They do! Why teach them just to memorize for one test, when you can TEACH them to be critical thinkers and truly master the content so we aren't reteaching every year? It's just frustrating, but thats where I get stubborn and say, "I will get through to them" #NoVAedchat

A3 I always liked dividing large assignments into smaller steps for Ss. I do the same for myself with big projects at work and with personal writing. It is easier to set a goal that is within reach! #NoVAedchat

We need to put ourselves in the shoes of our students more often! Last year I went to a paint night to paint a portrait. It was SO STRESSFUL! I was constantly comparing my work to others and checking the clock. Some of our students feel like that every day! #novaedchat

Our Art Teacher at my school does Adult Art night every Wednesday Night after school. Let me tell you the first couple times I went it was hard because I HATE not being good at something, but you're right it is good sometimes to be put in that position. #NoVAedchat

I totally agree! It's harder now that I'm out of the classroom, but when I was in the classroom or now when I work with Ss and they ask me a question about something and I am not sure, often times I will say not sure........lets try! #NoVAedchat
