this! Great comment Joy! https://t.co/NFBU9saEye
If the activity is "easy to cheat on," maybe it's the wrong kind of activity.
Create engaging work for Ss that inspires them to collaborate in a productive way.
A4 I loved our trial. Also, each member of the team logs his/her activity.

I teach English 10/11 but in California 🌻🌞
A5 Labs in email, Calendar are really handy. Simple things like having a calendar open on side of email window are favs of mine
A5: (I think this applies) I like Google Translate, especially when Ss are working on cultural assignment.
A5 Google Tone. Sharing a URL is simple. Is that a hack?
Remember Tots and Technology conferences are great to attend. Galveston June 12-14 and Frisco July 24-26 https://t.co/jOZHnH9UuL
the phone app for translate is REALLY good!
Design work that isn't googleable. Create work that promotes higher level thinking & problem solving/reflection/trial and error.
I am very late for ❤️ I will read tweets though. Sick child today!
you have pulled in a Californian to the chat. Love when we expand! https://t.co/AGDtvHDgIi

A6 Yes!!! Google sites!!!!
A6: On a happier note, I'm excited that parents are going to be included into Google Classroom.
Just started playing around with on google docs and it's awesome!!!! 💕
It's so lame compared to everything else and not user friendly.
A5 I use the empty slots in the Chromebook cart to take attendance.
I have actually used that with some ESL students in the classroom!
A6 Google Slides auto present and repeat. More options in Draw.
A6- I think we need to figure out if Keep, Google Save, Spaces are all going to be separate things?
I feel like they should be integrated into one thing!
when I was in the classroom I did too, but that was before it got as awesome as it is, and it was still good then
yeah that and their messaging apps need to morph into one.
I agree. Pretty much all do the same stuff.
Trying to find something comparable to evernote, I think... Too cumbersome right now. IMO
Mrs. Godsey! So happy to see you! Are you using participate?
Exactly! That's why I don't have my Ss use it.
Thursday November 10th, Save the date for 2016 LITE conference at Region 8 ESC. Presenter calls will go out later this summer
