A2: I haven't been coaching long enough to answer this well. I just hope that I add value to our school and district by being a resource and positive voice for T's & S's. #educoach
Do you sere more than one site? I am full time at one school and I love it but I wish I could find more ways to know, see and celebrate successes across our district. I think it would support the culture of coaching throughout. #educoach
A3: Our principal is encouraging and urging teachers to visit with the instructional coach when planning interventions, instruction, and so on. She is really being a champion! #educoach
A2: When my team of facilitators began learning to be coaches, I found a mentor/coach in another district to give me perspective. Also, I attended the ICIC conference with an administrator to gain a shared understanding. Thank you @RachelLabuz !! #ICIC#educoach

Some districts in our state offer small rewards to staff who participate in coaching or who go to observe a colleague. Points earned go to the prize of carry-out deli sandwich for lunch. What do you all think about "rewards" like this?

At first I cringed. But I can see how this extrinsic motivation could encourage intrinsic motivation. But I’m still cringing a bit wondering if it weakens the concept of coaching. #educoach

Yes, we have to shift the mindset of others to see the value and why behind coaching. We have to show how it is something to believe in through our actions...positivity included! #educoach

A4 this may sound cheesy but its mostly the teachers that I work with that inspire me the most. They are underpaid, overworked, and the system can often set them up for failure yet they come to me to stretch their own learning and that can be such a scary thing to do. #educoach

Start small. See if you can have a few start and see what happens. You might be surprised how others join just from seeing others being willing to try it! #educoach
