A6: Nah, depends on test. S's reading ability can be a real life obstacle. NWEA, STAR, etc, can be useful tools for choosing mats.

Perhaps building a regular scheduled interval of revisit & revise; in the master schedule w intervention always ok

I appreciate how Dan allows his Ss the flexibility/freedom to use a variety of tools. He might intro a toolto Ss & vice-versa.

A6, 2: People tend to dislike the big, bad diagnostic. Learning is organic, but specific aspects of it can be quantified.
