A1. One of the best spring clean ups of all time was when we removed almost all of the file cabinets in the school. It was shocking for teachers to realize - "hey .. we don't need this stuff any more" (drill and kill worksheets) #makeitreal

I think I’m a pack rat. But realistically? If I didn’t use it? It’s lost it’s relevancy. Kids change, what is important and relevant changes. Just like I clean out my closet at home ‘cos fashion changes? So do things at school. #makeitreal

A3 I bought some 3D Doodlers. Not quite sure how to integrate them but I will. I’ve also been playing with Scoot Centers—and love the individual choice + time it’s giving my Littles to process. So, more of that! #MakeItReal
A2: I'll be launching a new podcast and a new sparkchat! The podcast will be for #MakeItReal and the chat will be for #HackingMath! Can't wait to try some new tools out with this as well!
A2: Looking to implement a third phase of creating a flexible seating environment - bouncy balls, barstools, yoga mats, various table heights year 1 => group seating areas, couches and cushions year two....any suggestions for year 3???? #makeitreal

A2) Great question. It makes me think of the @davidwees blog post a few weeks ago on a curriculum building platform that’s free and forever. I don’t know why I shouldn’t try and build that (relying heavily on my computer-programmer brother in law...). #makeitreal
A3 Hmmm 🤔 This may be silly but I tend to forget the power that PowerPoint (Or google slides) has to offer. There’s so much more than just a presentation tool! Amazing opportunities for creation and collaboration. #MakeItReal

A3 Great engaging (classic!)literature! I assumed Littles had been exposed to characters like Alexander, authors like Chris Van Allsburg & others! Classic picture books with depth + rigor to frame instruction. #MakeItReal
A3: We are bringing back some "old school" learning with some no tech days and book clubs. We did a #boldschool book study this year. Looking to do more next year! #makeitreal
A3: We are making our own Google logos with @scratch and a S asked if they could make something on Google Drawings and upload it to scratch. We did Google Drawings before Christmas. Made me proud they remembered. #makeitreal

I keep forgetting to check Add-Ons in GSuite when I’m missing a feature. I’d love to say I was the first to think of a new tool in those programs when I’m missing something - but sadly/happily I haven’t been yet! #makeitreal
A3: I've rediscovered the joy of screencasting to teach PD and lessons for Ss. Years ago I created 55 math videos for Gr3 Ss to use with EdPuzzle; now I'm swirling with ways to extend this to other contents/subjects! #makeitreal

A3: When I was in the classroom, I always liked to end with some non-tech stuff at end of yr. We would do a plate tectonics pop-up book. Ss got into it & created some really great ones! #MakeItReal
Anytime! The transition from static computer room to dynamic Innovation Lab has been incredible! So inspiring to see how the Ts and Ss are using this space! #makeitreal
A2 We are starting enrichment groups one Friday a month where the whole school attends. Ts focus on their passions to share w/kids. Kids choose from the topics. I’m most excited about this! #MakeItReal

Agreed! Just today I showed Gr4 Ss how to copy pics from my Drive (using a https://t.co/Ih5laBO9QI link) into their drive then import into their kindness passion projects! Then we cropped and resized - lots of learning in one task! #makeitreal
