A1: With the new semester starting Monday I'm overhauling some of my Digital Media class and changing some professional development training options for staff #CreateEdu
#CreateEdu A1: delta style measurements for global competency beyond the anecdotal linked to standards or MYP command terms. Really focusing on evidence of student learning in GC with our partner schools.

A1: This is not facetious, truly, but I am going to try to communicate and present (both in and out of the classroom) without resorting to using slide presentation software (ahem, PowerPoint). More creative and interactive communication, less bullet lists. #CreateEdu
A2: I really want my students to design memes that are more of a PSA than a silly joke...to take what they are used to and make them see it can be used for other more powerful things! #CreateEDU
A1) All About connecting my digital media course with other elective area classes this year. Currently creating a restaurant menu for our culinary arts class, to be followed by a new school brochure challenge from our awesome admin team. Love real world connections #CreateEDU

A2: I just want to consume less (other than reading full books) and WRITE more. This is the year of writing for me - mostly fiction. I've learned so much about myself and others through reading and writing fiction. Stories are so important! #createedu

We are using #gridpals to find schools in a variety of places (usually based on a book we have read) and then our Ss are creating @Flipgrid videos and Qs and sharing with Ss in those places! So far we have connected with Zambia and France hoping to continue! #CreateEDU
A3: I hope to use the #CreateEdu network to hold myself accountable to finally get things moving forward. I have a few projects that have stalled and 2019 is the year for me to finally put everything together publicly. 2019 will be the year of no excuses #timetogetthingsdone
A3: I use an accountability mirror in which I write down my goals on post its, and look at them when I look at myself in the mirror. Learned this from @davidgoggins and so far it's incredibly powerful. My goal is simple: Write more, consume less. #createedu

Related, I love seeing Ss get up in front of a class to teach a new tool. Same for watching 5th and 6th graders sitting on the floor helping 1st and 2nd graders with a video or graphic. It's empowering, and also imparts invaluable leadership and communication skills. #CreateEdu

I do this in my robotics classes. The Ss are using sensors and other technologies that I am aware of but have never used. So they get to research, experiment, figure it out, and teach me and their peers. #CreateEdu
